HENDERSHOT, Annie C., age 92 years, of Bellingham, passed away in a local hospital Sunday, Dec. 19, (1954) following a lingering illness. Mrs. Hendershot had been a resident of Bellingham for the past 50 years and leaves to survive two nieces, Mrs. Mildred Sparks, of Bellingham and Mrs. George Warner of Maple Falls. The Rev Oscar A. Jacobson, pastor of the Central Lutheran Church will officiate at funeral services Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 2 p.m. within the Chapel of the Bingham-Dahlquist & Jerns Funeral Home. Interment Bay View Cemetery.

HENDERSHOT, Doris Mae, of Seattle, a former Whatcom County resident, died Sunday, (June 9, 1985) in a Seattle hospital at the age of 66. She came to Whatcom County from South Dakota as a child. Her parents lived on Van Wyck Road. She has lived in Seattle for more than 30 years. Survivors include her husband, Stanley; a daughter; a son; her mother, Delia Jorgenson of Bellingham; three sisters, including Flora Ridenhour of Bellingham; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home, Seattle, with burial to follow in Evergreen-Washelli Cemetery.

HENDERSHOTT, Michael, age 89 years, 207 Twenty-first Street, passed away Thursday, April 29, (1948) after a lingering illness. Mr. Hendershott had been a resident of Bellingham for the past forty years and was formerly a gardener at the W.W.C. of E., when it was known as the Normal. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Annie Hendershott, also nieces and nephews in Michigan. Funeral services will be held at the Bingham-Dahlquist & Jerns Funeral Home, Monday, May 3, at 2 p.m. with Rev. James Martyn Wilson, officiating. Cremation.

HENDERSON, Anna Margaret, age 89 of Route 1, Custer passed away in a local hospital Sunday, March 27, (1960) following an extended illness. Mrs. Henderson had been a resident of Whatcom County the past 12 years. She leaves to survive 2 (sic) daughters, Mrs. Ada Green of Sydney, B.C., Mrs. Hotchkiss of Los Angeles, Mrs. Maude Steward of Liberal, Kansas; one brother, Wesley Edwards of Meade, Kansas; 12 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 30 at 1:30 p.m. in Moles Monroe Chapel, Pastor E. E. Wellman and Elder C. O. Smith officiating. Final resting place Enterprise.

HENDERSON, Ben A. - A memorial service for Ben A. Henderson will begin 3 p.m. Wednesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with the Rev. James Stender officiating. A gathering for friends and family will follow at the church. Mr. Henderson died Friday, Nov. 28, 1997, in Bellingham. He was 79. Born Dec. 17, 1917, to Darie and Jessie Norine Henderson in Grand Junction, Colo., he lived in Bellingham for 44 years. A captain in Air Force Intelligence during World War II, he was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the Whatcom Museum of History and Art board. He also was past president of Bellingham Kiwanis Club and was active with United Way and the Salvation Army. Survivors include son Mark Henderson of Olympia, daughter Melinda A. Henderson of Bellingham, brother Richard Henderson of Denver and one grandson. Arrangements are by Jones-Moles Funeral Home.

HENDERSON, Bertha L., age 67, of Lopez Island, passed away in a local hospital Thursday, April 26, (1956). Mrs. Henderson had been a resident of the community for the past 12 years and was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving relatives are her husband, William P. at home; one daughter, Mrs. Frances Ione McBarron of Grants Pass, Ore.; two sons, Major William P. Henderson Jr., of McChord Field, Wash., and Clarence Conway Henderson of Cheyenne, Wyo.; also 10 grandchildren. Private services were conducted at Jones' Harlow-Hollingsworth Funeral Home Friday, April 27, by the Rev. Clarence J. Forsberg, at 3 p.m. Final resting place, Lopez Island Cemetery.

HENDERSON, Birdie, age 37, of 1411 I Street, passed away in a local hospital Sunday, June 16, (1946). Mrs. Henderson had been a resident of this community for the past 27 years and was a member of the First Baptist church. Surviving relatives are two daughter, June and Marlene Hissong, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Monson, of Bellingham, and Mrs. Inez Schupp of Tacoma, and the mother, Mrs. Ida Brown, of Bellingham. The remains are at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where services will be conducted by Rev. W. Carl Calhoun, Wednesday, June 19, at 1:30 p.m. Final resting place, Woodlawn Cemetery.

HENDERSON, Charles, aged 80 years, passed away at a local hospital Sunday, September 6, (1942) following a brief illness. Mr. Henderson had lived in Bellingham for the past forty-nine years, a retired traffic agent for the P.N.W. Traction Company, and a member of Bellingham Bay Lodge No. 44, F. & A.M. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Maud Edens Henderson; one daughter, Mrs. H. Humphrey Griggs and one grandson, Peter Humphrey; also one sister, Mrs. Matilda Heasley and one nephew, Jim Matchett, both of Seattle, Washington. His remains rest at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where private funeral services will be conducted by Rev. James M. HENDERSON, Charles Arlo, age 34 years, 1411 J Street, passed away Wednesday, July 25, (1945). Mr. Henderson had resided here the past eleven years and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 31. Surviving relatives are the widow, Birdie, at home; four brothers, John and Dave Cress, Bellingham; Frank, of Denver, and George, Silver Cliff, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Hugg, Siver Cliff, Colo.; Mrs. Will Collins, Bellingham, and Mrs. Thomas Sawyer, Seattle; two step-daughters, June and Merlyn Hissons (sic), of this city. HENDERSON, Charles W., age 71, of 2833 Victor Street, passed away in a local hospital, Wednesday, December 3, (1947). Mr. Henderson had been a resident of this community for the past forty-five years and was a retired farmer. Deceased was a charter member of the First Lutheran Church and leaves to survive four daughters, Mrs. Edna Johnson and Mrs. Anna Stock of Bellingham, Mrs. Thelma Oliver, of Redwood City, Calif., and Mrs. Ella Hillard, of Route 2, Everson; two sons, Henry, of Boyes Springs, Calif., and Edward, of Route 2, Everson; fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The remains are at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where services will be conducted by the Rev. G. W. Henry, Friday, December 5, at 3 p.m. Final resting place, Bay View.

HENDERSON, David, age 59, passed away at Northern State Hospital, Monday, November 14, (1949) following a long illness. Prior to 1917 he had been a resident of Ferndale. Funeral services will be held in the Monroe Mortuary in Ferndale, Wednesday, November 16, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. George Baird officiating. Interment in Enterprise Cemetery.

HENDERSON, Dorothy Margaret - Everett resident Dorothy Margaret Henderson, 66, died Friday, Aug. 21, 1992, in Blaine. Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. today and from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Greenacres Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel. She was born Oct. 8, 1925, in Lemon, N.D., to James and Goldie Huff McKeever. She married Alburn Henderson in 1972 in Seattle. Mrs. Henderson lived in Everett for 25 years and was a member of the Lynnwood Assembly of God Church. She recently moved to Blaine and was a member of the Blaine Senior Center. She also enjoyed knitting. Survivors include daughter, Angie Bracero, of Edmonds, and Karen Miller of Blaine; son Ron Chin of Shelton; sisters Helen Ziegler of Lansing, Kan., and Anna Munson and Lois Hendersen, both of Wichita, Kan.; and seven granddaughters.

HENDERSON, Edith E., age 85 of 2820 Azalea Place, Bellingham, died Monday April 12, 1982. She was a hotel manager, managing the Henderson Motel for many years; was a member of the Birchwood Presbyterian Church and founder and charter member of the Birchwood Garden Club; was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary; and with her late husband, Manford, was a past member of the Cattlemen's Association. Surviving are 2 sons, Sherman of Bellevue; Jack of Seattle; 2 sisters, Antonette Rothbone of Bellingham; Lottie Reed of Bellingham; 5 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 14, 1982 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Veroske, Jerns & LeVeck with Rev. Tim Lann officiating.

HENDERSON, Edward "Pete" 79, of Everson died Sunday, Feb. 27, 1994 in Ferndale. He was born June 18, 1914 in Bellingham to Charles and Anna (Johnson) Henderson. He married his wife Jeanette in 1949. Henderson was a lifetime resident of Whatcom County. He had been a farmer and also drove trucks for Builders Concrete. He worked with 4-H clubs, was a commissioner of Whatcom County Fire District No. 1 and was a member of Teamsters Local No. 231 and Bellingham Elks Lodge No. 194. He is survived by his wife Jeanette; step-son Richard and wife Jayne Vaughn of Bellingham; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will start at 1 p.m. today at Greenacres Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Karen Dodson officiating. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the care of Greenacres Funeral Home.

HENDERSON, Ella M., age 78 years, passed away at her daughter's home, 2231 Walnut Street, Friday, Oct. 26, (1945). Mrs. Henderson had lived in Bellingham for thirty-seven years. Her survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Alice Taylor, Bellingham; one son, Robert L. Miller, Mount Vernon, Wash.; two grandsons, Lt. Max Mill, U.S. Navy, and Clifford Miller, Seattle; three great-grandchildren, and many relatives in the East. The remains rest at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth, where services were conducted Monday, Oct. 29 at 3 p.m., with Rev. James M. Wilson officiating. Final resting place, Bay View cemetery.

HENDERSON, Elvia - Private services for Mrs. Elvia Henderson, 1251 Verona St., will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Jones Funeral Home. Cremation will follow. She died suddenly Thursday (Dec. 20, 1973). Mrs. Henderson was a 30-year resident, and a teacher at the Bellingham Technical School before retiring. She is survived by the husband Russell; a daughter, Mrs. Donna Tempest and two grandchildren; all of Anchorage, brothers C. V. Johnston of Everett, Jerry Johnston of Marysville and Otis Johnston in Georgia.

HENDERSON, Fanny, age 88 of Custer, passed away Saturday, January 25, (1964) at the Icelandic Old Folks' Home in Blaine after an extended illness. Mrs. Henderson was born in Sweden and came to this county with her family at the age of 10 to make their first home in Minnesota. In 1910 she moved to Seattle and very shortly after to the Custer area. Surviving is a niece, Mrs. Marion Coates Webster of New York City, New York. Funeral services are pending at the Gillies Funeral Home.

HENDERSON, Florien G., age 81 of 505 West Bakerview No. 61, passed away Sat. Oct. 29, (1977). Mr. Henderson came to Whatcom County from Calif. in 1968 and was a member of the Salvation Army, he was also a World War I veteran. He is survived by his wife, Edith May; 6 sons, Thomas and David both of Bellingham, James of Troutdale, Ore., William of Union Grove, Ala., Roger of Birmingham, Ala. and Philip of Oakland, Calif.; 3 daughters, Florence Allenwood and Pauline Poplowiski both of Bellingham and Judie Henderson of Oakland, Calif.; a step son John Webb of San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Myrtis Lageson of Milwaukie, Ore.; 20 grandchildren. 15 great grandchildren. 2 step children and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thurs., Nov. 3, 1:30 p.m. at Moles Funeral Chapel. Major John Rocheleau officiating. Interment will follow at Greenacres Memorial Park.

HENDERSON, Floyd Victor, age 55, of 5669 Lawrence Road, Everson, died Friday (Dec. 15, 1972) while driving a Milky Way tanker near Ferndale. The truck was damaged slightly. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday in the Gillies Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Louis Yost officiating. Interment followed in Van Zandt Cemetery. Born December 8, 1917 in Washington, Mr. Henderson was a World War II veteran, a member of Teamster Local No. 231 and Rome Community Bible Church. He was employed as a driver for Darigold and Milky Way. Survivors include his wife, Louise; two sons, Daniel V. of Ferndale and David L. of Clipper; one daughter, Birdie J. of Billings, Montana; his mother, Mrs. Georgie Henderson of Everson; three brothers, Wilbur of Everett, Bert and Frank, both of Everson; three sisters, Mrs. Elaine Silves of Everson, Mrs. Blanche Hansen of Bellingham and Mrs. Kannon Richards of Denver, Colorado; numerous nieces and nephews.

HENDERSON, George E., age 81, of 1400 12th, passed away Friday Dec. 21, (1984). Mr. Henderson was a retired railroad man. Services were held Mon. Dec. 24 under the direction of the Westford Funeral Home.

HENDERSON, George G. - Visitation for George G. "Bert" Henderson of 6155 Everson-Goshen Road, will be from noon to 1:45 p.m. Thursday in Greenacres Funeral Home, Northwest and Axton roads. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Greenacres Memorial Park. The Rev. Lowell Bakke will officiate. A memorial service of celebration will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Nooksack Valley Baptist Church, Everson. Mr. Henderson, 72, died Monday, June 1, 1992, at his home. He was born Sept. 17, 1919, in Goshen to James Arthur and Georgia Palmer Henderson and was a life-long resident of Whatcom County. On July 3, 1941, he married Genevive Dunlap in Nooksack Advent Christian Campground. She survives him at the family home. Mr. Henderson served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star. He formerly worked for Curtiss Breeding Service and was co-owner of Bellingham Hardware store. For many years he and his wife owned and operated the Yule Time Christmas Tree Ranch. Mr. Henderson also served as health director at the Bellingham YMCA. Other survivors include his daughter Lori Olson of Everson; daughter Diana Bakke of Puyallup; son Kevin Henderson of Everson; sisters Elaine Silves of Everson, Blanche Hansen of Bellingham and Marjory Richards of Billings, Mont; brothers Wilbur Henderson of Everett and Frank Henderson of Everson; six grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. HENDERSON, George H., age 77, of 601 1/2 W. Holly, passed away in a local hospital, Wednesday, February 15, (1950) following a short illness. Mr. Henderson was a retired blacksmith and had been a resident of this community and Lummi Island for the past 56 years. Surviving relatives include a sister, Mrs. Mary Frazier, of Edinburg, Scotland. Funeral services were conducted Friday, February 17, at 11 a.m. within the Cathedral Chapel of the Westford-Beck Funeral Home with Rev. E. S. Hansen, pastor of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church, officiating. Cremation.

HENDERSON, George Russel - A family graveside service for George (Russ) Russel Henderson of Bellingham will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greenacres Memorial Park in Ferndale, with the Rev. Peter L. Rhea officiating. Mr. Henderson died of colon cancer Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999, at his home. He was 81. Born Feb. 10, 1918, in Winnipeg, Canada, he had been a local resident for 77 years and was a Whatcom High School graduate. Mr. Henderson served in the U.S. Army's 419 Signal Corps in the South Pacific from 1942 to 1945. On April 14, 1979, he married S. Jean Ross at Unity Church in Bellingham. Mr. Henderson worked as an assistant vice-president and general manager for the Bellingham branch of Seafirst Bank until his retirement in 1981. Mr. Henderson was a member of Bellingham Kiwanis and March of Dimes. His hobbies included golf and gardening. Survivors include his wife, of the family home; brother Howard L. Henderson of Bellingham; and one niece. Arrangements are by Greenacres Funeral Home of Ferndale.

HENDERSON, Georgia P. - Funeral services for Mrs. Georgia P. Henderson, age 85, who died on Monday, August 11, (1980) will be conducted on Thursday, August 14, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Gillies Funeral Home with Rev. Wilfred Gunderson officiating. Burial will follow in Ten Mile Cemetery. Born in Minnesota, Mrs. Henderson had been a Whatcom County resident for more than seventy five years. She was a member of what is now the Goshen Community Church and had been employed by Kale Canning Company for many years prior to her retirement. She was also a member of the Cannery Workers division of Teamsters Union Local No. 231. She is survived by three sons, George (Bert) of Everson, Wilbur of Everett and Frank also of Everson; three daughter, Mrs. Blanche (Harry) Hansen of Bellingham, Mrs. Elaine (Jordan) Silves of Everson and Mrs. Marjorie (Kannon) Richards of Billings, Montana; twenty-six grand, forty-four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; a niece, Mrs. Claudia (Art) Larson of Wenatchee; a nephew, Alvin Peterson of Aberdeen. She was preceded by her husband, James in 1969 and a son Floyd in 1972.

HENDERSON, Hilda M., 76 of Custer, Route 1 died Wednesday March 8, (1978) in Bellingham. She was a lifetime resident of the area and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nels Henderson, early pioneers. She was a member of the Custer United Methodist Church. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Emma Bostwick, Custer, and four nieces, Evelyn Bostwick of Custer, Geraldine Coons of Concrete, Dorothy Hickok of Seattle and Burnah VandeGeest of Camano Island. At her request no funeral services were conducted. Cremation was held under the direction of Veroske's Bellingham Chapel.

HENDERSON, Hosea, age 67 years, of 1709 1/2 State Street, passed away at a local hospital, Sunday, June 17, (1945) following a lingering illness. Mr. Henderson had been a resident of this community for the past 55 years, and was formerly a member of the B.P.O. Elks No. 194. Immediate surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs. Margaret Henderson; two sisters, Mrs. C. L. Maple and Mrs. Estelle M. Wood, of Portland, Oregon; a niece, Mrs. Martin Christensen, of Olympia; many other nieces and nephews. HENDERSON, James Arthur, age 71 of Everson Route 1 passed away in a local hospital Friday, January 3, (1958) following a short illness. He resided in the Everson Goshen District since 1912. He is survived by his wife Georgie Pearl, 3 daughters, Elaine Silves, of Everson Rt. 1, Blanche Hanson, Bellingham, Floyd of Van Zandt, Bert and Frank, both of Everson, Route 1. Twenty-one grandchildren, one great grandchild, two sisters, Mabel Hoskins and Birdie Tucker, both of Stockton, California. HENDERSON, Janice Fernon, age 17, of Route 1, Everson, passed away in a Seattle hospital Saturday, Oct. 27, (1962) following a short illness. A lifetime resident of Whatcom County she was graduated from Mt. Baker High School in June of this year, and was attending Western Washington State College. She was a member of the Advent Christian Church of Nooksack; the Youth Fellowship Club of the church, The Four H Club and the F.H.A. Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Bert Henderson of Route 1, Everson, two sisters, Diana and Lori both at home, paternal grandmother, Mrs. J. A. Henderson of Everson, maternal grandparents Ben Dunlap of Nooksack and Zella Dunlap of Seattle, also numerous aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held in the Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden, Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 2 p.m. Rev. Norval Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park.

HENDERSON, Jean Robertson, age 85, of 311 E. Sunset Dr., passed away Thurs., Sept. 29, (1977). A resident of this community for the past 56 years, Mrs. Henderson attended Immanuel Bible Church, was a life member of the Order of Eastern Star and a retired knitting instructress at Horn-Witson Department Store. Surviving 2 daughters, Mrs. Margaret Nelson, city and Mrs. Maybelle Moncrief of Port Angeles; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. HENDERSON, John Henry, age 83 years, of route 1, Custer, passed away Tuesday, December 18, (1945) following a brief illness. Mr. Henderson was born in Sweden and had resided in Whatcom County 57 years. Surviving are the widow, Fannie; a brother, Ollie, of Chicago; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Hagen, of Seattle, Mrs. Annie Swanson, of Brinnon, Wash., and Mrs. Johanna Larson, of Route 1, Custer. HENDERSON, Jules O., age 16 years, of Route 2, Everson, passed away Thursday, July 3, at a local hospital, as a result of an automobile accident. Jules had spent his entire lifetime in this community and was a member of the Emmanual (sic) Lutheran Church of Lawrence, the F.F.A. and the 4-H Club, and was a junior in the Mount Baker High School. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. William Fullner; one brother, Robert, at home; three sisters, Mrs. Alma Knope, of Sedro Woolley; Lila Lee and Anna Louis Henderson, both at home; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. De Visschef, of Everson; many uncles, aunts and relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 7th, at 1:30 p.m. within the Cathedral Chapel of the Westford-Beck Funeral Home with the Rev. Judson L. Crary, pastor of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, of Lawrence, officiating. Interment will follow in the Lawrence Free Lutheran Cemetery.

HENDERSON, Lillian Pierson, born Feb. 11, 1919 in Bellingham, Wash., passed away Dec. 11, 1998, Los Altos Hills, Calif. Beloved wife of Clarence C. Henderson, loving mother of Lynnea Libby, Oroville, Cal., Jeanne Henderson, Bellingham, Connie Ann Bernard, Cotter, Arkansas, Patricia Henderson of Sacramento, Cal. and Bert Henderson of Sunnyvale, Cal. Sister of Evelyn Arrigoni of Seattle and Kenneth Pierson of Bellingham. Adoring grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 2. Lillian had many fond memories of growing up in Bellingham and maintained childhood friendships throughout her life. After graduating from the University of Washington in nursing, Lillian continued her nursing career until retirement from Stanford University Hospital. She had a wide variety of interests, astute business woman, avid gardener, expert seamstress and voracious reader. There will be a graveside memorial at Greenacres Cemetery, Ferndale, Friday, July 2, 11 a.m. where her ashes together with her beloved husband's will be interred.

HENDERSON, Marian F., of Bellingham died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 1994, at her home. She was 72. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church with the Rev. James Stender officiating. Born July 29, 1922, to Clarence and Lillian William Bliesner in Lawrence, Kan., she lived in Whatcom County for 41 years. HENDERSON, Maude E., age 84, 3025 Eldridge Ave., passed away Monday, February 7, (1966). Mrs. Henderson was a member of two pioneer Northwest families, and was the widow of the late C. W. HENDERSON, Paul M., age 64, of Lynden, passed away in Bellingham Tuesday, February 13, (1951) following a lingering illness. Mr. Henderson formerly operated a jewelry store in Lynden. HENDERSON, Polaire D. - A graveside inurnment service for Polaire D. Henderson of Birch Bay will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Greenacres Memorial Park with the Rev. Dennis Wildermuth officiating. Mrs. Henderson died at home Saturday, June 6, 1998. She was 58. Born March 11, 1940 to Frederick and Irene Kingsley Keith in Trail, B.C., she graduated from Trail Business College. She married Lewis Henderson Sept. 3, 1960, in Trail. She was a kitchen worker in the Blaine School District and worked as a bookkeeper and in retail sales. HENDERSON, Ralph E. - Former Bellingham resident Ralph E. Henderson of Seattle died Saturday, June 19, 1993. He was 79. At his request, no services will be held. Born July 11, 1913 in Oklahoma City, he graduated from high school in Neodosha, Kan., and attended college in Kansas. He moved to Bellingham in 1939 and later moved to Seattle, where he owned Henderson Realty Co. in the Crown Hill district from 1946 until his retirement in 1978. He was a founding member and past president of North End Brokers Association, past president of the Seattle/King County Board of Realtors and was treasurer of the Washington Association of Realtors. He was a past master of Ionic Lodge No. 90, F&AM, a member of the Scottish Rite and the Nile Temple, where he was an active member of Fun on Wheels. He also was associated guardian of Bethel No. 6, Order of Job's Daughters. He is survived by his wife, June, of the family home; son Terrill; daughter Lynn; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

HENDERSON, Sherwood F. - A memorial gathering for Sherwood "Woody" Ford Henderson, a Bellingham native, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Seattle. Mr. Henderson died Wednesday, Jan 19, 2000, in Seattle. He was 75. Born Nov 30, 1924 to Manfred and Edith Henderson in Bellingham, he resided in Bellevue for 44 years. A graduate of Washington State University, he received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and later worked at Boeing for 35 years. Mr. Henderson was an Air Force navigator, 1st lieutenant during World War II and served in the Air Force Reserves. He enjoyed spending time with family on their farm and at their summer home. His hobbies included gardening and do-it-yourself projects. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Henderson. She died June 1999. His survivors include his daughter Lynn; son Tom; brother Jack; and three grandchildren. Arrangements are by Bleitz Funeral Home in Seattle.

HENDRICKS, Annie C., age 88 of 200 N. 8th St., Lynden, passed away suddenly Friday, July 22, 1983. Born in Hull, North Dakota (March 16, 1895), Mrs. Hendricks had been a County resident for the past 72 years. She was a member of the Third Christian Reformed Church in Lynden and was married to her husband Ben in Lynden Feb. 18, 1919. Mr. Hendricks died in 1965. HENDRICKS, Diana M., age 59, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2006. She was born on July 11, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Rollis and Lazola (Jenkins) Jones. She married Gary Hendricks on June 21, 1965. Diana was a loving mother and grandmother who loved doing ceramics and gardening. She enjoyed crocheting, doing crafts and traveling with her friends. Some of her favorite times though, were those she spent babysitting her grandchildren. Diana was an active member of the LDS Church, the Whatcom County Cattleman's, and the GFWC Women's Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rollis and Lazona; and her brother, Frank Jones. Diana is survived by her husband, Gary; son Roger Hendricks and wife Jodie; daughter Donna Lynn Sundseth and husband Marlo; grandchildren Bradley Sundseth, Dalton Olson, Joshua Sundseth, Zackary Hendricks, and Alyssa Hendricks; brothers and sister-in-laws, Gene and Sonia Smith and Wayne and Gerildean Jones; sister and brother-in-law, Ramona and Russell Sandbo; special friend Olivia Cuellar and her husband Vic; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. HENDRICKS, George, age 87, of Custer, passed away Sat., Feb. 22, 2003, in Lynden. He was born Jan. 8, 1916, in Custer to Dutch immigrant parents, Remmelt and Tryntje (Zylstra) Hendricks and had been a lifetime Whatcom County resident. He married Margaret Bovenkamp on Jan. 10, 1940, in Lynden. George truly loved nature and the outdoors. It played a major role in his life. He spent many years as a strawberry grower in Custer. He later worked caring for the Alaska Packer property at Semiahmoo. Outdoors was where George was happiest, either being out in the woods cutting firewood and observing critters, or spending time fishing at the river. George had a unique gift of witching for water that he always shared with others. He felt God had enabled him to help people find the location and even the depth of a well! He never wanted to be in the spotlight so few people were lucky enough to enjoy his great abilities on the accordion. Later in his life he so enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the little ones. George was a steady presence for those around him, and always welcomed people with a cup of coffee and lots of conversation. He will truly be missed by all his family, friends and neighbors. Survived by his wife, Margaret at the Christian Health Care Center daughters, Trudi (Bun) Norquist of Custer, Karen Williams of Seattle, Marj Hendricks of Custer seven grandchildren 14 great-grandchildren brothers-in-law, Peter (Kathryn) Bovenkamp of Lynden, Jake Bovenkamp of Lynden, Anthony (Garetta) Bovenkamp of Lynden sister-in-law, Nellie (Peter) Zylstra of Monroe and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. HENDRICKS, John Ellis of 2909 Cody Ave. died Thursday, Jan. 27, 1994. He was 74. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Lawrence Pollock officiating. Mr. Hendricks was born May 31, 1919, in Waterville to Walter and Bessie Hendricks. He was in the Civilian Conservation Corps and then worked for the U.S. Forest Service. He also served in the U.S. Army Mountain Patrol testing equipment and endurance, worked for Foss Tug and Barge Co. and Carl Aker's Taxidermy, and was a teacher and carver of Northwest Indian art. He married Verna Eileen Noice on June 13, 1942, in Bellingham. Survivors include his wife of Bellingham; sons David Hendricks of Bellingham and James Hendricks of Lacey; daughter Bessie (Beth) Ayars of Bellingham; sister Mary Olson of Bellingham; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two nieces. HENDRICKS, Margaret Nellie, age 88, of Custer, went to be with her Lord on Memorial Day, May 26, 2003. A lifetime Whatcom County resident, she was born to Dutch immigrant parents, Lambertus and Gertrude Bovenkamp on July 10, 1914. She married George Hendricks on Jan. 10, 1940 in Lynden. Margaret was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She truly had a heart for others, as was obvious by how she graciously gave to everyone she met. It might be a smile, a kind word of encouragement, freshly baked rolls and cookies, or a handmade quilt. She loved being part of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Lighthouse Mission, and served for many years in various capacities at Sunrise Baptist Church. Her warmth and generosity will be greatly missed by all who knew her. As a tribute to the legacy Margaret leaves behind, the family requests that those who were blessed with a quilt from Margaret bring the quilt along to her memorial service as a visual display to help us celebrate a life well-lived! Jones of Eugene, Ore.; two brothers, Jack and Frank Gerber, both city, and many nephews and nieces and other relatives. Rosary was said Tuesday, January 2, at 7:30 p.m., within the Cathedral Chapel of the Westford-Beck Funeral Home. Requiem mass was celebrated Wednesday, December 3, at 9:30 a.m. within the Church of the Assumption, with the Rev. Father John Horn officiating. Interment in Greenacres Memorial Park.

HENDRICKS, Ray J., age 83 years, of Rt. 1 Alderwood Manor, passed away in Everett, Monday, Jan. 10, (1955) following a short illness. Mr. Hendricks came to the Lynden district in 1910 where he farmed until his retirement in 1937. He moved to Alderwood Manor five months ago. HENDRICKSEN, Bertel, age 88, of 1015 Indian Street, passed away in a local hospital Saturday, December 22, (1951). Mr. Hendricksen was a member of the Lutheran Church and had resided here for the past 60 years and was a retired logger. HENDRICKSON, Anna C., age 78, who resided at 2013 C St., passed away at her residence on Wednesday, Jan. 2, (1963) following a lingering illness. Mrs. Hendrickson resided in Bellingham for the past 57 years and was a member of the Lutheran Church. She leaves to survive two sons, Alfred Hendrickson of Bellingham and Carl Hendrickson of Yakima; her daughter, Mrs. Ethel Baker of Juneau, Alaska; one sister, Mrs. Agnes Ericsson of Bellingham; her brother, Knut Nyquist in Sweden; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Rev. Evald E. Olsenius will conducted Funeral services on Monday, Jan. 7, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Bingham & Jerns Funeral Home, followed by cremation.

HENDRICKSON, Carl N., age 77, of 3025 Walnut Street, passed away in a local hospital, Monday, April 3, (1950). Mr. Hendrickson had been a resident of this community for the past 43 years and was a retired jeweler. Deceased had attended the Garden Street Methodist Church and leaves to survive his widow, Amanda M. at home; one son, Howard W., of Seattle; three daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Wright, of Bellingham, Mrs. Florence Leen, of Vacaville, Calif., and Miss Lillian Hendrickson, of Bremerton; four grandsons, and two brothers Severyn, of Alberta, Canada, and Theodore, of Sumas. HENDRICKSON, Caroline - Mrs. John Hendrickson, well-known Evergreen district resident, who was born in Norway eighty-five years ago, passed away Sunday evening, November 25, (1945). Surviving are the husband and a daughter, Mrs. Julia Moe, of Anacortes. HENDRICKSON, Dedrick A., age 86 years, who resided at 1937 Iron St., passed away in a local hospital Saturday, July 2nd, (1955) following a lingering illness. Mr. Hendrickson was a pioneer of Whatcom County having resided in this vicinity for the past 55 years, and was a member of the Lutheran Church in Norway. HENDRICKSON, Frances G., 74, 5280 Northwest Rd., died Monday, (May 12, 1986). She was born Sept. 27, 1911, in Wythville, Va. Surviving are three sons, including John R. Hendrickson, of Bellingham, Harvey J. Hendrickson of British Columbia, and Robert L. Hendrickson of Appleton, Wis.; a daughter, JoAnne Magness, of Maryland; 15 grandchildren; and a sister, Virginia O. Martinsen, of Bellingham. A daughter, Virginia Evelyn Hendrickson, died earlier. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Greenacres Memorial Park. Visitation hours will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, at Jones Funeral Home.

HENDRICKSON, Gilbert C., age 63, of Orting, Wash., passed away in a local hospital Thursday, July 17, (1958). Mr. Hendrickson resided in Bellingham for 40 years prior to his going to Orting in 1953. He was a member of the Lutheran Church and of the Bellingham Chapter No. 19, R.A.V. HENDRICKSON, Helen M., age 87, passed away May 6, 2005, in Bellingham. She was a graduate of St. Lukes School of Nursing and served in WWII and retired from St. Joseph Hospital after many years. Helen loved her summer home on Lopez Island, her dogs, fishing, clamming and every form of seafood. She also enjoyed her home on Northshore at Lake Whatcom. She had a variety of flowers and plants that bloomed all summer long. In years passed she was also a great bingo player. Helen is survived by her son Marc and his wife, Val; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Erica, Eric; sister-in-law, Masako Olson and also her close nephews and nieces. A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. at Enterprise Cemetery in Ferndale with Rev. Glenn Newton officiating. HENDRICKSON, Henry Conroy, age 64, Rt. No. 2, Ferndale, passed away at his home Wednesday, December 18, (1963). He had been a resident of Ferndale for the past 55 years. HENDRICKSON, John Edwin - A graveside service for John Edwin Hendrickson of San Clemente, Calif., will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Enterprise Cemetery with the Rev. Lawrence Guderian officiating. Mr. Hendrickson died Friday, Jan. 10, 1997, in Mission Community Hospital in Mission Viejo, Calif. He was 41. HENDRICKSON, Lorraine Maria, formerly of Bellingham, died of a heart attack Sunday, Sept. 15, 1996. She was 40. A private service will be held. Born Sept. 27, 1955 to Margaret and Don Hendrickson in Plainfield, NJ, she attended school there After moving to Washington in 1974, Ms. Hendrickson lived in Lynnwood and Bellingham. HENDRICKSON, Reed G., ATC, USN Ret., of Oak Harbor, WA died in Seattle on Dec. 6, 2004. He was born July 29, 1954 in Cheyenne, WY to Grant and Lylias Hendrickson. He graduated from Bellingham High School in 1972. Reed served in the U.S. Navy, retiring as a Chief. His military service included service in Vietnam and the Gulf War. Reed loved to cook, especially barbecuing, he also loved to fish and dance. Reed was an avid sports watcher and made sure to cheer for the M's and Seahawks. He was an active member of the American Legion and the NRA. His quick wit, sense of humor and selfless personality will be greatly missed. HENDRICKSON, Sigwold - World War II army veteran Sigwold Hendrickson, 79, of 409 York St., died Thursday (April 7, 1988) in Bellingham. Mr. Hendrickson, a retired logger, millworker and carpenter, was a member of Alaska Fisherman's Union. Survivors include two sons, Richard Hendrickson and Ronald Scrimscher of Bellingham; a brother, Earl Hendrickson of Portland, Ore.; and five grandchildren. HENDRICKSON, Theodore, age 74 years, of Sumas, passed away in a local hospital Thursday, April 3, (1958). He had resided in Sumas since 1907 and operated a jewelry store. He was a member of the Sumas Masonic Lodge. He leave to survive his wife Bertha; one sister-in-law and several nieces and nephews. HENDRIX, Dallas F. - Sedro Wooolley - Services for Dallas F. Hendrix, 37, will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday at Lemley Mortuary here with burial at Sedro Woolley Union Cemetery. Mr. Hendrix died Sept. 26, (1975) in Wenatchee of natural causes. Mr. Hendrix had been employed in logging and construction. HENDRY, Gilbert R. "Gib" age 80, of Bellingham, passed away Thursday Aug. 11, 1994 at St. Joseph Hospital. He is survived by his wife Maude; daughter-in-law Shirley Hendry; granddaughter, Heidi Hendry; grandson, John Hendry; and great grandson, Joseph Hendry. At his request no services will be held. HENDRY, Reginald John - A family service with burial of ashes will be held in British Columbia for Reginald John Hendry. Mr. Hendry, age 86, of 3615 McAlpine Road, passed away Monday, July 14, (1986) in Blaine. He was born May 8, 1900, in Liverpool, England, and had lived in Blaine for the last 5 1/2 years. He was a retired sports fisherman and he owned his own charter boat service. He was a lifetime member of the Eagles in Gig Harbor, and past commodore at the Totem Yacht Club. Survivors include one daughter, Audrey Beaman of Virginia, and one grandson, Ron Beaman of British Columbia. Arrangements by Jerns McKinney Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
