DAANE, Edward J., age 61 years, of 307 8th Street, Lynden, passed away suddenly at his home Friday, August 7, (1959). Mr. Daane had taught in the Lynden Public schools since 1941, prior to which he had taught and farmed in South Dakota. He was a past commander of the Mt. Baker Post No. 121, American Legion and was a member of the Faith Reformed Church. Surviving relatives include his wife, Irene and one nephew, Irwin J. LeCocq, both of Lynden. Funeral services will be conducted in the Faith Reformed Church Tuesday, August 11, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Vander Woude officiating. Burial will follow in the Monumenta Cemetery under the direction of the Gillies Funeral Home.

DAANE, Irene J., 93, of Lynden passed away at Christian Rest home in Lynden on Thursday, Sept. 16, 1993. A memorial funeral service was held on Monday at Faith Reformed Church in Lynden with Rev. Julius Brandt officiating. Burial preceded in Monumenta Cemetery in Lynden. Mrs. Daane was born in Ackley, Iowa on Sept. 30, 1899. Eventually they moved to Harrison, S.D., where she met and married Edward Daane. They both taught school in South Dakota and in Lynden, where they moved in 1941. Mr. Daane passed away in 1959. Irene continued her teaching career until retirement. She was a member of Faith Reformed Church in Lynden. Irene is survived by her nephew, Irwin LeCocq Jr. and his wife Francis of Bellingham; one great-nephew, Charles LeCocq of Bellingham; a great-niece Janice LeCocq, and many dear friends. Services and arrangements were under the care of Gillies Funeral Home of Lynden.

DACK, Don A., 75, of Blaine died Monday, April 25, 1994, at St. Joseph Hospital. A family graveside service will be held at Greenacres Memorial Park with military honors by American Legion Post No. 7 of Bellingham. Born July 14, 1918, to George and Edna Dack in Elmira, N.Y., he lived in Whatcom County for 67 years. Mr. Dack served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Machinist Union Local No. 239 and Albert J. Hamilton Post No. 7, American Legion. He married Ruth Clark on July 28, 1990, in Custer. Survivors include his wife of the family home; daughter Pat Schiller of Surrey, B.C., and Donna Hill of Marysville; son Danny Dack of Spokane; sister Dorothy Lybarger of Seattle; 14 grandchildren; and one niece.

DACK, Edna, age 86, formerly of Mt. Baker Apts., Bellingham, passed away Friday Dec. 20, (1974). A resident of Whatcom County for the past 48 years, Mrs. Dack was a member of the Salvation Army. Survivors include 1 son, Donald Dack of Bellingham; 2 daughters, Mrs. Dorothy R. Lybarger of Seattle and Mrs. Gladis G. Lopacki of Sedro Woolley; 1 grandchild and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Monday, Dec. 23 at 3 p.m. in Jones Funeral Home with Major John Rocheleau officiating. Interment followed in Greenacres Memorial Park.

DACK, George A., age 79, of 2701 Michigan Street, passed away in a local hospital Saturday, September 1, (1956). Mr. Dack had resided in this community for the past 31 years, was formerly the gardener at W.W.C.E. and was an honorary member of the "W" at the college. Surviving relatives include his widow, Edna May Dack at home; one son, Donald Dack of this city, two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Lybarger of Seattle and Mrs. Gladys Lopacki of Sedro Woolley; one grandson, Danny Dack of Bellingham; one granddaughter, Carol Lynn Lybarger of Seattle; one sister, Mrs. Rose Knighten of Roslyn, Wn. The remains rest at the Jones' Harlow-Hollingsworth Funeral Home where services will be conducted by Mr. Calvin Moore Tuesday, September 4 at 9 a.m. Final resting place Greenacres Memorial Park.

DAESENER, Albertina, age 85, 340 No. Forest Street, passed away Saturday, April 23, (1966). Mrs. Daesener was preceded in death by her husband, the late Henry C. Daesener. She was a sixty-one year resident of this City, was a member of St. James Presbyterian Church for many years, and was an interested worker for the Orthopedic. Survivors are a son, Henry J. Daesener, City; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Montag, City; Miss Wilma Daesener, at home; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted by Rev. Glenn C. Carlson Friday, April 29 at 10 a.m., at St. James Presbyterian Church under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home. Burial in Greenacres Memorial Park.

DAESENER, Dorothy Frost of Bellingham, Washington, died on Friday, December 30, 2005, in Mount Vernon, Washington. She was 96 years old. Dorothy was born at Wiser Lake on April 21, 1909 to Frank and Emma Frost. She grew up in Bellingham at the family home on Key Street. The oldest of four daughters, the "Frost girls" filled the nine-room house with many lasting memories. For years Dorothy shared many stories about her father's ties to Bloedel Donovan Lumber Mills. She became the museum's historical guide to Sehome Hill and Bloedel Donovan Lumber Mill. Dorothy attended schools in Bellingham and graduated from Whatcom High School in 1926. She continued on to the University of Washington where she received her degree in music and became an accomplished pianist. Her earlier work experiences included secretarial work for Sanitary Meat Co. and Bloedel Donovan Lumber Mills. In 1947, Dorothy married Henry John Daesener and became part of the Coca Cola Bottling Company. Committed to her family, she did not work until her husband died in 1972. At that time she went into the family owned Coca Cola business where she was active until her retirement at age eighty. Dorothy's outside interests included PEO chapter AB, Knitters, Garden Club, St. James' Presbyterian Church and her college sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta. Above all, Dorothy was a wife and mother, devoting her life to family. After Dorothy's retirement she spent a lot of time in Mount Vernon with her only daughter, Henrietta and family. She resided in Mount Vernon the past five years. Dorothy's husband Henry preceded her in death January 5, 1972, her mother Emma in 1970, father Frank in 1961 and sister Helen Berg in 2004. Dorothy is survived by one daughter, Henrietta Jane Moseley, and her husband Ray of Mount Vernon; one grandson, Raymond Joseph Moseley of Mount Vernon; two sisters, Katheryn King and Margaret (Mel) Walk, both of Olympia; sister-in-law Ruth Montag, Bellingham; cousin and close friend Grace Higgerson of Bellingham and 16 nieces and nephews. A Memorial service to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bellingham on Friday, January 6, 2006 at 2 p.m. Private Graveside services will be held for the family at Greenacres Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday at 1 p.m. under the direction of Kern Funeral Home of Mount Vernon.

DAESENER, Henry C., age 87, of 340 N. Forest, passed away at the family home, Saturday, November 22, (1952). Mr. Daesener had resided here for the last 69 years, was president of the Coca-Cola Bottling Co., in Bellingham and a life member of the Knights of Pythias and of the B.P.O. Elks lodge No. 194. Surviving relatives include the widow, Mrs. Albertina Daesener at home, one son, Henry J. Daesener of Bellingham; three daughters, Mrs. Fredricka Cameron of San Leandro, Calif., Mrs. Ruth Montag of Bellingham, and Miss Wilma Daesener at home, and 6 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. The remains rest at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth, where services will be conducted by the Rev. James M. Wilson, Tuesday, November 25, at 1:30 p.m. Final resting place, Greenacres Memorial Park.

DAESENER, Wilma L., age 65 who resided at 490 S. State Street, passed away in a local hospital February 18, 1981. She was a life long resident of Bellingham; associated with the Coca Cola Bottling Company; member of St. James Presbyterian Church; member of Eastern Star; a Supervisor with Rainbow Girls; and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Survived by a sister Ruth Montag of Bellingham; nephews Richard Montag of Bellingham; Donald Cameron and Robert Cameron in California; nieces Mary Montag, Frankfurt, Germany; Henrietta Moseley of Mt. Vernon; a cousin, August Von Bargen and a sister-in-law Dorothy Daesener of Bellingham. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 23, 1981 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Veroske, Jerns & LeVeck, Rev. Leonard Ericksen officiating. Interment Greenacres Cemetery. DAGGS, Patrick L. of 2726 Alderwood Ave. died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1993. He was 83. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Monday at Assumption Church with the Rev. James E. Lee officiating. Born Nov. 23, 1910, in Keokuk, Iowa, Mr. Daggs moved to Whatcom County in 1988. His wife Pearl Sears Daggs, died in July 1989. Arrangements by Jones-Moles Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

DAGGS, Pearl May, 77, of 2020 Franks St. died Wednesday (July 19, 1989) at Sehome Care Center. There will be no funeral. Mrs. Daggs was born July 31, 1911, in Clay Center, Neb. She had been a nurse in Spokane, and was a member of Calvary Temple in Bellingham. She had been a resident of Bellingham since 1988. She is survived by her husband, Patrick of the family home; two sons, Norman Dean Sears of Bellingham and James Dale Sears of Fairbanks, Alaska; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives. Arrangements are by Whatcom County Cremation Association.

DAGON, Bessie May, age 77, of 2833 Chautauqua, passed away at home Friday, October 20, (1954). Mrs. Dagon was a direct descendant of Sir Edward Shipman of England, who arrived in the colonies in 1630 and of Lt. Col. Shipman of the Revolutionary War. She attended the Mary Lesher Thatcher School for Girls, in Easton, Penn., was a member of the American war Mothers, Brown and Lynch Post of Easton, Penn., Gold Star Mothers and of the First Presbyterian Church of Bellingham. Surviving relatives include one son, William H. in the Air Force at West Palm Beach, Fla.; four daughters, the Misses Harriet, Caroline and Josephine of Bellingham and Elsie Allen of Tampa, Florida; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Anna M. Kinney of Allentown, Penn., Mrs. Hattie Eckel of Washington, N.J., and Mrs. Edith Backer of Ralston, N.J.; numerous nieces and nephews. The remains rest at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth, where services will be conducted by the Rev. Harold Penhaluric, Wednesday November 3, at 1 p.m. Final resting place Greenacres.

DAGON, Joseph Francis, age 77, of 2833 Chautauqua, passed away in a local hospital Thursday, March 18, (1954). Mr. Dagon had resided in this community for the past 8 years and was a retired engineer for the Lehi Valley Railroad. He was a direct descendent of the settlers of Connecticut in 1635, and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Brotherhood and Locomotive Firemen, and a 37 year member of the I. O. O. F. of Stewartsville, New Jersey. Surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs. Bessie Dagon; 4 daughters: Miss Harriett F. Dagon, Caroline Dagon, and Josephine M. Dagon, all at the family home, and Mrs. Elma Allen of Lessville (?) Louisiana; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 3 brothers: Vincent and John, both of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, and James of Easton, Pennsylvania; a sister Mrs. Emma (?) of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, a number of nieces and nephews; and a foster son, Sgt. William H. Dagon in Guam. The remains rest at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where services will be conducted by Rev. Harold E. DAGON, Josephine M., 63, 1911 Texas St., a resident of Bellingham since 1946 and member of the First Presbyterian Church died Sunday (Oct. 19, 1975). Survivors include three sisters, Hattie Frances Durgin and Cariline Dagon, both of Bellingham, and Elsie Allen, Brando, Fla.; a foster brother, William H. Dagon of Phillipsburg, NJ, and several nieces and nephews. At her request no service will be held. Arrangements are being made by Veroske's Bellingham Chapel.

DAHL, Aagot K. (Mrs. K. I. Dahl), age 87, of 520 Bayside Rd., passed away Tuesday, July 28, (1987) in her residence. She was a former board member of YWCA. Survived by 2 sons, Dr. Arne Dahl of Hawaii & Kjell Dahl of city; 1 daughter Myrna Dake of Foster City, CA; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 1 brother & 2 sisters in Norway. DAHL, Adolph (Ed), age 84 years, of 2218 Henry, passed away Tuesday, August 7, (1951) following an extended illness. Mr. Dahl had worked for the Puget Sound Power & Light Company for 36 years and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Hedvie; one step-daughter, Mrs. Deloris Wert, of San Francisco; two brothers and one sister, all in Norway; one niece, Mrs. Harold Stahley, of Inglewood, Calif., and one nephew, Art Wahl, of Tacoma. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 10, at 2 p.m. within the chapel of the Bingham-Dahlquist Jerns Funeral Home, with the Rev. Daniel E. Taylor, minister, officiating. DAHL, Adolph K., age 79, formerly of H St., Blaine, passed away Sun., July 19th, (1987). He was born March 27, 1908 in the northern portion of Norway. He was a retired commercial fisherman and had been a resident of this area for the last 30 years. DAHL, Anna, age 93, a Sedro Woolley resident for 65 yrs. died Fri. (Feb. 17, 1978) at the Skagit Convalescent Center, she was born Oct. 19, 1884 in Norway, came to Skagit Co., with her parents in 1905. Her marriage to John Dahl took place in B'ham in 1908. He preceded her in death in 1961. Survived by; 1 daughter, Mrs. Roy Bryson of Sedro Woolley. 1 sister, Mrs. Petra Palmer of Sedro Woolley. 2 granddaughters; Doris Howell & Shirley London both of Sedro Woolley. 5 great grandchildren & 5 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tues. Feb. 21st at 1:30 p.m. at the Lemley Chapel, followed by interment in the Sedro Woolley Union Cemetery.

DAHL, Anna, 88, of 409 York St., died Tuesday (Sept. 8, 1981). Born Sept. 9, 1892, in Norway, she had been a local resident since 1947. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Business and Professional Women's Club for more than 50 years. She was a retired credit manager at BB Furniture. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Funeral services were to be held at 3 p.m. today at Faith Lutheran Church, with burial following in Greenacres Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Jones Funeral Home.

DAHL, Anthony (Tony), age 64, 3244 Firwood Avenue, passed away in a local hospital Tuesday, January 14, (1964). Mr. Dahl was a sixty-two year resident of Bellingham and was employed as a steam hammer operator before his retirement. He attended the Lutheran Church; was a member of Fairhaven Lodge No. 73, F.&A.M., and was a veteran of World War II. Survivors are his widow, Helen, at home; one sister, Mrs. Rena Warren, City; one brother, August Dahl, Kirkland and one nephew, Harry Warren of Renton. The remains rest at the Jones Funeral Home where services will be conducted by Dr. Glen C. Carlson and Officers of Fairhaven Lodge No. 73, F.&A.M. Friday, January 17 at 3:00 p.m. Cremation will follow.

DAHL, Bergit died April 28, 1981 in an Edmonds hospital. She was born in Bo, Telemarken, Norway, Oct. 11, 1891. She came to the U.S. in 1906 settling in N. Dakota & moved to Bellingham in 1912. She has resided in Edmonds since 1961. She was a charter member of St. Peter by the Sea Lutheran Church, Edmonds. She is survived by sons, George E., Chester A., J. Bennett Dahl, all of Edmonds; daughter Audrey Caraker of Dallas, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. Services Sat. 11 a.m. Chapel of Beck's Funeral Home, Edmonds. Interment Greenland Cemetery.

DAHL, Bernhoff J., age 71 of Rt. 2, Blaine passed away at home Tuesday, Jan. 25, (1977). A resident of Blaine for the past 25 years, he was a retired shipwright and commercial fisherman. Surviving are 2 brothers, Adolf of Blaine and Erling of San Diego, Calif.; 2 sisters, Audrey Christenson of New Jersey and Alma Glomstad of San Clemente, Calif.; also numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held Sat., Jan. 29 at 11 a.m. at McKinney Chapel in Blaine with Rev. Donald Walter officiating.

DAHL, Betty, age 75 of Bellingham, passed away on June 29, 2007. Betty was considered the best mom and grandma by her beloved family. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Earl Dahl of Bellingham; daughter Barbara (husband Gailen) Hoy of Nooksack; daughter Ellen (husband Danny) Williams of Sumas; son Mike (wife Sandy) of Idaho; daughter Mea (husband Mike) Tyas of Bellingham; grandchildren Kathy, Brenda, April, Erica, Trisha, Jeff, Danny, and Joelle; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Thursday, July 5 from 3-5 p.m. A Celebration of Betty's Life will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Friday, July 6 at 11 a.m. followed by a reception across the street at Westford's Broadway Hall. DAHL, Bonnie J. (Nieuwsma), 36, of St. Louis died Sept. 28, 1994 in St. Louis. She was born to Herman and Ruth Nieuwsma in Bellingham on Feb. 13, 1958. She graduated from Lynden High School in 1976 and married Jon E. Dahl on Sept. 12, 1981 in Lynden. The family moved to St. Louis in 1984 and she graduated from Missouri Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in St. Louis in 1991. She was employed as a registered nurse in the special care nursery at St. Mary's Health Center in St. Louis. Mrs. Nieuwsma (sic) was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting and cross-stitching. She is survived by her husband Jon of St. Louis; three sons, Jeremy, Michael and Matthew, all of St. Louis; mother Ruth Nieuwsma of Kalispell, Mont.; father-in-law Carl Dahl and mother-in-law Dorothy Dahl of Bellingham; three sisters, Vivian Nieuwsma of St. Louis, Arlene Loeschen of Albany, Texas and Karen Russell of Dallas, Texas; brother Bob Nieuwsma of Kalispell, Mont.; brother-in-law Ed Dahl of Bellingham; and six nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Herman. Interment was Monday at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, followed by a memorial service at Bethany Baptist Church. Arrangements were made by Ambruster-Donnelly Funeral Home in St. Louis.

DAHL, Doris E., 83, of Blaine, died Wednesday (Oct. 2, 1985). She was born Dec. 10, 1901, and was a lifelong resident of Whatcom County. She had lived at Icelandic Nursing Home-Stafholt since 1977. Mrs. Dahl was married to Lester D. Dahl in Blaine Dec. 24, 1919. Her husband died in 1980. Survivors include a daughter (June Geer of Renton); a grandson, Jeff Geer of Blaine; and a great-granddaughter (Heather Geer). Private graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Blaine Cemetery, with the Rev. Don Walter officiating.

DAHL, Doris Virginia, 67, 1200 Lincoln Street, Bellingham, passed away February 26, 1991. She was born July 19, 1923 to Herman and Alma Ghumm, Bellingham, WA and has been a lifetime area resident. Survivors are her daughters, JoAnn and her husband Larry Friend of Mount Vernon and Virginia and her husband Ron Zorza of Pomeroy, WA; four grandchildren, Jerry and Michael Friend, Mount Vernon and Karmen and Andy Zorza of Pomeroy, WA; constant companion, Ken Shearer of Bellingham; sisters, Frances Barlindal of Tacoma, Norma Stangland of Portland, Patricia Richardson of Georgia, Roberta Selland of Tacoma, Theodora Bock of Seattle and Julie Bales of Oregon; close friend, Betty Whitener. DAHL, Eilert C., age 66, passed away suddenly at home, 2532 Smith Rd., Monday Oct. 1, (1956). Mr. Dahl was a retired dairy farmer; was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church, a charter member of the W.C.D.A. and a member of the Washington Co-Op, and had resided in this community for the past 40 years. Surviving relatives are his widow, Marie, at home; two sons, Einar and Earl, both of Bellingham; one daughter, Mrs. Elvera Clark of Seattle; seven grandchildren; one brother, Askim of East Grand Forks, Minn., and one sister, Mrs. Mary Skjorstad of Redmond, Wash. DAHL, Einar Marvin, age 64, of Bellingham, passed away Tues., Nov. 19th, (1985) in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 7, 1920 on the family farm in Bellingham and a life long resident of the Bellingham area. He was a farmer and a logger and a member of the Bellingham Elks, The Laborers Union No. 276, and the Nugents Corner Volunteer Fire Dept. He attended the Bethany Lutheran Church at Nugents Corner. He is survived by his wife, Doris, at home; 2 daughters, JoAnn and her husband Larry Friend of Mt. Vernon and grandchildren Jerry and Michael Friend and Virginia and Ron Zorza and grandchildren Karman and Andy of Pomeroy, WA; mother, Marie Dahl; brother, Earl C. Dahl, of Route No. 1, of Blaine; two sisters, Mrs. Luella Abbott, of Berkeley, Calif., and Doris at home; four brothers, Lt. Elmer Dahl in the U.S. army in Germany, Lt. Harvey Dahl if the U.S. army in the Philippines, Pvt. Allen Dahl in the U.S. army in this country and Hubert Dahl at home; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. P. E. Dahl, of Reedley, Calif., and numerous other relatives. DAHL, Everett A., 78, of Puyallup, died on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at Rainier Vista Care Center in Puyallup. He was born on June 7, 1925 in Devil's Lake, North Dakota, the son of Alfred and Anna Marie (Moe) Dahl. He married Dorothy Larson and they made their home in Ferndale, WA, where he was a resident for 47 years. While living there, Everett was an elementary school teacher in the Ferndale School District for 33 years. He was a member of the Zion and Christ Lutheran churches in Ferndale for many years. His real passion during this time was his 20 acre farm that he operated and maintained in the Ferndale area. For the last 9 years he made his home in Puyallup. Everett is survived by his wife, Dorothy, at their home in Puyallup a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Sonja Dahl of Puyallup a daughter and son-in-law, Sue Larsen and husband Kevin Burke of Dupont, WA and two grandchildren, Eric (age 6) and Jessica (age 2) Dahl of Puyallup, WA. A memorial service will be held at 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at Christ's Lutheran Church in Ferndale. Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel, Anacortes, WA.

DAHL, Forrest Herbert, formerly of Bellingham and Maple Falls, who was given a medical discharge by the navy two years ago and later was drafted in the army, passed away at Seattle Wednesday, (Sept. 8, 1943) following an extended illness. Following his medical discharge from the navy, Dahl worked at Boeing's until his number came up in the draft more than fourteen months ago. He was in England for several months driving an army truck and was invalided home last March, spending four months in an eastern hospital before being discharged. Dahl, 24, with his wife, Helena, made his home at 2208 West Dravus street, Seattle. He attended Maple Falls grade school before moving to Bellingham. Aside from his widow, immediate survivors include his mother, Felicia Dahl, formerly of this city and Maple Falls and now of Moxee City; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Frederickson, of Moxee City, and Mrs. Cecelia Buster, of Seattle; grandmother, Mrs. Clara Blood, of Bellingham, and two nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Home Undertaking Company in Seattle.

DAHL, Frederick L., age 87, of 1085 Garfield St. Blaine, died Sat. Oct. 27, 1990. Born in Blaine, he attended Southward School Elementary. He was a butcher in his early years, then turned to being an auto mechanic. He later turned to Seattle City Light at New Halem [Newhalem] for employment. He married Edith Leonard in 1933 and enjoyed woodcutting, playing pool, hunting, and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Edith; sons Forest & Pat Dahl of Emunclaw, Frederick & Sandra Dahl of Columbia Falls, MT, Lester & Retha Dahl of North Bend; a daughter Joyce & Myron Burkhardt; and 10 grandchildren. Eight brothers and sisters preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Wed. Oct. 31, 1990 1:30 p.m. at Jerns-McKinney Funeral Chapel in Blaine, Pastor Phil Hines officiating. DAHL, George E., age 62 of Edmonds, passed away Oct. 6, (1982) in a Edmonds hospital. Born Oct. 21, 1919 in Hoquiam, living in Bellingham 1926 to 1940 where he was a graduate of Mt. DAHL, Helen, 82, 3244 Firwood Drive, died Tuesday (Feb. 24, 1987) in Bellingham. She was born Oct. 10, 1904 in Washington and lived in Bellingham for most of her life. Mrs. Dahl is survived by her cousin, Helen Phillips of Everett. At Mrs. Dahl's request, there will be no services. The body was cremated. Arrangements were by Jones Funeral Home.

DAHL, Helen Elizabeth – At her request, there will be no services for Helen Elizabeth (Hobart) Dahl of Ferndale. Mrs. Dahl died Thursday, Sept 7, 2000 at St. Joseph Hospital. She was 73. Mrs. Dahl was born Sept 15, 1926 to Charles T. and Eva L. (Brown) Hobart in Lewiston, Idaho. Mrs. Dahl worked as a bookkeeper for Brown & Cole Stores. Survivors include daughters Susan Hilton of Ferndale, Christine Speitch of Arizona and Nancy Grable of Missouri; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. DAHL, Henry S. - Funeral services for Henry S. Dahl, 90, a former resident and farmer in Whatcom County, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Moles Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Ralph Poulson officiating. Burial will be in Enterprise Cemetery. Mr. Dahl, of Seattle, died Sunday (Dec. 13, 1987). He was born Jan. 11, 1897, in LeHigh, Kan. and lived and farmed in Ferndale and Blaine for 35 years before moving to Seattle in 1979. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ferndale. A retired farmer and a veteran of WWI, he was a lifetime Mason of Masonic Lodge No. 64, Hoquiam and a charter member of St. Peter by the Sea Lutheran Church, Edmonds. DAHL, Karl C. - A Graveside service for Karl C. Dahl of Bellingham will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 14 at Greenacres Memorial Park in Ferndale. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Jan 15 at Faith Lutheran Church, with the Rev. R. L. Christensen officiating. Mr. Dahl died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999 in Bellingham. He was 81. Born May 17, 1918 to Carol and Petra (Peterson) Dahl in Sioux City, Iowa, he graduated from East High School. Mr. Dahl served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during World War II from February 1942 to Oct 25, 1945. On May 14, 1945, he married Dorothy Ericson in Los Angeles. Mr. Dahl retired from Georgia-Pacific West Inc. in 1982 after working there for 41 years. Mr. Dahl was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Bellingham Norwegian Male Chorus and Pacific Coast Norwegian Singers. He enjoyed singing, traveling and woodcrafts. His sisters Naomi Dahl and Palma Selvig and brother Claude Dahl died previously. Survivors include his wife of the family home; sons Ed Dahl of Bellingham and Jon Dahl of St. Louis; daughters Jan Dahl of Renton and Ann Dahl of Seattle; sisters Amy Sawyer of Bellingham and Margaret Martin of Lewiston, Idaho; eight grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. DAHL, Kjell - The funeral for Kjell Dahl, 64, of 4378 Salt Springs Drive, Ferndale, will take place at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of Westford Funeral Home, with Father John Gibbs officiating. Mr. Dahl died Friday at his residence following an extended illness. In 1926, Mr. Dahl and his family sailed from his native Norway to North America, landing in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The family then took a train to Vancouver, B.C., and arrived in Bellingham soon thereafter. In 1931 Mr. Dahl's father, Karl, established the Dahl Fish Co., which Mr. Dahl later operated. He married Donna Power in 1962 in Las Vegas, Nev. Mr. Dahl was a former board member of the Bellingham Golf and Country Club, a member of the Bellingham Yacht Club, Elks Club and Washington Athletic Club. He was also a member of numerous coastal and national seafood industry organizations. Survivors include his wife Donna; daughter Maria and husband Charles Brandt of Bellingham; son Alec and wife Cheryl Bachan of Sumner; three grandchildren, Travis, Bryce and Caitlin Buchan, all of Sumner; brother Dr. Arne Dahl of Kahlua Kona, Hawaii; sister Myrna Dake of Foster City, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

DAHL, Lester Dewey, age 82, passed away in a local nursing home Mon., Oct. 27, 1980. He was a life time resident of Blaine and was a retired mechanic and had worked for the Blaine School District, was a life time member of the Blaine Volunteer Fire Department. He leaves to survive his wife Doris Dahl; 1 daughter June Geer & son-in-law Gordy; 1 brother, Fred Dahl; 1 grandson, Jeff Dahl; numerous nieces & nephews, all residing in Blaine. DAHL, Louis M., age 89, of 2812 Williams St. passed away Sunday, April 13, 1980. He was born Sept. 8, 1890 in Bergen, Norway. He was a member of this community for the past 72 years, he attended Central Lutheran Church. He was a life member of the Sons of Norway and was employed by Alaska Packers for 32 years. He is survived by his wife Josephine, 1 son Halgair & wife Margaret of city. 1 daughter, Mrs. Lillian and husband, George Dahl of Edmonds, WA. 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Karl Dahl of Norway. 1 sister Astrid of Norway. DAHL, Margaret Irene - A memorial service for Margaret Irene Dahl of Bellingham will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Northwest Baptist Church with the Rev. George Bedlion officiating. DAHL, Marie, 82, died Dec. 22, 1971 in Everett. She had previously resided in Ferndale and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She is survived by three sons, Harold and Clarence, both of Seattle, Everett of Ferndale; brother, Archie Moe of Sumas; ten grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Eilert in 1956 and a son Einar Dahl in 1985, She is survived by a son Earl & wife Betty Dahl, Bellingham, WA; daughter Elvera Clark, Seattle, WA; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. DAHL, Martin August, age 77, 2620 Orleans Street, passed away Sunday, April 10, (1966). A lifetime resident of Sioux City, Iowa, Mr. Dahl had resided in this City since December of this year. He was a retired blacksmith for the Chicago-Milwaukee Railroad and was a life member of the Blacksmith's Union. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Sioux City, Iowa; a member of Landmark Lodge No. 103, A.F. & A.M.; Scottish Rite Sioux City Consistory; Abu Bekr Shrine, and he sang with the Shrine Chanters. He was also a member of the Sons of Norway; a life member of the Scandinavian Societies, and he sang with the Nordic Male Chorus of Sioux City for over fifty years. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Anderson, City; two sisters, Miss Anna Dahl and Mrs. Engeborg Brannstrom, both of this City; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services were conducted by Pastor Raymond E. Pfleuger Monday, April 11 at 4:30 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home. The remains will be forwarded to Sioux City, Iowa for burial.

DAHL, Regina, age 77, of Route 5, Bellingham, passed away in a local hospital, Thursday, February 13, (1947). Mrs. Dahl had resided in this community for the past forty-five years and was a member of the Maple Leaf Chapter No. 58, O.E.S. Surviving relatives are two sons, A. C. of Route 5, Bellingham, and Richard, of Kirkland; one daughter, Mrs. Harry Warren, of Centralia; three grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Mary Crowley, of Hawley, Minn. The remains are at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where services will be conducted by the Rev. James M. Wilson and officers of O.E.S., Saturday, February 15, at 11 a.m. Final resting place, Bay View.

DAHL, Sean Michael, 24, of 1814 Texas St., Bellingham, died from an accidental shooting Saturday, May 2, 1992 in Portland, Ore. He was born on July 26, 1967 in Vallejo, Calif. He attended Lynden public schools and graduated from Lynden High School in 1985. He was an active member of the Boy Scouts and was elected to its Order of the Arrow. He served in the Army five years, three of them in Germany in the 536th Military Police Company, and as unit armorer for the 555th Military Police Company at Fort Lee, Va. He also served in Honduras and was a member of operations "Just Cause" and "Promote Liberty" in Panama. Dahl was currently attending Whatcom Community College, where he served as vice president of Phi Theta Kappa, the school's honors program. He love the outdoors and his hobbies included scuba diving, snow skiing and reading. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Ruth Anne Dahl of Ferndale; brother Kelly Dahl of Ferndale; grandmothers Beatrice Reddick of Guilford, Conn. and Aileen Dahl of Marysville; and numerous other relatives. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Whatcom Community College in Bellingham.

DAHL, Suzanne Lois & Shannon Lee, twin daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Arnie Dahl, of 1317 Garden. Suzanne passed away Sept. 2, (1950) age 1 day, and Shannon passed away Sept. 3, age 2 days. Surviving besides the parents is one brother, Arnie Karl. The funeral cortege left the Bingham-Dahlquist & Jerns Funeral Home Tuesday, September 5, at 4:30 p.m. for Woodlawn Cemetery where graveside services were conducted by the Rev. Canon E. B. Smith.

DAHL, Steven Bradley, age 36, formerly of Edmonds, died Aug. 2, 1985 in Dallas, Texas as a result of an airline crash. He was born March 1, 1949 in Seattle, was a 1968 graduate of Edmonds High school and had served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He was employed as the National Accounts Manager for the Revlon Corporation. He is survived by his parents, Chester & Barbara Dahl; sister, Debby Dahl; brothers, Jeff, Dave, Jay and Jim Dahl. DAHL, Vernon (Bud), age 58 of Allen, Skagit County, died Thurs., August 21, 1980 at United General Hospital, Sedro Woolley. He was born April 1, 1922 at Bow, was a graduate of Edison High School and attended Gonzaga University and Western Washington University. During WWII he had served with the U.S. Army. His marriage to Charlotte Henderson took place Oct. 16, 1944 in Anacortes. Mr. Dahl was employed as a salesman for Cascade Tractor Co. of Kent. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Burlington, Elks Lodge, No. 1604 Mt. Vernon, and the Allen Fire Dept. Surviving are his wife Charlotte, at home; 3 sons, Dennis Dahl of New Meadows, Idaho; Tim Dahl of Allentown, Penn.; & Robert Dahl at home; a daughter-in-law Bonnie Dahl, New Meadows, Idaho; 4 sisters, Juanita Dahl of Heidelberg, Germany; Mrs. Steve (Geneva) Sasnett of Bow; Mrs. Tom (Dorothy) Oswold of Mt. Vernon; & Mrs. Howard (Ione) Taylor of Burlington; 3 brothers, Norman, Ernest & Loren Dahl, all of Bow; 2 aunts, Leona Novotny of Mt. Vernon; & Kay Brandstrom of Stanwood; numerous nieces & nephews. Vigil services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Fri., August 22 at Hulbush Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Sat., August 23 at St. Charles Catholic Church, Burlington. DAHLBERG, Oscar S., age 55, a lifelong resident of Ferndale, passed away at his home Wednesday, September 29, (1948) following a brief illness. DAHLE, Gerald L., age 66 of 7510 Blaine Rd., Blaine, passed away Wed., Dec. 27, 1989 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born Feb. 18, 1923 in Bellingham and had been a lifetime resident of Whatcom Co. Mr. Dahle was a member of Bellingham Elks Lodge No. 194 and the American Legion. He was an Army veteran of WWII having served in Europe. He is survived by his sister, Edna & husband James Forsythe of Custer, WA; nephew, Larry & wife Susan Forsythe of Mt. Vernon; niece, Judy & husband David Emley of Ferndale; nephew Douglas & wife Jean Hawley of Burns Lake, B.C. DAHLE, Helga, age 67, of Rt. 1, Blaine, passed away at a local hospital Monday, August 16, (1954) following a brief illness. Mrs. Dahle had been a resident of Whatcom County for the past 46 years and eas a member of the Cardinal Rebekah Lodge of Custer and the Birch Bay Grange. She is survived by her husband, Peter; two daughter, Mrs. Marie Davis of Bow, Mrs. Edna Forsythe of Custer; one son, Gerald, at home; one sister, Mrs. Amanda Sandness of Bellingham; a niece, Mrs. Gunhild Hube of Bellingham; three grandchildren; five sisters and numerous nieces and nephews in Norway. DAHLE, Peter A., age 75 of Route 1, Blaine, passed away Monday, August 2, (1965). A resident of Whatcom County since 1909 he had farmed in the Blaine and Custer areas for the past 39 years. DAHLEN, Harold, age 75, of 216 E. Holly Street, passed away in a local hospital Wednesday, November 22, (1950). DAHLGREN, Carol Lorraine, two-week-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dahlgren of Rt. 2, Everson, died Saturday (Jan. 15, 1955). Besides the parents she is survived by one brother, Ricky, and one sister, Kathleen, both at home; the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Dahlgren of Rt. 2, Everson, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Robinson of Nooksack, and the great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gooding and Mrs. Nancy Tucker, all of Bellingham. DAHLGREN, Edwin H. - Bellingham resident Edwin H. Dahlgren died Monday, Jan. 18, 1993, at his home. He was 85. At his request, no services will be held. He was born March 23, 1907, in Tacoma to Hilda and Oscar Dahlgren. He attended schools in Tacoma and attended the University of Washington. Mr. Dahlgren married Dorothy Barkley in 1929. After conducting fisheries research in Alaska and both coasts of the United States, he joined the Foreign Service in Indonesia and Tunisia. After he retired in 1962, he and his wife spent many years traveling. They moved to Bellingham in 1984. Survivors include his wife of the family home; sons Dan Dahlgren of Atlanta and Ed Dahlgren of Bellingham; sister Amy Fenner of Lacey; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. DAHLGREN, Gust Harman, age 69, of Rt. 2, Everson, passed away in a Bellingham hospital, Tuesday, Oct. 25, (1960). Mr. Dahlgren had been a resident of the Everson-Nooksack area since 1905 and had been employed for many years as a truck driver by Whatcom County and the Darigold Assn. Surviving are his wife, Eva; three daughters, Mrs. Vernon Edin of Nooksack, Mrs. Belford Sorenson of Everson, Mrs. Jeanne Hanson of Bellingham; one brother Joe, of Everson; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Moberg of Bellingham, Mrs. Hilda Reamer of Hamilton, also nine grandchildren. DAHLIA, Ellen F. - A memorial service for Ellen F. Dahlia of Bellingham will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Faith Lutheran Church with the Rev. R. L. Christensen officiating. Mrs. Dahlia died Saturday, Aug. 2, 1997. She was 71. Born Oct. 30, 1925, in Gila Bend, Ariz., she worked as an account manager for Haggen Foods for 17 years. Mrs. Dahlia enjoyed playing bingo and supporting the Seattle Mariner baseball team. DAHLINGER, David G., age 73, of 1414 Grant St., passed away in a local hospital Tuesday, Aug. 2, (1960). Mr. Dahlinger had been a 34-year resident of this community and for the past few years had been the Whatcom County assessor. Mr. Dahlinger was a member of Whatcom Lodge No. 151, F. & A.M.; a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies; Order of Amaranth, and a member of Albert J. Hamilton Post No. 7, American Legion. Surviving relatives are his widow, Eva, at home; three brothers, Henry and Fred, both of Fresno, Calif., and John of San Mateo, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Obenchain of Los Angeles, Calif., also many nieces and nephews. DAHLMAN, Amanda, age 80, passed away in a local hospital Tuesday, April 26, (1955). Mrs. Dahlman had resided in this community for the past 32 years and was a member of the Methodist Church. DAHLQUIST, Amelia, age 80, of 339 S. Forest, passed away at 2728 McLeod Road, Wednesday, May 24, (1950) following a lingering illness. Mrs. Dahlquist was the widow of the late Thomas S. Dahlquist. She was born in Norway, coming to this country about 60 years ago. She had been a resident of Bellingham the past 50 years. Surviving relatives include numerous nieces and nephews. DAHLQUIST, Betsy - The funeral for Betsy Dahlquist, 49, of 4747 Lake Terrell Road, Ferndale, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Swinomish Special Services Building in La Conner, with burial following at the Swinomish Tribal Cemetery. The Rev. Leonard Rodriguez will officiate at the funeral. She died Sunday (June 9, 1991) at home. She was born to Alfonso and Threase Sampson on Feb. 17, 1942, in Mount Vernon. She moved to Ferndale in 1987. She was a member of the Indian Shaker Church in La Conner. She enjoyed sight-seeing by car. Survivors include a son, Thomas Peters of Alaska; three daughters, Wilma Peacher, Threase Finkbonner and Josephine Finkbonner, all of Ferndale; two grandsons (Nikays Peters of Mt. Vernon and Joseph Finkbonner of Ferndale); three granddaughters (Beyunkia and Ali Peacher of Sedro Woolley, Dora Finkbonner of Ferndale); two sisters, Margaret James of Nooksack and Virginia McKenzie of Swinomish; a brother, Joseph Sampson of Swinomish; and numerous other relatives. DAHLQUIST, Dora A., 62, 535 E. Hemmi Road, Lynden, died Friday (June 6, 1986) at her home. She was a retired licensed practical nurse, employed for many years at St. Luke's General Hospital. She was born Dec. 3, 1923 in Oklahoma, and lived for a time in Texas before moving to Whatcom County in 1951. Mrs. Dahlquist was a member of St. Luke's Assistance League and the Rome Grange, and was a volunteer at Lynden Senior Activities Center, where she also was a member of the senior bowling league and the senior pool team. She married Wayne "Bud" Dahlquist in Bellingham July 5, 1963. Survivors in addition to her husband include two sons, W. K. Brackett of Seattle, and Ray Brackett, of Redmond; a daughter, Mrs. Pat Hammell of Laurel; two stepsons Larry Dahlquist of Everson and Ken Dahlquist of Woodinville; her mother, Mrs. Ora Boyd of Stanfield, Ore.; a sister, Mrs. Carrie Plummer, also of Stanfield; a brother, Levi Boyd of Yreka, Calif.; and ten grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Gillies Funeral Home, with the Rev. William Verwolf officiating. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park. Mr. Dahlquist came to Bellingham in 1926 and was president of the Bingham-Dahlquist & Jerns Funeral Home since 1929. He was a member of the Church of the Assumption, the Washington State Funeral Directors Association, the Elks Lodge No. 194, the United Travelers of America, the Knights of Pythias No. 56, the IOOF Lodge and the United Junior Order of American Mechanics. He leaves to survive his wife, Agnes L. Dahlquist; three sons, George S. Dahlquist Jr., Perry S. and Thomas S.; three daughters, Loretta Agnes, Rosemary and Elizabeth Ann, all of Bellingham; also one sister, Mrs. R. R. Perry, of Huron, S.D., and numerous other relatives. DAHLQUIST, Gustaf F., age 92, of 1007 E. Marion Street, Seattle, passed away in a Renton hospital Friday, Jan. 27, (1950). Mr. Dahlquist had come to the Wiser Lake district in 1899, where he resided until 1925 when he moved to Bellingham, living here until moving to Seattle. Deceased was a member of the Lutheran Church, and leaves to survive one son, Lt. Col. F. C. Dahlquist in Japan; two daughters, Mrs. A. V. Peterson of Seattle, and Mrs. W. B. Nobles of Tacoma; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The remains are at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where services will be conducted by the Rev. Gordon Loren, Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 1:30 p.m. Final resting place, Woodlawn.

DAHLQUIST, Wayne - Visitation for Wayne "Bud" Dahlquist of 535 E. Hemmi Road, Lynden, will be from 9 a.m. until service time on Monday in Greenacres Funeral Home, Northwest and Axton roads. He married Alline Brackett in July 1963 in Lynden. She died in Jun 1986. He was a charter member of the Camels Club in Lynden, the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks in Bellingham, and Rome Grange. Survivors include his sons Larry L. Dahlquist of Everson and Ken W. Dahlquist of Bellingham; stepchildren Kenneth Brackett, Ray Brackett and Pat Hammell; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

DAHLQUIST, Wendela, age 77, passed away in Olympia on Saturday, Aug. 11, (1962). Mrs. Dahlquist had resided in Bellingham for 56 years before moving to Sacramento, Calif. 10 years ago. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church. She leaves to survive two daughter, Mrs. Deloris Berg, of Sacramento, Calif., Mrs. Henry Turner of Olympia, also four grandchildren. Rev. Evald E. DAILEN, Hilda, age 69, of Spanaway, passed away Sun. (July 3, 1983). She was born in Yakima and lived in Bellingham for 39 years moving to Spanaway in 1979. She was a catholic. DAILEY, Dean entered into the House of the Lord November 21, 2009. He left this world at home surrounded by his loving family. Dean was born December 5th, 1931 in Spokane to parents Evelyn and George Dailey. Leading an interesting and varied life, everyone who knew Dean would agree that he was a meticulous perfectionist at everything he did. Whether it be modeling, flying and the love of airplanes and jet fighters, motorcycles, Volkswagens, reloading and shooting, 57' Chevrolets and many other interests. Dean excelled at whatever he put his mind to. Dean's love of sports began at a young age. An avid golfer, he began playing at the age of 6 and became a scratch golfer. He played semi pro baseball with the Spokane Indians following High School as well as slow-pitch on the Intalco Aluminum Team. He also loved the Mariners and Seahawks. We will miss watching the games with Papa. He was a great skier and pool shark as well as bowler, having bowled a perfect 300 game. Dean was a true Irishman with an Irish temper that would sometimes flare, but mainly he will be remembered for his smile and firm handshake along with the time spent with his Buddies. He retired from Intalco Alum Security Dept. Dean is survived by his wife of 40 years Eula Dailey, Dean and Eula recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary October 3rd, 2009. His is also survived by his children; Chick Buckelew, Jeannine Benscoter, Patty Magney all of Spokane, step children; Jon (Katheryn) Brown and granddaughter Sarah, Angela (Mike) Brown and grandson Mason, Steven (Christine) Brown and grandchildren Ella, Dylan, Mik, Marty (Teresa) Brown and children; ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and sisters Colleen and Sharon of Spokane. Special thanks to the Hospice Angels, David Summer, Mary, Cat, and Angel Melissa. Dean Dailey's spirit will live on with his Family and the many who loved him. He will be remembered and missed by all who knew him. I love you honey, until we met again, remember the Big Fluffy Cloud. DAILEY, Patricia Dorothea - A memorial service for Patricia Dorothea (Hawk) Dailey of Canby, Ore., formerly of Bellingham, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Bethany Evangelical Church in Canby. Mrs. Dailey died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000, at a hospital in Portland, Ore. She was 65. Mrs. Dailey was born July 10, 1935, to Ralph E. and Rachel E. (Balderree) Hawk in Bellingham. In 1962, she married John Dailey in Eugene, Ore. They moved to Portland in 1962 and to Canby in 1972. Mrs. Dailey worked as a registered nurse for Community Health Nurse of Multnomah County. Mrs. Dailey was a former 15-year member of Chaps and Petticoats Square Dancers. Survivors include her husband of Canby daughters Elizabeth Dailey of Hubbard and Susan Solis of The Dalles, Ore., son Steven Dailey of Portland brothers Don Hawk of Seattle and Ralph Hawk of Newport, Ore. sister Marilyn Peterson of Bellingham five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. DAKIN, Maurice W. - A funeral service for Maurice W. Dakin, 78, 1200 E. Maryland will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the Westford Funeral Home. Mr. Dakin died Saturday (Oct. 18, 1975). DAKIN, Walter J., 76, of Ferndale passed away Tuesday, September 27, (1966). A lifelong resident of Ferndale, he is survived by his wife Viola; 2 sisters, Mrs. Elsie Bailey and Mrs. Bernice Quance, both of Ferndale; 1 brother Harold of Watertown, Wisc.; numerous other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 1 at 2 p.m. in Moles Funeral Chapel, Rev. William Shrover and Rev. Ralph Poulson officiating. Final resting place, Enterprise Cemetery.
