PALACIOZ, Betty R. - A memorial service for Betty R. Barrett Palacioz of Blaine will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Greenacres Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Palacioz of 8080 Harbor-view Road died Friday, July 8, 1994, at St. Joseph Hospital of cancer. She was 50.

PALEN, Guy James, age 67 years, of Eckman, North Dakota, passed away at a local hospital Tuesday, March 10, following a short illness, while visiting his daughter in this city. Mr. Palen was a retired railroad man and farmer, and was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. He is survived by one son, James Gilbert Palen, of Eckman; one daughter, Mrs. Irene Grace Fobair, of Bellingham; five grandchildren; and one brother, Charles S. Palen, of Eckman. Funeral arrangements are pending a the Westford-Beck Funeral Home.

PALISKA, Anton (Tony) age 70 of 1220 1/2 State st., passed away in a local hospital Saturday, Oct. 9, (1948). Mr. Paliska had been a resident of this community for many years and was a member of Croation Fraternal Union of America, Lodge No. 625. Surviving relatives are one brother, Mateo, of Jamaica, New York; one sister, Miss Grazzia Pailska (sic) and one step-daughter, Mrs. Myron Richardson of Laurel. The remains are at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth, where services will be conducted by the rev. Robert T. McFarlane, Thursday, October 14, at 1 p.m. Final resting place, Bay View.

PALLIES, William E., 79 of Auburn, died Mt. Vernon Wednesday, May 22, (1985). He was born in Tacoma, and as a child moved to Sumas where he graduated from the Sumas High school and later graduated from Washington State University. At that time he settled in Seattle where he worked for the Government in Civil Service and in 1952 moved to Auburn, living there until January of 1985. when he moved to Mt. Vernon to live with his son. His wife Evely preceded him in death in 1973. He was a member of the White River United Presbyterian Church of Auburn. Survivors are 2 sons, Donald W. Pallies of Mt. Vernon; Gerald E. Pallies of Racho-Cucamonga, California; 4 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the White River United Presbyterian Church in Auburn at 11 a.m. Sat., May 25. Burial will follow Tuesday, May 28 at the Mountain View Cemetery there. Under the direction of the Kerns Funeral Home, Mt. Vernon.

PALMBERG, Caryn A. Grappe, age 52, passed away Friday Dec. 4, (1992) at Swedish Hospital in Seattle of cancer. Born Sept. 30, 1940 in Bellingham, WA, Caryn graduated from Mt. Baker High School, and was also a graduate of St. Joseph's School of Nursing. Caryn has been a Registered Nurse for the past 30 years and for the last 17 years has been employed at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, with specialization in Labor and Delivery care. Survivors include Mother and Father, Aura and Knute Grappe of Bellingham; daughter Leah Palmberg of Ferndale; son Daniel Palmberg, a Marine stationed at 29 Palms, CA; sisters Verjean Golden of Deming, Denice Baggett of Custer, and Joanne Norris of Bellingham. A private family graveside service will be at Greenacres Memorial Park. PALMBERG, Lennart age 72, of Blaine, passed way Friday Dec. 22, (1984). He'd been a resident of Blaine for 6 months. A retired pipe fitter, he had been a long time resident of New Westminster, B.C. PALMER, Adga, age 71 years, of the Glacier Star Route, passed away in a local hospital following a lingering illness. Mrs. Palmer had been a resident of this community for the past 28 years. She is survived by her husband, Marion; one son,, Ear R., of Maple Falls; three granddaughters; one sister, Mrs. Sigrid Sandell of Oakland, Calif.; four brothers, Charles J. Nelson, of Kirkland, Hugo and Victor Manson, of Matsqui, B.C., and Axel Nelson of Sweden; also three nieces. Services will be held Saturday, August 25, at 1:30 p.m. from the Chapel of the Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden with the Rev. Clifton Trude officiating. Interment Lynden Cemetery.

PALMER, Albert, age 89, of 1606 F Street, passed away Wednesday, April 24, in a local hospital following a lingering illness. Mr. Palmer had resided in Bellingham for the past 50 years, and was a member of the Townsend Club No. 1, of which he was president. He leaves to survive his wife, Ermine E. Palmer of the home; two brothers, Marion of Deming and Ernst Palmer of Sedro Woolley; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Giles of Ferndale, and Mrs. Ida Dumas of Huntington Park, Calif. Numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 29, at 2 p.m. within the Cathedral Chapel of the Westford Funeral Home Interment, Lynden Cemetery.

PALMER, Ardis A., age 78 of Irving, Texas, passed away in Ferndale Thursday, March 8, 1984 while visiting her daughter. Mrs. Palmer had been visiting in Ferndale for several months and is survived by 2 daughters, Marsale P. and her husband Bill Schrader of Ferndale, Donna Y. and her husband Lawrence Gabel of Wills Point, Texas; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; Her remains will be forwarded from Moles Funeral Home to Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, Irving, Texas, for services and burial in the oak Grove Cemetery, Irving.

PALMER, Arza C., age 72, of Soap Lake, passed away at his home, Monday, April 3, (1954). He had been a pioneer resident of the Lynden district. Mr. Palmer is survived by three daughter, Mrs. Ella Tuor, Mrs. Evelyn Remington, both of Bellingham. Mrs. Hazel Nordby of Lynden; two sons, Ted of Walla Walla, Luther of soap Lake; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Swope of Lynden, Mrs. Lola King of Spokane, Mrs. Olive Mock of Bellingham; one brother, Roy of Lebec, Calif.; 12 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 8, at 2 p.m. from the Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden. Interment Lynden Cemetery.

PALMER, Cyril H. - A memorial service for Cyril H. "Cyr" Palmer of Birch Bay will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Greenacres Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Mason officiating. Mr. Palmer died Friday, Oct. 30, 1998 at St. Joseph Hospital. He was 78. Born Nov. 22, 1919 to William L. and Grace E. Hellier Palmer in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, he married Nancy Howard on June 1, 1940 in Detroit, Mich. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in France and was a member of Christ the King Community Church. An avid golfer, Mr. Palmer also enjoyed traveling with his fifth-wheel trailer. Survivors include his wife of Birch Bay; sons Dennis Palmer of Birch Bay and Gregory Palmer of Huntington Beach, Calif; brothers Almont Palmer, Harold Palmer, Ronald Palmer and Raymond Palmer, all of the Detroit area, and Gordon Palmer of California; sisters Sylvia Gordinier and Sandra Frame, both of the Detroit area; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives.

PALMER, Dalton, age 56, of 1700 E. Maplewood, passed away at a local hospital Wednesday, October 11, (1950). Mr. Palmer had been a resident of Bellingham for the past 15 years, for 13 years prior to that he made his home in Ferndale. He had been employed by the Whatcom County Dairyman's Association for the past 25 years, was a member of the Ferndale Lodge, No. 264, F. & A.M., and the teamsters Local. Surviving relatives include his wife, Thelma; two daughters, Mary Kathleen Palmer, of Yakima, and Margaret Ann Palmer at home; four brothers, and four sisters in the East; and numerous other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 13, at 1:30 p.m. at the Monroe Mortuary in Ferndale with Fr. W. Robert Webb officiating. Graveside services will be conducted by the Ferndale Lodge, No. 264, F. & A.M., in Bay View Cemetery.

PALMER, Dorothy, age 78 of Ferndale, WA, passed away July 9, 2002. She was born September 21, 1923 in Jacksonville, FL to William and Maude McDonald. Dorothy married Earl Palmer in 1946. She lived in Whatcom County for 47 years and worked as a home healthcare provider. Dorothy enjoyed Bingo and crochet and was loved dearly by her grandchildren and her entire family. Preceded in death by her husband Earl Palmer in 1985, her brothers, William and Robert McDonald, and a sister, Alma Ayers. Survived by her daughter, Jennifer and Chic Colyer of Kendall, WA; daughter Marian and Dave Berg of Ferndale, WA, daughter Susan and LeRoy Hall of Mukilteo, WA and sister Evelyn Johnson of Jacksonville, FL.; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Westford Funeral Home Friday noon to 2:00 p.m. and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. July 13, 2002. A reception will follow across the street at the Aftermath Hall.

PALMER, Earl R., age 64, 2019 Lincoln St., B'ham, died shortly after his disappearance in B'ham on Aug. 31st, (1985). He was born Aug. 4, 1921 in Port Angeles, and at age 7 moved to Whatcom Co. He had worked for many years as a longshoreman, and was a member of the International Longshoremans and Warehousemans Union, Local No. 7. He was a 1941 graduate of Mt. Baker High School and served in the Navy during WWII. He is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Jennifer and husband Alfred Colyer of Maple Falls, Mrs. Marian and husband Dave Berg of Ferndale, and Mrs. Susan and husband Leroy Hall of Longview. 14 grandchildren; and his former wife, Dorothy Palmer of Marysville; he is also preceded by a brother, Lawrence Russell; an a sister Dorothy Benedicto. Funeral services will be conducted on Mon., Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. Chapel of Gillies Funeral Home, Rev. Galen Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Lynden Cemetery.

PALMER, Elora Ivy, age 64, of Soap Lake, passed away at the home of her daughter, Thursday, February 3, following a short illness. Mrs. Palmer was a pioneer resident of the Lynden district and a member of the Woman's Relief Corps, the Delta Grange and a charter member of the Lynden V.F.W. Auxiliary. Surviving relatives include her husband, Arza C.; three daughter, Mrs. Ella Ruth Tour and Mrs. Evelyn M. Remington, both of Bellingham, and Mrs. Hazel Nordby, of Ferndale, Route 1; two sons, Theodore E., of Walla Walla, and Luther A., of Soap Lake; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Adah Bruce, of Seattle, and Mrs. Vergie Westlund, of Monterey, Calif.; three brothers, Vernie Clark, of Los Angeles, Roay E. Clark, of Montesano, and Percy A. Clark, of Walla Walla. Funeral services will be conducted in the Chapel of the Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden, Saturday, February 25, at 2 p.m., with he Rev. PALMER, Ernest, age 84 years of Sedro Woolley, passed away in a local hospital Monday, Sept. 20 (1957) following a short illness. Mr. palmer had resided in Sedro Woolley for, the past 13 years and was a pioneer of the Lynden district, coming here in 1901. Surviving are one son Ted of Sedro Woolley; five daughter, Sylva (sic) Bendy of St. Louis, Mo., Grace Massara of Lebanon, N.J., Leota Johnson of Bellingham, Pansy Zevenbergen and Ella Linne, both of Seattle; one brother, Marion of Deming; two sisters, Cora Giles of Ferndale, Ida Dumas of Huntington Park, Calif.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Oct. 5, at 1 p.m. in the Lemley Funeral Home in Sedro Woolley, followed by graveside services, Saturday, Oct. 5, at 3:30 p.m. in the Lynden Cemetery, under the direction of Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden.

PALMER, George Albert (Doc), age 93 years, of Route 1, Lynden, passed away at a local hospital Wednesday, March 4, (1953) following a short illness. Mr. Palmer was a pioneer resident of the Lynden district. He was past master and honorary member of the Lynden Masonic Lodge No. 12, O.E.S.; an honorary member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge No. 71 and of the Harmony Rebekah Lodge No. 35, of Lynden. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including Mrs. J. H. Swope and Mrs. Mattie Anderson of Lynden; A. C. Palmer of Soap Lake; Olive Mock, of Bellingham; Loren Nace of Deming; Charles, Glen and Victor Rogers, of Custer, and Mary Amidon, of Bellingham. PALMER, George Carlton, age 74, Rt. 1, Blaine, passed away in Seattle Wednesday, December 225, (1963). He had been a resident of Blaine for the past 72 years and is survived by his wife, Mildred; 2 sisters, Ethel Palmer of Blaine and Nell Conway, Seattle and a niece, Mrs. Alvin Ulrich, Seattle. PALMER, George W., age 62 of 236 Bayside Road, Bellingham, died Saturday, December 6, 1980. He was a School Administrator for the Spokane School District and retired Air Force captain. PALMER, Grace E., age 81, of E. Alpine Dr., Bellingham, passed away Saturday, August 14, 1993 at St. Francis Extended Health Care. She was born April 10, 1912 in Bellingham to James and Alice O'Neill Matthews and has been a lifetime Whatcom County resident. Mrs. Palmer was employed at Bellingham National Bank from 1950 to 1975. She recently served as a volunteer at St. Francis Extended Health Care and was an active member of Calvary Temple. Her hobbie included knitting; crocheting and needlepoint, much of which she enjoyed giving to family and charities. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, in 1968 and also preceded in death by sisters, Ruth Stangland and Ruby Stenger Montegomery (sic). She is survived by 2 sons, James & wife Patricia Palmer and Richard & wife Lillis all of Bellingham; 3 sisters, Anne Ritchie, Laura Rasmussen & husband Arvid, and Peggy Thon & husband Allan all of Bellingham; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Thursday, august 19, 2:00 p.m. at Greenacres Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Strum officiating. Interment will be at Greenacres Memorial Park. PALMER, Howard Lee, age 68, of Bellingham, died Thursday, February 2, 1995 at his residence. He was born April 22, 1926 in Bellingham, WA to Russell and Margaret (Mark) Palmer. Mr. Palmer proudly served 33 years in the U.S. Navy retiring in 1978. June 11, 1958 Howard married Evelyn Peterson Farmer in Las Vegas. He was an active member and past Chef DeGar of the 40 & 8, a member and past Commander of The Bellingham Post #7 American Legion, The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1585, The Bellingham Elks Lodge, and life member of the Masonic Lodge #20 in Yokosuka, Japan. Survived by his wife Evelyn Palmer of the family home; 3 sons, Richard Harris of Anacortes, WA; David Harris of California; Mark Harris of Bellingham; 3 daughters, Margaret Hurd of Oak Harbor; Janis Henry and Nancy Dixon, both of Bellingham; a brother, Donald Palmer of California; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives. PALMER, James - A gathering in memory of James "Jim" Palmer of Bellingham will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the American Legion Post No. 7. Private burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Mr. Palmer died Saturday, March 13, 1999, in Bellingham. He was 67. Born Mach 10, 1932, to Wayne and Grace Matthews Palmer in Bellingham, he graduated from Bellingham High School in 1950. During the Korean War, he served as a forward observer in the U.S. Marine Corps. From 1955 to 1983 he worked as a dispatcher for Bellingham Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and making custom fishing rods. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Maryann Nutter. Survivors include his wife, Patricia, whom he married May 15, 1954 in Bellingham; sons David Palmer of Ferndale and Richard Palmer of Bellingham; daughter Diana Noren of Hoquiam; brother Richard Palmer of Bellingham; seven grandchildren and other relatives.

PALMER, Karl A. - A memorial service for Karl A. Palmer of Bellingham will be in Pasco at a later date. Mr. Palmer died Wednesday, April 4, 2001, in Bellingham. He was 92. Mr. Palmer was born Nov. 30, 1908, to Axell and Hazel (Ferguson) Palmer in Kansas City, Kan. On June 15, 1938, he married Margaret McKelvey in Gibsonia, Pa. Mr. Palmer served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Tennessee and received the Meritious Service Award for Valor at Pearl Harbor Navy Yard on Dec. 7, 1941. Mr. Palmer was a 70-year member of the Mason Lodge. He also belonged to Scottish Rite free masonry in Kennewick and was a 45-year member of Pasco Presbyterian Church. He was the first PTA president of Mark Twain Elementary School in Pasco. He loved to travel. Survivors include his wife, of the family home son Karl O. Palmer of Bellingham daughter Patricia A. Palmer of Tacoma brother Clair N. Palmer of Matthews, N.C. and two grandchildren. Arrangements are by Moles Funeral Home of Ferndale.

PALMER, Lyna Kamm, age 74, of Seattle, died at her home on July 18, (1985). The daughter of Ernest and Martha Kamm, formerly of Lynden, Mrs. Palmer was born in big Lake, Wash. on June 20, 1911 and graduated from Lynden High school in 1928. She attended the University of Washington and worked for the state Agriculture department. She was retired from the Boeing Company. She is survived by one son, Rear Admiral Thomas A. Kamm and his wife of Orinda, Calif.; a grand-niece, Dr. Kristine Kamm of Dallas, Tex. and a grand-nephew, Thomas A. Kamm Jr., of New York City. Graveside services were held July 21 at Holy Rood Catholic Cemetery in Seattle. Requiem mass was observed on the same day at St. Johns Church.

PALMER, Newton E., age 72, of 130 Garfield St., Sumas passed away Monday, Jan. 10, (1977) A 22 year Whatcom County resident, Mr. Palmer was the retired camp ranger for the Mt. Baker Counsel of the Boy Scouts at Black Mountain Camps and previous to that had been employed for a number of years as a driver for the Warnick Lumber Co. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; a daughter, Mrs. Richard Sether in Vancouver, Wa. and 1 son, Thomas Palmer in Port Angeles and 2 grandsons, Joseph and James Palmer. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, Jan. 13 at 2:30 p.m. in Greenacres Memorial Park with Rev. H.E. Fruson officiating. Friends wishing may call at the Gillies Funeral Home before noon on Thursday.

PALMER, Nicholas, age 18 months who resided at 3040 E. Alpine Drive, passed away in a local hospital, Friday, October 2, 1981. He leaves to survive his mother, Carolyn Palmer; maternal grandparents, Richard & Lillis Palmer, all of Bellingham. Funeral services will be held October 5 at 10 a.m. in the Veroske, Jerns & LeVeck Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jim Kirkpatrick officiating. Interment to follow in Bay View Cemetery.

PALMER, Roy Franklin - A graveside service for Roy Franklin Palmer, age 11, a Lynden native, was held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at Lynden Cemetery. Mr. Palmer of Grants Pass, Ore. died Sunday, Jan. 15, 1989 in Grants Pass. He was born Dec. 11, 1888 in Lynden, one of 10 children. He began a logging career at age 11 greasing skids for logs on the Strait of Georgia. He marred Martha Triplett in 1904 [1907] and settled on 20 acres of land given to them by his father. He later went to Powell River, B.C., and worked in a paper mill. Survivors include a son, Raymond of Brooks, Ore.; a nephew; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements were by Hull and Hull Funeral Home in Grants Pass.

PALMER, Sam, age 56, passed away at Harborview Hospital, Sunday, Jan. 9. He was born in Oklahoma whee he spent his early years and received his education. Later moved to California and served with the Merchant Marines in World War II. Came to Sunnyside in 1948, later moved to Bellingham and for the past several years has lived in Seattle. He was employed in construction work as a pipefitter. Survived by 4 sons, David of Sacramento, Sam Jr. of Sedro Woolley, Lawrence and Michael, both of Bellingham; 1 daughter, Mrs. Frances Harris of Mt. Vernon; 4 grandchildren, 1 brother, Lawrence living in Sunnyside. Funeral services will be held Wed., Jan. 12 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Smith's Funeral Home, Sunnyside with Rev. Mark Dowdy of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. burial in the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens.

PALMER, Velma Edna of 1108 W. Bakerview Road died of congestive heart failure Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1993, at St. Joseph Hospital. She was 72. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Westford Funeral Home. Born Sept. 22, 1920, in Yacalt, Wash. to William Dotson and Velma White, She attended school in Yakima and Walla Walla. She married Hugh L. Palmer on Sept. 25, 1940, in Longview. Mrs. Palmer worked as a welder, building battle ships during, World War II. In Oregon, she worked for a county auditor's office and later in the state Department of Employment through a senior program. She was a member of the Church of Highlands in Eureka, Calif. Mrs. Palmer lived in Whatcom County the past five years. PALMER, Victoria, age 39 years, passed away at a local hospital, Thursday, September 8, (1949) following a long illness. Mrs. Palmer had lived in Bellingham since 1938. No relatives survive. PALMER, Wayne Elwin "Toots" died Monday, Aug. 16, 1993, in Montesano, Wash. He was 76. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Lynden Cemetery with the Rev. Marta Schellberg officiating. Born Oct. 5, 1916, in Ferndale to Archie Ray and Maude Lena (Wuscher) Palmer, he grew up in Lynden. He married Linnea R. Moon on March 31, 1939, in Seattle. A lifelong resident of Washington, Mr. Palmer worked in commercial and residential construction, retiring in 1973. He was a member of Bricklayers & Allied Craftsmen Local No. 2 of Washington, and the Clamdigger's Association. He enjoyed bowling, camping and growing vegetables. Mr. Palmer was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Elwin Palmer, in 1960, and by sisters Arlene Breuer in 1977 and Vernita Iverson in 1985. He is survived by his wife of Montesano; two daughters, Patricia Ann Linne' of Salem, Ore. and Vickie Susan Palmer of Colton, Ore.; and two brothers, Everett Alton Palmer of Richland and Leslie "Mike" Maurice Palmer of Seattle; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. PALMBERG, Caryn A. - Seattle resident Caryn A. Grappe Palmberg, died Friday, Dec. 4, 1992, at Swedish Hospital in Seattle. She was 52. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cornwall Park Church of God with the Rev. Kenneth Long officiating. Private graveside services will be held at Greenacres Memorial Park. She was born Sept. 30, 1940, in Bellingham. A graduate of Mount Baker High School and St. Joseph's School of Nursing, she was a registered nurse for 30 years. She worked the past 17 years at Swedish Hospital, specializing in labor and delivery care. PALMQUIST, Ethel M., age 6, of 1207 Meridian Rd., passed away in a local hospital, Wednesday, Sept. 17, (1958). Mrs. Palmquist had resided in this community for the past 43 yers and was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Survivors include her husband, Harry E., at home; one sister, Mrs. Grace Childs, of Laurel; numerous nieces and nephews. PALS, Louis Lambert, 77, 3231 Greenwood St., Bellingham, died Thursday (Aug. 18, 1983) at his residence. Pals had resided in Bellingham for the past 10 years and was a retired farmer. He was born March 24, 1906 in Iowa. He is survived by two daughters, Barbara A. Pals of City and Donna Mae Davis of Flint, Michigan; one son Leo Ray Pals of Burlington; four grandchildren, one sister Priscilla Bier and one brother Jake Pals, both of Iowa. PANCERZEWSKI, Katherine Barbara, age 70 years, formerly of Rt. 1, Everson, passed away in a local nursing home Thursday, Sept. 4, (1958). She was born Nov. 9, 1877. at Waseca. Minn., where she grew up and was married Nov. 24, 1879 (sic) to Bruno Pancerzewski. In 1923 they moved to Everson, moving to Bellingham in 1953. Mr. Pancerzewski passed away July 30, 1932. Surviving are one son, Joseph of Enumclaw; one daughter, Mrs. M. a Robinson of Bellingham; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. PANCOAST, Albert Edward, aged 45 years, 2701 Russell St., passed away at his home Saturday, July 28, (1945). Mr. Pancoast had resided here his entire lifetime and at the time of his passing was with the Brooks Lumber Co. Deceased was a member of the P.O.O. Elks and leaves the following survivors. PANCOAST, Edna C. - Funeral services for former Bellingham resident Edna C. Pancoast, 71, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home in Seattle. Cremation will follow services. PANCOAST, Howard J., age 79, of 5112 Seaview Dr., Blaine, passed away Fri., May 9th, (1986) in Blaine. He was a lifetime resident of the Bellingham area and was the son of pioneer grocers in Bellingham who operated Ireland & Pancoast Grocery. Mr. Pancoast served in the Whatcom County Sheriffs Dept and was the former manager of Woodlawn Cemetery. He also was a lifetime member of B.P.O.E. Lodge 194. PANCOAST, John R. (Jack), age 68, of 3001 Kulshan St., passed away in a local hospital, Sunday, Nov. 26, (1961). A life resident of Bellingham, Mr. Pancoast was a partner in the former Senate Cigar Store and was a partner in the Spenger-Pancoast Shoe Store. He was a member of the Congregational Church; a life member of the B.P.O. Elks Lodge 194 and was a member of the Bellingham Rotary Club. Survivors are his widow, Gaynelle, at home; one step-son, W. B. Glennan, of Rosamond, Calif.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Audrey Jacobsen, of Seattle; four grandchildren; one brother Ira Pancoast, of Seattle; one sister, Mrs. Mildred Borchardt, of Bellingham; numerous nieces and nephews. PANCOAST, Walter F., age 75, of 2201 Eldridge Ave., passed away at home Wednesday, Oct. 12, 1960. PANEK, David Michael, Dr., 77, died peacefully in his sleep at his home on November 10, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family. He will be deeply missed, in part for his kind and loving nature and his ever-present sense of humor. He was born in 1930 in Salem, Oregon to Michael Joseph Panek and E. Nathalie Smithburg. He had one brother, Donald Panek. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Beloit College, a Masters of Arts in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology from Washington State University. In 1964, he married Marjorie Jane Heberlein and the two made their home in Bellingham, Washington in 1965. He spent his career teaching psychology and counseling students at Western Washington University. He was well-liked by his students and particularly enjoyed teaching interviewing skills in the Masters program. He was an avid and skilled photographer who delighted his family with his beautiful pictures. He loved to travel, especially to Europe with his wife, and would return from trips with hundreds and hundreds of photographs. He also enjoyed listening to classical music and jazz, and camping throughout the western United States. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; his daughter, Kara and husband Paul DesJardien, of Olympia; his son, Douglas and fiancée Clarissa Mansfield, of Bellingham.

PANNETT, Ardella died Monday (Dec. 5, 1988) in Bellingham. Mrs. Pannett, 86, of 2858 Valley Parkway was born June 17, 1902, in Miles City, Mont. She lived in Whatcom County 40 years ago, but then moved to Eastern Washington. She returned to Whatcom County 10 years ago. She married Floyd Pannett in 1928. He died in 1983. She was a member of the First Christian Church. She also was a member of the Eastern Star, the Daughters of the Nile in Walla Walla. She graduated from the Bellingham Normal School, now Western Washington University. She was a former real estate broker in Walla Walla. She enjoyed sewing and decorating. Survivors include a daughter, Virginia Pribilsky of Bellingham; a brother, George Gathier of Des Moines, Wash; a sister, Winifred Parker; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Private family services are being arranged by Jerns and LeVeck Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.

PANOS, Gus, age 67, a resident of the Leopold Hotel, passed away at a local hospital Monday February 23, (1953) following a short illness. Mr. Panos had lived in Bellingham for the past 30 years, and was a well-known retired businessman. He was a member of the Greek Orghodox Church and of the Order of Aheppa. He leaves to survive two cousins, Louis Franks and James Franke, both of this city. PAPADAKIS, Helene Anthony, age 83 of Bellingham, WA passed away July 22, 2002 at St. Francis Health Care. She was born January 1, 1919 in St. Louis, Missouri to Robert and Mabel (Silvey) Anthony. She was a graduate of San Pedro High School. Helene married Gus Papadakis in San Pedro, CA in 1945. He preceded her in death in 1959. She worked at the family owned Anchor Liquors in San Pedro, CA. Helene enjoyed reading and gardening. Survived by her son, Steve Papadakis and wife Kathy of Bellingham, WA; daughter, Kay Papadakis of Arizona; sisters, Reba Wagner of Denver, CO, and Shirley Wick of San Pedro, CA; brother, Jack Saffel of Wilmington, CA; 5 grandchildren, Helen Paul, Luke Paul, Kim Clinard, Gus Papadakis and Alicia Papadakis; and 8 great grandchildren. PAPAKONSTANTINOU, Maria – A memorial service for Maria "Mary" (Gionake) Papakonstantinou of Athens, Greece, formerly of Whatcom County, will be held Friday in Patra, Greece. Mrs. Papakonstantinou died Saturday, May 13, 2000 in Athens. She was 70. Born Dec 20, 1929 to Patra to Athanasios and Thanasia Gionake, she lived in Whatcom County intermittently between 1970 and 1999. On Oct 13, 1955 she married Stephanos Papakonstantinou in Patra. Mrs. Papakonstantinou was a member of St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church. She enjoyed baking, knitting and joking with others. During her younger years, she enjoyed gardening, sewing and raising animals. Her brother Emanuel Gionake died previously. Survivors include her husband of Athens; son Pete Pappas and daughter Dimitra Walker, both of Bellingham; sisters Katina Patrogianes of Athens and Eleni Nikolopoulos and Xapoula Stouzas, both of Patra; three grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

PAPETTI, Philip - Vivil services for Philip Papetti, 72, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel in Pittsburg, Calif. A liturgy service will be at St. Peter's Maryr Church in Pittsburg, Calif. Mr. Papetti, of Pittsburg, Calif., owned a house in Bellingham, which he used part-time. He died Wednesday (Sept. 5, 1990) at his California home. He was bon No. 2, 1917 in Collinsville, Calif. Mr. Papetti was a commercial fisherman for more than 55 years. He fished in Washington and Alaska waters and was active fishing industry law. He married Mary Lombardo. Survivors include his wife, Mary; daughters, Patti Galli and May Lou Darone of Pittsburg, and Carol DiaMaggio and Paula Traynor of Walnut Creek, Calif.; son Vincent Darone of Oakley, Calif.; sisters, Matrida Cobieseeno of Sonoma, Calif., Rose Curreri of San Francisco, and Carmen Cattolico and Josie Leontini of Pittsburg; brothers, Savior and Dominic Papetti of Bellingham, Sam Papetti of Concord, Calif., and Joseph Papetti of Antioch, Calif., and nine grandchildren.

PAPPAS, Julia of The Willows died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 1994, in Huntington Beach, Calif. She was 93. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in Bayview Cemetery. Born April 20, 1900, in Greece, she lived in Bellingham for 50 years. Mrs. Pappas went to California in mind-December to be with one of her sons. She was a member of St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church. Her husband, Christopher Pappas, died in 1961. PAQUETTE, Hazel A., age 62, passed away at the family home, Route 3 Box 443 in Mount Vernon Wednesday, July 23, (1952). Mrs. Paquette had resided in this community for 30 years before moving to Skagit County one year ago. and was a member of the Eastern Star in Huntington Beach, Calif., and a member of the White Shrine in Bellingham. PARBERRY, George W., 2711 Victor Street, age 71 years, passed away Wednesday, May 29, at a local hospital. Mr. Parberry had been a resident of Bellingham for the past 51 years, and was a charter member of the Eagles Aerie No. 31. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ida Peterson, Ella Sherman, both of Bellingham; two brothers, J. L. Parberry of Scio, Oregon, Irving Parberry of Abbotsford, B.C.; many nephews and nieces. His remains rest at the Westford-Beck Funeral Home where funeral services will be conducted from the Cathedral Chapel Monday, June 3, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. James M. Wilson officiating. Interment, Lakeside Cemetery.

PARBERRY, Irving S., age 70 years old, of Deroche, B. C., passed away at a local hospital, Monday, July 19, following a short illness. Born in Volcano, Calif., in 1878, Mr. Parberry came to Bellingham Bay in 1918, when he moved to British Columbia. Mr. Parberry was a member of Elks Lodge No. 66, Aldergrove, B.C., and leaves to survive, the widow, Jenny, at home; four daughters, Nora Ashburn and Georgia Hart, both of Bellingham, Gloria Swanson, of Everson, Margaret Fleming, Hope, B.C.; seven sons, Floyd, Wickersham, Irving of Huntingdon, B.C., Jack, of Everson, and Richard, Whatcome Road, B.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Sherman and Mrs. Ida Peterson, Bellingham; one brother, Jack, Scio, Oregon; twelve grandchildren; one step-daughter, Judy Enerhaug, Victoria, B.C. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 22, at 2 p.m. in the Henderson Funeral Home at Abbotsford, B.C. Interment follows in the Kendall Cemetery.

PARBERRY, Josephine L., age 97, formerly of 3542 Northwest Ave., Bellingham died Saturday, March 20 (1993) in a Bellingham nursing home. She was born July 4, 1895 in Rawlins, Wyoming, to Hector and Jessie Mutton-Gawley. In 1898 she moved to Whatcom County and later met Louis H. Parberry Sr. They were married in 1915 in Bellingham and he preceded her in death in 1968. Mrs. Parberry loved caring for her family and rock hunting at the beach. She is survived by 2 son, Louis H. Parberry Jr. and Gordon B. Parberry, both of Bellingham; 1 daughter Geraldine Adema of Bellingham; 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. Private family graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 23, at Woodlawn Cemetery, with Pastor Timothy Lann officiating. Services are under the direction of Jones-Moles Funeral Home, Bellingham.

PARBERRY, Louis H. Sr., 83, 3542 Northwest Ave., died Monday, (Feb. 5, 1968). He was the retired owner of Parberry Iorn & Metal Co. Mr. Parberry worked for the Great Northern freight depot for ten years before going into the furniture business in 1923. In 1935 he started Parberry Iron & metal. He was a member of Birchwood Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his widow, Josephine, whom he married in 1915; two sons, Louis Jr. and Gordon, both of Bellingham; two daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Adema of Bellingham and Mrs. Lorraine Urbick of Mount Vernon; a half-brother, Dr. George Henson and 14 grandchildren. The Rev. Richard B. Stussi will conduct burial services at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Woodlawn Cemetery. Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

PARCHER, Claude E., age 49 years of Seattle, passed away in a Seattle hospital Monday, Oct. 15, (1956) following a brief illness. Mr. Parcher was a resident of Whatcom County for about 30 years and is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Leona Yarbrough of Custer; three brothers, Fred in Iowa; Joe of Lynden, and Bob of Stanwood; three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Widmark, North Bend, Ore.; Mrs. Florence Sample of Grandview, Wash., and Mrs. Lola Stedman, Vancouver, B.C.; three grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted in the Monroe Funeral Chapel in Ferndale, Saturday, Oct. 20 at 1:30 p.m. Final resting place Woodlawn Cemetery.

PARCHER, Donald E., 73, of Ferndale died at home Nov. 1, 1994. He was born to Joe and Treva Parcher March 25, 1921 in Erskine, Alberta. A longtime resident of Whatcom County, Don was a member of Elks Lodge 194. Teamsters local 231, and Whatcom County Sheriff's Posse. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed many yeas of fishing, boating and hunting. Don's experiences as a farrier, breeder, trainer and trick rider showed his special gift for horsemanship. He is survived by his wife Mardel; brother Delancy Parcher and sister-in-law Mary; daughter Lynn and husband Ken Bell; son Larry and daughter-in-law Trudy; son Greg and daughter-in-law Janny; four grandchildren and three nieces and nephews. A gathering of friends and family will be held at the Bellingham home of Lynn and Ken Bell, 2205 34th, at 2 p.m. Friday.

PARCHER, Joseph D., age 79, of Lynden, passed away Tuesday, June 8, (1976). Mr. Parcher was a retired farmer having resided in the Ferndale and Lynden communities the past 50 years. He was a WWI veteran of the Royal Canadian Air Force and for 30 years was active in raising, training and racing harness horses. He was a member of the U.S. Trotting Assoc. Surviving are his wife, Myrtle; two sons, Donald of North Bellingham and DeLancy of Lynden; two sisters, Florence Sample of Grandview and Lola Stedman of Vancouver, B.C.; one brother, Fred of Corning, Iowa; 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Sat., June 12 at 11 a.m. in Moles Funeral Chapel by Rev. Howard Armstrong, officiating. Family interment services will be held Monday at Woodlawn.

PARCHER, Myrtle Gilbert, 75, 115 S. 17th St., Lynden, died Wednesday (May 8, 1985) in Bellingham, after a brief illness. Mrs. Parcher was born Mar 6, 1910, in Dickey County, N. D., and moved t Oregon with her family in 1925. She worked in a lumber mill during World War II. She came to Lynden in 1963 and married Joseph Parcher there on April 8, 1963. He preceded her in death. Her first husband, George Gilbert, died in 1956. Survivors include two stepsons, Donald and wfe Mardel Parcher of Bellingham and Delancy and wife Mary Parcher of Lynden; six step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marian and husband Oliver Bettis of Gold Back, Ore.; Gertrude Brown of Eugene, Ore., and Freda Baird of Renton; and numerous nieces and nephews. At her request, there were no services. The body was cremated at Greenacres Crematorium. Inurnment was in Rest Haven Mausoleum, Eugene, Ore.

PARCHER, Noah Deforest, age 87 years, of Ferndale, passed away in Bellingham Saturday, May 16, (1953) following an extended illness. Mr. Parcher had been a resident of the Ferndale community for the past 27 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Bellingham. Mr. Parcher is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mabel Weidmark, of North Bend, Ore., Mrs. Florence Sample, of Grandview, Wash., and Mrs. Lola Stedman of Vancouver, B. C.; four sons, Fred in Iowa, Joe of Lynden, Bob of Stanwood, and Claude of Custer; 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Monroe Funeral Home in Ferndale Tuesday, May 19, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. J. W. Wheeler, of Stanwood, officiating. Interment, Woodlawn Cemetery.

PARCHER, Robert - Masonic funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday at Cemetery for Robert Parcher who died on Whidbey Island following a tractor accident. Earlier services will be held noon Tuesday at the Tiffany and Gunderson Funeral Home at Stanwood.

PARCHER, Timothy Gilbert - Private graveside services under the direction of Moles Funeral Home were held Nov. 22 for Timothy Gilbert Parcher, age 11. He died No. 21 after a lingering illness. The service was conducted in Greenacres Memorial Park by the Rev. Gerard Mayovsky. Timothy is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. DeLancy Parcher of 7992 Flynn Rd., Lynden; a sister, Kathy, and two brothers, Thomas and Daniel, all at home; grandparents, Mrs. M. Madsen of Ferndale and Mr and Mrs. Joe Parcher of Lynden.

PARCHER, Treva Lilly, age 59, of Rt. No. 2, Lynden, passed away suddenly at her home, Monday, Feb. 13, as the result of a heart attack. Mrs. Parcher had been a resident of Whatcom County for the past 35 years and was a member of the Wiser Lake Orthopedic Guild. She is survived by her husband, Joe D. Parcher; two sons, Donald and LeLancy, both of Lynden; one granddaughter, Lynn Parcher; two grandsons, Greg and Larry Parcher; one sister, Mrs. Gladys Giltner of Stettler, Alberta; also numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Feb. 17, at 1:30 p.m. in Moles' Monroe Chapel in Ferndale. Final resting place Woodlawn Cemetery.

PARDEE, Ward Gerard, age 64 of Ferndale died enroute from St. Joseph's Hospital in Bellingham to University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle on December 6, 1995. Mr. Pardee graduated from Hofstra University, Long Island, NY. He was a veteran of the Korean War and later joined the Mobil Oil Corp in 1956, then later transferred to the Ferndale refinery in 1981 now known as Tosco Northwest. Mr. Pardee was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Ferndale. Surviving are his wife Beth (Behan), sons William G. Pardee, James Pardee and wife of Bothell, Guy Pardee and wife of Mt. Vernon, NY; daughter Mary Elizabeth Pardee, Rosemary Bartolini and husband of Mahopac, NY, Pamela Denkel and husband of Centreville, MD; and four grandchildren. A funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 12, 1995 at 6 p.m. at Moles Funeral home Chapel in Ferndale with Rev. Richard Wyanski officiating. Arrangements by Moles Funeral Home, Ferndale.

PAREIS, Marguerite O., 93, died Sunday in Bellingham. Mrs. Pareis, 2726 Alderwood Ave., was born Nov. 15, 1894, in Elizabeth, N. J. Survivors include her son, E. Nelson Pareis, of Lions Bay, B. C. Funeral services and burial will be in Hillside, N.J. Local arrangements are by Jones Funeral Home.

PARENT, Christopher Amand - Private services had been conducted for Christopher Amand Parent, 86, 526 W. King Tut Road. He died Sunday in Bellingham. Mr. Parent was born May 25, 1900, in Portland, and had been a local resident for 7 1/2 years. He married Helga M. Wallin March 16, 1929. Mr. Parent was a civil engineer and structural engineer in Washington and Alaska and was a self-employed commercial pilot in Alaska, where he lived for 30 years. He was a life member of the Tacoma Lodge No. 22 F & AM; the Ballard chapter of the Royal Arch Masons; the Tacoma chapter of R.A.M.; the Ivanhoe Commandry Knight Templers; the Nile Temple; and the Occidental Chapter of the Eastern Star. He was a member of the Society of Military Engineers, a fellow member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Institute of Mining and Metallurgical Engineers, the Aircraft Owners and Pilot's Association and the Alaska-Yukon Pioneers. Survivors include his wife, of the family home; a daughter Margaret (Peggy) M. Tuttle McLellan of Bellevue; two sons, Richard A. of Seattle, D. Bruce Parent of Fairbanks, Alaska; nie grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Jerns and LeVeck Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.

PARHAM, Caleb James, age 18, of 2841 Leeward Way, Bellingham, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 1992 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Born November 10, 1973 in Moses Lake, WA to Don and Judi Parham, the family moved to Whatcom County in June, 1989. A graduate of Ferndale High School in June, 1992; awarded the National Merit Commended Student, Presidential Academic Fitness Award, Washington State Honors Awrd, Foreign Language Outstanding Senior, ASB Vice President, Honor Society member and Drama. Survived by his parents, Don and Judi Parham of Bellingham; 3 brothers, Tate Parham of Diamond Bar, Ca., Luke Parham of Provo, Utah, Isaac Parham of the home; sister, Bonnie Parham of the home; grandparents, Walter and Beverly Gunderson of Bellingham, Warren and Gladys Parham of Moses Lake, WA; many other relatives. Memorial service Sunday, October 25, 1992, 2:30 p.m. at Good News Fellowship Gymnasium, 1252 West Axton Road, Ferndale, WA with Tom Franks and Francis Ball officiating. Cremation. PARISH, Elin M., age 79, 838 Main St., Lynden, passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 24, 1987. She was born Aug. 19, 1907, in Tacoma, graduated from Lincoln High School and then received a life diploma in education from Central Washington College in Ellensburg. She was married to her husband, Glenn, in Tacoma on June 15, 1935. They then moved to Concrete where Mr. Parish was engaged in logging and Mrs. Parish taught for a short time at Clear Lake. In 1957 the family moved to Lynden and Mr. Parish became affiliated with Lynden Transfer and Milky Way Inc. She was a charter member of Hope Lutheran Church in Lynden and was also a member of Cardinal Rebekah Lodge No. 164 and had received its highest honor., the Decoration of Chivalry. Mrs. Parish was preceded in death by her husband in October 1986. She is survived by two sons, Gary and wife Carolyn of Seattle, and Paul and wife Alene of Lynden; a daughter, Glenda Parish Miller of Lynden; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; a brother, Ernest Jonason of Tacoma; a sister, Mrs. Vera Pemberton of Kent; and numerous other relatives. Memorial funeral services were conducted on Friday, March 27, at 2 p.m. in Hope Lutheran Church with Rev. David Hungerford officiating. Private family interment preceded in Lynden Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Gillies Funeral Home, Lynden.

PARISH, Ella M., 90, a Mt. Vernon resident, died there Sunday, Oct. 23, (1977). Born in Auburn, Neb., July 18, 1887, came to Washington as a child settling at Birch Bay, educated there and married Lee Parish in Lynden, April 29, 1906. Last April the couple celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary. They had resided in Idaho, Tacoma and Anacortes and in 1952 settled in Mt. Vernon, where she had resided since. She was a member of the World Wide Church of God. Survivors are her husband, Lee; a daughter, Beth Parish of Mt. Vernon; 1 son, Glenn Parish of Lynden; 2 sisters, Rhoda Buck of Battleground and Marie Hageman of Mt. Vernon; 2 brothers, John Bailey of Everett and Clifford Bailey of Mt. Vernon; 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Wed. at 1 p.m. with burial to follow there. She will lie in state at the Kern Funeral Chape, Mt. Vernon until noon Wednesday.

PARISH, Glenn Gilbert - A memorial service for Glenn Gilbert Parish, 77, of Lynden, was held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, at Hope Lutheran Church in Lynden, following a private graveside service. Mr. Parish died Friday Oct. 31, 1986, at a Bellingham convalescent center. He was born Aug. 10, 1909, in Lynden, and grew up and attended schools in Plummer, Idaho. He attended Washington State University in Pullman. At an early age he entered the trucking business with his father. On June 15, 1934, he married Elin Margaret Jonason in Tacoma. They lived in Concrete from 1935 to 1956. In Concrete, Mr. Parish was employed in off-highway log hauling and was associated with the w. S. VanDeGrift firm. In 1956, the family moved to Lynden, where Mr. Parish began a long association with Lynden Transfer Inc. and Milky Way. After retirement, he formed a dairy farming partnership with his son, Paul. He was a charter member of Hope Lutheran Church and served on its first board of directors. He was a member of the Odd Fellows and Rebekah's Lodge, and a member of the Washington Teamsters Union. Survivors included his wife, Elin, of the family home; two sons, Gary W. Parish of Seattle and Paul Parish of Lynden; one daughter, Glenda Parish Miller of Lynden; his father, Lee Parish of Mount Vernon; a sister, Bethany Parish of Mount Vernon; and six grandchildren. His mother Ella Parish, died in 1977. Arrangements were by Greenacres Funeral Home.

PARISH, Jennie Anderson, age 73 years of 2110 New Street passed away suddenly Friday, July 5, in Morton, Wash. Mrs. Parish was a member of the Royal Neighbors i Kearney, Neb. and the Nazareth Order of the White Shrine. Surviving relatives include one son, Lester Anderson, City and one daughter, Mrs. Robert P. Muir of Morton; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 9 at 10:30 a.m. within the Cathedral Chapel of the Westford Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Naff, pastor of the First Christian Church officiating. Interment Bayview.

PARISH, Lee, age 104, of Avon in Skagit County, died at his home Sunday, Jan. 18, 1987. He was born Aug. 14, 1882, in Alma, Neb., the youngest of eight children. When he was young, his father died from an injury suffered in the Civil War. Parish and his brothers continued to operate the family's large crop and livestock farm. In 1904, he and his mother, a brother and other family members drove horses on two wagons from Alma to Lynden. Thr trip took four months. He married Ella Bailey in 1906 in Lynden. She preceded him in death in 1977, after the couple celebrated its 71st wedding anniversary. He is survived by a daughter, Beth, with whom he made his home; a daughter-in-law, Elin Parrish of Lynden; three grandchildren, Gary Parish and wife Carolyn of Seattle, Glenda Parish Miller and Paul Parish and wife Alene of Lynden; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. He was preceded in death by his son, Glenn, in October 1986.
