LAW, Anna, age 81, of 2114 Walnut St. passed away Friday, Oct. 23, (1964). Miss Law had been a life resident of this community; had attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church; was a member of the Daughters of Pioneers; the Clamdiggers, and was a member of Elen Hogberg Auxiliary of the St. Lukes Assistance League. She leaves to survive one sister, Mrs. Rose Morrie of Ferndale and nephews and nieces including Mrs. Frances Vander Yacht of Ferndale. The remains rest at the Jones Funeral Home where services will be conducted by the Rev. Fr. W. Robert Webb Tuesday, October 27, at 10:30 a.m. Final resting place Woodlawn.
LAW, Everett E., age 74 of 1160 Hannegan Road, Bellingham, passed away in his home, Monday, Dec. 18, (1961) following a short illness. He had been a resident of the Laurel area since 1949. Surviving are his wife Lydia; one son, Pete of Redondo Beach, Calif.; three brothers, Carl Law, Amarillo, Texas, Ray Law of Muskegon, Mich., and Russell Law, Crisman, Ill., one sister, Mrs. Mary Isum of Springfield, Ill. Also four grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden, Thursday, Dec. 21, at 1 p.m. Rev. James Updike officiating.
LAWLER, John Howard of Philip, S.D., died Friday, Aug. 15, 1997, at St. Joseph Hospital. He was 71. Lawler was born May 30, 1926, in Winner, S.D., to Daniel and Alice Imm Lawler. Survivors include his wife, Bette Lawler of the family home; son Brian Lawler of Bellingham; daughter Myrna Miller of Montana; two grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew. Private family services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Jerns LeVeck Funeral Chapel of Bellingham.
LAWLOR, Lavella S. of Bellingham died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 1996, at Sehome Park Care Center. She was 82. At her request, no service will be held. Born Aug. 28, 1914 to Howard and Anna Neilsen Washburn in Blaine, she lived in Whatcom County all her life. She attended Garden Street United Methodist Church. Survivors include her sister, Kay Crocker of Bellingham. Arrangements are by Greenacres Funeral Home.

She leaves to survive her mother, Mrs. LaVella Lawlor of this city, her father Sidney Lawlor of Everett, maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Brown of this city, paternal grandmother, Mrs. Maybelle Lawlor of Oakland, 2 aunts, 1 uncle and many other relatives. Requiem high mass will be sung Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 10:30 a.m. from the Church of the Assumption, under the direction of the Westford Funeral Home. Interment Greenacres.

LAWRENCE, Arta F., age 90, of 702 32nd St., died Fri. March 13, 1981. A resident of this community since 1955, Miss Lawrence was a member of Garden Street Methodist Church; A.A.U.W.; Delta Kappa Gamma; member National Retired Teacher's Association; member of W.W.U. Foundation; member of President's Council on Aging; First person chosen as Citizen of the Year by Senior Citizens; was selected as Washington State Teacher of the Year; former Editor of Washington State Retired Teacher's Journal; graduate of Whatcom High School, Bellingham Normal School and University of Washington. She attended Stanford University where she received a Degree and also received her Master's Degree as a librarian from Case-Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio; attended Columbia University; taught in many elementary schools and E.W.C.E. at Cheney, San Jose California State College; Eastern Oregon College of Education at LaGrande, Oregon; concluding her teaching career at Grays Harbor College in Aberdeen Washington. She was also asked to implement the accreditation process of Whitworth College in Spokane but declined, to care for her mother. In 1937 she received a letter of commendation from the Oregon State Department of Education for assistance she gave in writing new courses of study. She leaves to survive 1 sister, Mrs. Edna L. Tjoelker of Everson; 1 brother Morton and wife Bessie Lawrence of Everson; numerous nieces & nephews. Memorial service Mon. March 16, 2 p.m. in Garden Street Methodist Church with Rev. Edgar L. LAWRENCE, Arthur Benjamin - There will be no local services for Arthur Benjamin Lawrence, 89, of Kirby, Ore., who died Monday (July 31, 19889) in Bellingham. He was born July 5, 1900, in British Columbia. Burial will be in San Francisco. Local arrangements are by Jones Funeral Home.
LAWRENCE, Bessie Agnes, age 79 of Woodinville, died February 19, 1997. She was born April 7, 1917 in Cove, Oregon. She graduated from Multnomah School of the Bible & Eastern Oregon in La Grande, OR. She taught elementary school for 1 year. She was married June 20, 1947 and moved to Everson, WA shortly after, residing on the farm until 1990. She was a long time member of Goshen Community Church in Everson. She moved to Bothell in 1990 and attended Northcreek Baptist Church until illness preventer her. Bessie was a Sunday School and VBS teacher, hosted Good News Clubs, Women's Bible Study Leader and participant, prayer warrior - especially for her many missionary friends from her days at Multnomah. Above all, she was a loving wife and mother who made a profession of caregiving. She cared for her children, grandchildren, parents, mother-in-law, friends and husband in their times of need. She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Morton Lawrence of Woodinville; daughter and son-in-law, Eunice and Malcolm Powell of Woodinville; daughter, Ardis Lawrence of Lynnwood; sister, Dorothy Dryden of Spokane; brother, Leonard & (Irene) Golay of Nampa, Idaho; and 2 grandchildren, Marcella & Johnathon. She was preceded in death by her son Lawton. Graveside services will be, Friday, February 21, 1997 at 11: a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial service will follow Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Goshen Community Church on Mission Rd. in Everson.
LAWRENCE, Bonnie, age 71, a lifelong resident of Whatcom County, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2015, surrounded by her loved ones. Bonnie was born on June 18, 1944, to Earl and Pearl Hickey. She graduated from Nooksack Valley High School in 1962 and married Oscar Rauch in 1964. Throughout her life, Bonnie was a loyal daughter and sister, a devoted mother of four and a committed Christian. For many years, Bonnie worked as an office assistant. She raised her children on her own and at age 54 married Reverend John Lawrence. Bonnie like to help people and did so whenever she was able. She often gave her time, energy and talents to make life better for others. Her relationships with people made her very happy. At retirement she became an active part of the Ferndale and Bellingham senior centers, Hamilton Place Senior Living and Trinity Lutheran Church. Bonnie is survived by her four children: Marvin Rauch, Charlene Paz, Deanna Leslie and husband Charles and Elizabeth Garrett and husband Bill; and 12 grandchildren, who all live in Whatcom County. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband John; and daughter Saundra Rauch. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2015, in Trinity Lutheran Church of Bellingham with reception following. Arrangements are by Whatcom Cremation & Funeral.
LAWRENCE, Charles, Sgt., who was 25 year of age at the time he was killed in action while serving with the U.S. Army in Germany, March 26, 1945. He i by his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Lawrence; two brothers, Frank and James; and seven sisters, Mrs. Helen Scott, Mrs. Margaret Olson, Mrs. Isabelle McKluskey, Cordelia, Mary Jane, Irene and Hazel Lawrence. Requiem mass will be sung at the Lummi Reservation Catholic Church Tuesday morning, December 21 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. William O'Brien officiating. John H. Kittles Post No. 196 of the American Legion will conduct military honors at the graveside in the Lummi Reservation Cemetery. Interment under the direction of the Monroe Chapel in Ferndale.
LAWRENCE, Eddie Dean, age 26 of 4170 Rural Ave., Bellingham passed away Friday, Sept. 3, 1982. Eddie was a life time resident of the Lummi Reservation and is survived by his mother, Laureen Lawrence; his father James Lawrence Sr.; 5 brothers, Ken, Leonard, Wilfred, Ronald & Julian; 2 sisters, Deborah Hillaire & Theresa Lawrence; grandparents, Laura and Isadore Tom, all of Lummi; numerous aunts uncles. LAWRENCE, Elvis Solomon, age 76 of Bellingham, WA, died May 10, 1997 at Bellingham Health Care. He was born March 31, 1921 in Joyce, Louisiana to Woodie and Ivey (Smith) Lawrence. Elvis married Lurlene Halsey April 7, 1940 in Chatham, LA. He was a graduate of Yakima Business College and was bookkeeper for Western Farmers. Mr. Lawrence was a member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed family, grandchildren, fishing, gardening, yard work, and the outdoors. Survived by his beloved wife, Lurlene Lawrence of Bellingham; daughter, Charolette Moravec of Bellingham; son, Wayne Lawrence of Las Vegas, NV; brothers, Elsworth Lawrence of Shreveport, LA, Travis Lawrence of Sunnyside, WA; a sister, Nelda Poole of Yakima, WA; 3 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. LAWRENCE, Frank L. Sr. - Intalco Aluminum Corp. worker Frank L. Lawrence Sr., 65, of 1861 Marine Drive died Thursday (Dec. 1, 1988) in a Bellingham hospital. He was born April 3, 1923, at Lummi Indian Reservation, and was a lifetime resident of Whatcom County. He was a metal worker at Intalco Aluminum Corp. near Ferndale. He also had been a commercial fisherman and a sawmill worker. Mr. Lawrence served in the U.S. Army in the Philippines during World War II. Mr. Lawrence was a member of St. Joachim's Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife Rose; six sons, Frank Lawrence Jr., Charles "Peter" Lawrence, Paul Lawrence, Mark Lawrence and John Lawrence, all of Lummi Indian Reservation, and Robert Lawrence of Shelton; two daughters, Rita L. Gobin of Everett and Helena Sanchez of Bellingham; 24 grandchildren; six sisters, Helen Hillaire of Bellingham, Isabelle McClusky Cordelia Lorenz, Hazel Lawrence and Mary Johnson, all of the Lummi Indian Reservation, and Irene James of Ferndale; a brother, Jimmy John Lawrence; and numerous nieces and nephews. Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Lummi Neighborhood Facility. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Jack Buckalew at 10 a.m. Monday, also at the facility. Lawrence was born June 21, 1917 in Minneapolis, MN to John & Clara Lawrence. He was an Episcopal Priest for many years and was deeply devoted to the church and its ministry. Rev. Lawrence had a great love for and interest in people. Survivors include his wife, Gwenyth Lawrence of the family home; son, Rodney Lawrence of Portland; daughter, Patricia Anne Lawrence of Lummi Island; foster-son, Patrick McMurry of Spokane and 2 grandsons, Christopher & David of Portland. Holy Eucharist services will be held Wed. March 27, 1991 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Pauls Episcopal Church, the Rt. Rev. Vincent W. LAWRENCE, James Johnny, Jr., 4170 Rural Ave, Bellingham, died after a Feb. 19, (1982) auto accident near Alger on Intertate-5. He was born Sept. 24, 1954, in Bellingham and was a lifetime resident of the Lummi Reservation. He was a member of the Ce-Ouen Longhouse. He is survived by a son and three daughters, his parents, grandparents, six brothers and two sisters. Vigil service will be at the Lummi Neighborhood Facility at 7 p.m. today. Funeral service will be at the same place at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will follow in the Lummi Reservation Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Moles Funeral Home.

A pastor for 40 years, John spent his retirement doing volunteer ministry, like being chaplin of the American Legion and Custer VFW. He is remembered for his sense of humor and making people laugh. Mr. Lawrence was taken ill while enroute to his home from California. Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Aikens of Oketoke, Alberta, Canada. The remains rest at the Jones Funeral Home. The remains will be forwarded to Okotake, Alberta, Canada, for services and interment.

LAWRENCE, Lyle E., age 37, of Port Angeles, passed away Monday, Sept. 24th, (1962) in a Seattle hospital following a logging accident. Mr. Lawrence served in the Army Air Force in World War II and was a member of the American Legion and the Pulp Mill Workers Union Local No. 155. He is survived by his wife Beverlee, one daughter, Karen Ann, three sons, Richard, Ronald and James, all at home, two brothers, Edmond of Burley and William of Mount Vernon, three sisters, Mrs. Elwood Newell and Mrs. Jack Lund, both of Port Angeles, and Mrs. Robert Christensen of Bellingham, numerous other relatives. LAWRENCE, Morton, age 89 of Woodinville, died April 1, 1998. He was born on January 14, 1909 in Davenport, Washington. The Lawrence family moved to Bellingham and then to a dairy farm in the Everson area where Morton spent most of the next 80 years of his life. He married Bessie Golay of Cove, Oregon on June 20, 1947. In 1990, Morton moved to Bothell, then to Woodinville for the remained of his life. Although Morton's chosen vocation was dairy farming, his outside interests and activities were many. Involved in the Goshen Community Church as deacon, Sunday school teacher, and visitation. Morton was also active with the Ferndale Camp Meeting, American Missionary Fellowship and Northcreek Baptist Church of Bothell. He enjoyed participation in the Meridian High School alumnus functions, Bellingham Herald Readership panel, and organizing an annual Easter Sunrise service on his farm. Morton is also remembered as a gardener, raiser of fruit trees, county historian, woodsman, writer, loving husband, father, and grandfather. Morton is survived by his daughter, Ardis Lawrence of Lynnwood, daughter and son-in-law, Eunice and Malcolm Powell of Woodinville; and 2 grandchildren, Marcella Powell of Seattle and Jonathan Powell. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Bessie and son Lawton. Graveside service will be 1 pm Monday, April 6, 1998 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Ferndale. Memorial Service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Goshen Community Church, Everson.

Surviving are his wife, Madeline; seven daughters, Mrs. Helen Hillaire, Mrs. Isabelle McClosky, Mrs. Mary Johnson, all of Beach Star route, Mrs. Margaret Olsen, Mrs. Cordelia James, Miss Irene Lawrence and Miss Hazel Lawrence, all of Marietta; two sons, Frank and James, both of Marietta, and thirteen grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joachim's church with the Rev. Father Donald Conger officiating. Interment will be in the Lummi reservation cemetery under the direction of the Monroe funeral home at Ferndale.
(From The Bellingham Herald, 20 Oct 1952) Submitted by Merrily Lawson.LAWRENCE, Robert C. – A celebration of life memorial for Robert "Bob" Carl Lawrence of Birch Bay will be at 3 p.m. next Saturday at the Birch Bay American Legion Post No. 86 in the downstairs area. Mr. Lawrence died Thursday, Feb 15, 2001, at his home. He was 73. Born May 23, 1927, to Wilmont and Dorothy (Newton) Lawrence in Mount Vernon, Ohio, he moved to Richland when he was a young man. Mr. Lawrence served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Lawrence worked in the nuclear industry most of his life before moving to Blaine 13 years ago. He also owned and operated a bulldozing company. On May 13, 1991, he married Sue Ganzeveld in Las Vegas. Mr. Lawrence was a member of the Birch Bay American Legion Post No. 86 and a former member of the Elks and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Lawrence had been a resident of Bellingham for the past twenty-one months and had been employed by the Olympic Portland Cement Company, and was a training officer with the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Opal Lawrence, of Bellingham, and relatives in the East. LAWRENCE, William Albert, age 76 of 8959 Frost Rd., Sumas, passed away suddenly Monday, April 4, (1977). On Aug. 18, 1921 Mr. Lawrence was married to Viola Mathes in Scott City, Kans. and in 1937 they moved to Sumas. Besides his wife, Viola, he is survived by a son, Alvin and his wife, Lila, of Deming; a daughter, Mrs. Velma and her husband, Winten Hoy, of Everson; 3 sisters, Mrs. Gladys Elrod of Albuquerque, New Mex., Mrs. Ruth Briscoe of Claramore, Okla. and Mrs. Pearl Green of Wichita, Kans.; a half-brother, George Lawrence in Houston, Tex.; 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren. LAWSON, Delesta Nadene, age 71, passed away on August 2, 2007 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Delesta was born on July 31, 1936, in Bellingham. She had been a lifelong resident of Whatcom County. She was predeceased by her parents, Clarence H. and Mabel T. Smith, and husband Bill Albee. Delesta is survived by four children, Greg Albee, Judy Wilcox and Debbie Albee, all of Bellingham, and Dan (Becky) Albee of Marshall, NC; two sisters, Berdell (Richard) Holden of Bellingham and Clarice (Neil) Solvik of Everson; nine grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren; and special friend Wally Thompson. Delesta's family wishes to thank the staff and nurses at Alderwood Park Conv. Center for the wonderful care in her final weeks, and also thank you to Hospice for their loving care since last December. LAWSON, Orpha Mae - Long time resident Orpha Mae Lawson of 1200 Lincoln Street died Feb. 19, 1990 in a local nursing home. She was born Sept. 12, 1905 in Arlington, SD, the daughter of Reverend Luther and Marion Ross. After attending Sioux Falls College she taught school in Farragut IO (sic). On Aug. 17, 1930 she married Caleb Lawson in Alcester, SD where they farmed until the family moved to Bellingham in 1940. She taught in the Bellingham Public School System assisting with the speech and hearing impaired and was an active member of the First Baptist Church, the Writers Club and the Friends of the Library. Survivors include sons Jerry of Bellingham, George of Seattle and daughter Rhoda Barber of Ellensburg, five grandchildren, sister Esther Lawson of Bellingham and brother Walter Ross of Buellton CA. Her husband Caleb Lawson passed away in Oct. 1989. The public is invited to memorial services to be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church.

LAXDAL, James Stoney passed away on Friday, August 11, 2006, in Bellingham. He was 63, born April 9, 1943, in Grafton, ND to Frank and Anna (Byron) Laxdal. James graduated from Blaine High School and WWU with a BA in Political Science. He founded Avium Arts and considered himself a spiritual counselor. James was chairman of the board for the We Can Association for several years and worked with legislators to secure resources for the mentally ill. As a mental health advocate, he helped establish the Rainbow Center in Bellingham. He also helped start a support group for the mentally ill in Lynden, WA. James was a talented musician, artist, performer, philosopher, and writer. He found solace in creating and sharing his music and art. James is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughters, Heidi Theisen of Sumas and Tracy Laxdal of Seattle; sister Doreen Shaver of Auburn; and brother John Laxdal of Redmond. A memorial service will be held Friday, August 25 at 12 noon, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bellingham with inurnment to follow in Greenacres Memorial Park.

LAYH, Marjorie D. passed away October 16, 2006 peacefully, surrounded by her family at her residence in Ferndale, WA. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Ronald Layh; son Phillip D. Layh and wife Margaret; daughter Cheryl Wilson and husband Ron; 2 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren. She served in the RAF during WWII. Marjorie was originally from England and lived most of her adult life in Australia. Wilson and former son-in-law Ron Wilson; 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He served in England with the Royal Australian Air Force during WWII as a Bomber Pilot and received the Distinguished Flying Cross from King George VI. Ron was originally from Australia. LAYNE, Sean Michael, 61 of San Rafael, CA, passed away Jan. 9, 2002, in Greenbrae, CA. His two sisters, Laurie Layne of Bellingham and Kerry Bostrom of San Francisco, CA, survive Mr. Layne. A Graveside Service, officiating by Rev. John Andey, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, in Enterprise Cemetery. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mary Campbell, of Everett, and Mrs. David Williams, of Blaine. Also one grandchild, David Campbell. Two brothers, Lee and Claude, both of California, and one sister, Effie Brinley, of Arkansas, also survive. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 25, at 2 p.m. from the McKinney Funeral Home in Blaine with the Rev. A. B. C. Nelson officiating, followed by ritualistic graveside services conducted by the Masonic Lodge. Interment in Blaine Cemetery.
LAYTON, Charles, age 75 years, passed away at a local hospital, Wednesday, November 30, (1949). Mr. Layton had lived in Bellingham for the past 30 years and for 37 years was a locomotive engineer for the Northern Pacific Railroad, and a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. His survivors include two nephews, Bush and Harry A. Leighton, Seattle; two nieces, Mrs. Charles Gilkey, Seattle, and Mrs. George Worden, Olympia. The remains rest at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where services will be conducted by the Rev. Daniel E. Taylor, Monday, December 5, at 11 a.m. Final resting place, Bay View Cemetery.
LAYTON, Mary, age 57 years, the beloved wife of Charles Layton, passed away at Tacoma hospital, Wednesday, June 20, (1945) following a brief illness. Mrs. Layton had been a resident of Whatcom County until about four months ago, she went to Tacoma. She was a member of the Church of Assumption and leaves to survive, besides her husband, two daughter, Mrs. Bernice Clarke, of Spokane, and Mrs. Eleanor Sly, Tacoma; one son, James Petersen, of Bellingham, and one grandchild; her mother, Mrs. Ann Radonski, of Clipper, and two sisters, Mrs. Nels Petersen and Mrs. Joseph Smith, both of Clipper. The remains are resting at the Bingham-Dahlquist funeral home. Rosary will be said at the Church of the Assumption, Monday, June 25, at 7:30 p.m. Requiem mass will be celebrated for the repose of the soul within the Church of the Assumption, Tuesday, June 26, at 10 a.m. with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. J. C. Stafford officiating. Interment will follow in Bay View Cemetery.
LAYZELL, Charlotte I., 84, 923 Racine St., Bellingham, passed away October 1, 1992 at 923 Racine, Bellingham. She was born September 14, 1908 at South Prairie, WA to Alfred August and Sophie Louise Tromer. She attended schools in Carbonado and Olympia, College of Puget Sound, Washington State College, and University of Washington. She married Albert E. Pancoast at Tacoma, WA on August 4, 1931. He passed away in 1945 at Bellingham. She later married Robert P. Layzell at Bellingham on May 29, 1952, who passed away in 1988. She was a life member of Raninier Chapter #61 of the Order of Eastern Star and along time member of the First Congregational Church of Bellingham. Survivors include her son Patrick Pancoast of Bellingham. Step-sons Richard Layzell and wife Tanis of Vancouver, B.C., and Thomas Layzell of Montana; her brother, Edward Tromer and wife Susan of Clearwater, Florida; nieces Joy Van Buskirk and husband Jack of Tacoma and Barbara Knesel and husband Lloyd of Eatonville; grandchildren, Scott Pancoast and wife Felicia of Everett, Michael Pancoast and wife Julie of Mobile, Alabama, and Andrea and Jay Layzell of Vancouver, B.C.; and great-grandchildren Patrick Anthony and Kristen Pancoast of Mobile, Alabama and James Pancoast of Everett. LAYZELL, Robert P., age 75 of 1320 Lakeway, passed away Tues., Sept. 20, 1988. Mr. Layzell had resided in B'ham since 1951 & was a retired insurance agent. He was a member of B'ham Golf & Country Club, life member of the Elks Lodge 194 & a 1934 Dartmouth College graduate. He had years of loyalty to his general insurance clients. Survived by his wife, Charlotte of the home; 2 sons, Dick of Vancouver & Tom of Montana; stepson, Pat Pancoast of city; 2 grandchildren, Jay & Andrea Layzell of Vancouver; 2 step-grandsons, Scott & Mike Pancoast. LAZARIVICH, John, age 77 years, of 906 Twelfth Street, passed away at a local hospital, Tuesday, July 31, (1945) after a brief illness. Mr. Lazarivich had been a resident of Bellingham for the past thirty years. Funeral services will be held at the Bingham-Dahlquist Funeral Home, Saturday, August 4, at 9 a.m., conducted by Rev. James M. Wilson. Interment in Bay View Cemetery.
LAZNICA, Albina Marie, age 85, formerly of 2616 Eldridge Avenue, passed away in an Issaquah Nursing Home Sunday, April 25, (1965). Mrs. Laznica was a sixty-three year resident of this city before moving to Issaquah, and was preceded in death by her late husband Ludvig in 1947. She was a member of Sehome Chapter No. 17, O.E.S. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Vera L. Love, Piedmont, Calif.; and Mrs. Isabelle Eingran, Seattle, two grandsons, Ralph E. Love, and Colin L. Love, both residing in California. Private services will be conducted by Pastor Kenneth E. Daugs Wednesday, April 28 at 1 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home followed by cremation.
LAZNICKA, Ludwig, age 67 years, of 1116 Jersey Street, passed away suddenly Sunday morning, July 13, (1947) at a local hospital, following a short illness. Mr. Laznicka was a well-known tailor, having operated his own tailoring establishment for the past forty-five years in this city. He was a member of the Bellingham Bay Lodge, No. 44, F. & A.M., Bellingham Bay Chapter No. 12, R. A. M., and Sehome Chapter No. 17, O.E.S. Surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs. Albina M. Laznicka, two daughters, Mrs. Vera Love, of Piedmont, Calif., and Miss Isabelle Laznicka, of Seattle; two grandsons, Ralph Jr. and Colin Love, both of Piedmont, Calif., and one sister, Mrs. Marie Sarovee in Vienna, Austria. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, July 15, at 2 p.m, within the Cathedral Chapel of the Westford-Beck Funeral Home with Rev. James M. Wilson officiating, followed by the ritualistic services of Bellingham Bay Lodge No. 44, F. & A.M. Active pallbearers, member of Bellingham Bay Lodge No. 44, F. & A.M. Entombments was made in Bay View Abbey. Active pallbearers, members of Bellingham Bay Chapter No. 12, R. A. LAZAREFF, William, age 93, of Bellingham passed away Wed., Mar. 17, 2004, in Bellingham. He was born Mar. 15, 1911, in Brilliant, B.C., Canada to William & Mary (Plotnikoff) Lazareff. Bill grew up in Trail, B.C. beside the Columbia River and attended schools there. Moved to Rossland, B.C. where he was a lifetime member of the Eagles Lodge and owned and operated a building supply business. His interests included photography, music, was a master gardener and a member of the Ferndale Senior Center where he enjoyed playing bridge. Bill was blessed with a sense of humor, a joke or a song for every occasion. He married Iva Monroe on Oct. 7, 1976 in Reno, Nevada. Survived by his wife Iva at the family home; son Barry William Lazareff of Coquitlam, B.C.; daughter-in-law Brenda Lazareff of Williams Lake, B.C., step-daughter Arlene & husband Jim Mortimer of Bellingham; granddaughter Rachelle & husband Dan Mullen of Williams Lake, B.C.; grandson Jason Lazareff of Williams Lake, B.C.; great-grandchildren Tyler and Amanda; step-grandchildren Brian & wife Debbie Haney and Mark & wife Melissa Haney; step-great-grandchildren Lindsay, Christopher and Nigel and several nieces.
