BARBEAU, Elizabeth D., age 72 of 1400 12th St., passed away Thurs., Feb. 2, (1978). A life time resident of Bellingham, she was a licensed practical nurse. Surviving are 3 sons, Donald of Steilacoom, Bruce of Lynnwood and Richard in Calif.; a brother, Harry Lee of Aberdeen; a sister, Jean Mandell of Tex. and 2 sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Lowry and Annie Lee both of Bellingham. Funeral services will be held in Veroskes Bellingham Chapel Weds. Feb. 8th at 2 p.m. followed by burial in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

BARBEAU, Henry "Skip" of Hoko Camp, Wash., died at Forks, Wash., Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 21, (1958) following a short illness. Mr. Barbeau was born in Bellingham, May 17, 1896, and lived in Bellingham until 18 years ago when he came to Clallam County. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary Johnston of Bellingham; his step-father, Wilson Johnston; his wife, Doris Barbeau of Hoko; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond Carlson of Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Lurene Goodman of Portland, Ore.; three sisters, Elvina Conlin of Tacoma, Mrs. Minnie Jenkins of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Juennette Baker of Germany; two brothers, George Barbeau of Sacramento, Calif., Fred Barbeau of Tacoma; three step-sisters, Mrs. Pearl Mortimore, Mrs. Marian Brown, both of Bellingham, and Mrs. Goldie Hobbs of Pomona, Calif.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild. The remains lie in state at the Jones Funeral Home in Bellingham, Saturday and Sunday. Graveside services will be held Monday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m.

BARBEAU, Peter J., age 91 of Blaine passed away at the Veterans Hospital in Seattle, Sunday, July 31, (1955) following a lingering illness. He was a Spanish-American War Veteran and a member of the Kulshan Masonic Lodge of Blaine. He is survived by his wife, Anna E., of Blaine, three sons, Donald Barbeau of Seattle, Robert of Cordova, Alaska and Franklin of St. Helens, Oregon; 6 grandchildren, two brothers, John Barbeau of San Diego, Ben of Brainerd; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 3 at 4 p.m. from the McKinney Funeral Home in Blaine with Rev. Clarence Lund officiating. Cremation.

BARBEE, John S., who resided at 343 South Garden St., passed away Thursday, March 29, (1956) following a lingering illness. Mr. Barbee had resided in Bellingham for the past 30 years and was a member of the Painters Union Local No. 924. Surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs. Annetta Barbee at home; one daughter, Mrs. Marie Hogg of Honolulu, Hawaii, also several nieces and nephews. Private Christian Science services will be conducted in the Chapel of the Bingham-Dahlquist & Jerns Funeral Home Monday, April 2, at 10 a.m., followed by interment in Bay View Cemetery.

BARBER, Claude J., 1534 Grant Street, passed away at a Tacoma hospital, Thursday, October 16, (1947). Mr. Barber had resided here the past forty-two years and was a retired engineer of the Northern Pacific Railway. Deceased was a member of Rising Star Lodge No. 79, I. O. O. F. and of the I. O. O. F. Encampment. Surviving relatives are Mrs. Orrin Williams, a daughter, in California, and one son, Marion, at Seaside, Ore.; one brother A. H. Ransom, Kansas; three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Lynn, of Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Nellie Jackson, of Ransom, Kansas, and Mrs. Dora Barkley, of Chicago, Ill.; also three grandchildren. The remains are at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth, where services will be conducted by the Rev. Ray S. Wagoner and officers of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Monday, October 20, at 1:30 p.m. Cremation.

BARBER, Edwin T., age 50, of 806 Union Street, Seattle, passed away in a Seattle hospital Wednesday, July 23, (1952). Mr. Barber was a machinist for the Continental Can Company in Seattle, having resided there for the past fifteen years. He had previously resided here and in Alaska. He was a member of the Episcopal Church and leaves to survive, two brothers, John and James G. Barber, both of Bellingham; three sisters, Miss Zipha Barber, of Bellingham, and Mrs. E. G. Most and Mrs. Alice Edson, both of Seattle, and numerous nieces and nephews. The remains rest at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where private services will be conducted by Father W. Robert Webb, Monday, July 28, at 3 p.m. Final resting place, Bay View.

BARBER, Elodie Rose passed away March 17, 2002 in Bellingham. She was 76, born Dec. 4, 1925 in Lodi, CA to Clifford and Iris (Smithson) Herman. She is survived by her daughter, Pam and husband Dean Curtis; son Jack Barber; grandchildren Julie and husband John Barriball; Lori and husband Justin Black, Melissa and husband Don Millard; Tanya and husband Matt Powell; Tamara and husband James Atwood; and four great-grandchildren. At her request, no services will be held.

BARBER, Ethel, 79, well-known retired owner of Barber's Hand Weaving Shop, died today (Feb. 16, 1983). She resided at 2113 Lummi Shore Road. She was born Sept. 19, 1903 in Nova Scotia, and had been a local resident most of her life. She and her husband, James, set up a weaving shop behind their home near Gooseberry Point in 1945. The hobby turned into a thriving business, employing several women from the Lummi Reservation. The various distinctive patterns she designed were woven into skirts and other articles. The finished products were sold all over the world. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Jones Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park.

BARBER, Frank, age 88, of Rt. 3, Blaine, WA., passed away in a local rest home Thursday April 29, (1976). A resident of Blaine since 1913, he was a retired foreman and long time employee of the Morrison Lumber Mill of Blaine. He was a veteran of WWI, and a member of the Blaine American Legion and St. Ann's Catholic Church of Blaine. Surviving are two sons, Thomas of San Antonio, Texas; and Joseph of Blaine. Also 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Christian prayer services will be held in Veroske's McKinney Funeral Home in Blaine, Sunday, May 2 at 7:30 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Ann's Catholic Church, Monday, May 3 at 10 a.m. Burial in Blaine Cemetery under the direction of Veroske's McKinney Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Icelandic Rest Home.

BARBER, Greeley E., aged 66 years, 219 East Holly, passed away at a local hospital Thursday, October 18, (1934) after an illness of one month's duration. Mr. Barber had been a resident of Bellingham for the past eleven years and was a former member of the Jukes Studio. Aside from many friends who will mourn his passing, he leaves to survive him two sisters, Mrs. Frank A. Brown, Mrs. Isaac Hud?, one nephew, R. W. Barber, all of Manilla, Iowa, Mr. Barber's former home. He also leaves to survive him one niece residing in Illinois. The remains were shipped by the Bingham-Dahlquist Funeral Home to Manilla, Iowa, where funeral services will be held.

BARBER, Harriett Jean, age 89 of 360 W. Pole Rd., Lynden, passed away Wed. Nov. 20, (1974) at her home. She was a member of the Bellingham Bible Chapel and is survived by her 2 sons, Norman of Lynden and Philip of Abbotsford, B.C., 2 daughters, Mrs. Ella Massey, Langley, B.C. and Mrs. Dan Clark of Lynden, 2 sisters, Mrs. Magdelene Harries and Miss Ruth Griffin both of Penticton, B.C., 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren. Services Tuesday Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. in the Gillies Funeral Home with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.

BARBER, James G. - Funeral services for James G. Barber will be conducted by the Rev. Russell Bisnett at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Jones Funeral Home. Mr. Barber, 72, 2095 Lummi Shore Rd., died Tuesday (May 8, 1973). He was a lifetime member of Bellingham Lodge 194 BPOE and Albert J. Hamilton Post 7, American Legion. He is survived by his widow Ethel; a brother John Barber; three sisters, Mrs. Elmo G. Most, Miss Zilpha Barber, Mrs. Arthur Edson, all of Bellingham; and nieces and nephews. Burial will be at Greenacres Memorial Park.

BARBER, Marie, age 61, passed away at home Thursday, March 29, (1951), following a lingering illness. Mrs. Barber had been a resident of Blaine for the past 30 years. Surviving relatives include her husband, Frank, of Blaine, and two sons, Tom, in San Antonio, Texas, and Joe in Blaine; two brothers, Joe Butler, Eugene, Ore., and one brother in Italy; two sisters, one in Italy, and one in France; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. High mass will be sung Friday evening 7:30 p. m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 31, at 10 a.m. from the St. Anne's Catholic Church with the Father James G. Buck officiating, under the direction of the McKinney Funeral Home in Blaine.

BARBER, Marion Morse, age 85, of Blaine, passed away in a Blaine rest home Tuesday, Mary 29, (1962). He had been a resident of Blaine since 1892 and had served with the United States Army during the Spanish-American War. He owned and operated a jewelry and watch repair shop in Blaine for 58 years, retiring in 1958. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Nelson of Kirkland; Mrs. Viola Generra of Long Beach, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Grace Henry of Seattle; also two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the McKinney Funeral Home in Blaine, Saturday at 2 p.m., Rev. Mack Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Blaine Cemetery.

BARBER, Nancy H. L., 88, died Saturday (December 29, 1973) in a local rest home. A resident of Blaine since 1930, she was a member of the senior Citizens Center, Royal Neighbors, Rebekah Lodge, and Haynie Grange. She is survived by her friends Maude Krenz and Mable Gillie. No services were held. Cremation will take place under the direction of Veroske's Bellingham Chapel. Memorials may be made to Stafholt Nursing Home.

BARBER, Ronald Lee, age 32, of Everett, Wash., passed away Wednesday, March 17, (1965) following an auto accident. Mr. Barber was a former resident of Bellingham and was an experimental machinist for Boeing. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Army and a member of the Machinist Union. He was a member of the Lynnwood First Advent Christian Church and is survived by his wife Myrna; 2 children Douglas Ronald and Katherine Faye, both at home; his father Siegle Barber of Butte, Montana, and his mother, Mrs. Hazel Taylor of Packwood, Wash.; 4 sisters, Mrs. Berk Likkel of Lynden; Mrs. Robert G. Galvin, Mrs. Carol Likkel and Mrs. Margaret Barber, all of Seattle. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 22 at 1:30 p.m. within the Cathedral Chapel of the Westford Funeral Home with Dr. Alen Lobb of the Lynnwood First Advent Christian Church officiating. BARBER, Traci L., age 25, of 527 Lyla Ln., passed away Friday, Feb. 5, 1993, in Bellingham. Born April 21, 1967 in Bellingham to William and Carol Barber. Traci graduated from Sehome High School in 1985 and was employed by Topline Travel as a travel consultant. She had graduated from International Air Academy in Vancouver, WA. She was a international swimmer, swimming for Sehome High School and the YMCA. Survived by her parents, Bill and Carol Barber; brother Brad Barber, all of Bellingham. BARBO, Kearney, age 37, of 2518 Elm Street, passed away in a local hospital Wednesday, October 11, (1950). Mr. Barbo had been a life resident of this community and had been a furniture refinisher and partner in the Barbo Furniture Company. Deceased had been a member of the Garden Street Methodist Church and Bellingham Lodge, No. 194, B. P. O. Elks. Surviving relatives are his widow, Gladys and three daughters, Tamora, LaVonne and Sally, all at home; two brothers, George K., of Bellingham, and Carl S., of Seattle, and one sister, Mrs. Richard Burghoffer, of Bellingham. The remains rest at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where services will be conducted by the Rev. Daniel E. Taylor Saturday, October 14, at 10:30 a.m. Final resting place, Bay View Cemetery.

BARBO, Mary, died in a local nursing home Tues., Jan. 1, 1980 at the age of 87. She was a long time resident of the Blaine area. Her husband preceded her in death. BARBO, Paul, age 82, of 2922 Birchwood Ave., passed away in a local hospital Wednesday, Dec. 20, (1961). A life resident of Bellingham, Mr. Barbo was a retired road construction contractor. Survivors are his widow, Mary E., at home; one son, Paul E., of Espanola, N.M.; one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Thomas of Santa Fe, N.M.; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. May Chase of San Francisco and Miss Sophia Barbo of Los Angeles; several nieces and nephews. BARBON, Mary M., age 59 of 3529 Northwest Ave., passed away in a local hospital Monday, Aug. 26, (1974). She had been a resident of Bellingham for the past year, moving here from Reading, PA. She was a member of the Order of Falcons of Reading, PA. Surviving are her husband, Joseph; 3 daughters, Joan Hiegler of Bellingham; Marilyn New of Denver, Colo., Kathleen Yarmush of Reading, PA; her mother Mrs. Frances Pietrozykowski of Reading PA; 4 sisters, Pauline Proiotto of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Florence Kerns, Anna Bouche and Irene Edwards, all of Reading, PA; also 5 grandchildren. BARCI, Meda C., age 79, of Rt. 3, Ferndale, passed away Monday, Oct. 20th, (1966). A resident of Whatcom County for the past 44 years, she is survived by her husband, Paul; one daughter, Mrs. Wanda Randals of Boise, Idaho; two sons, Herman of Everett and Paul Jr. of Ferndale; one brother, Charles W. Ague of Harrisburg, Pa.; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Oct. 28th at 1:30 p.m., Rev. John Haygood officiating in Moles Funeral Chapel. BARD, Joel M. passed away August 21, (2003) in Jackson Hole, WY after a long battle with cancer. He was born June 22, 1942. His devoted mate, Karen Johnson and son Seth were at his side. He spent his life as a dedicated Police Officer for 27 yrs. In retirement, he was a snowmobile guide in Yellowstone 6 yrs., a golf course groomer at Teton Pines 11 yrs., and an expert Snake River Raftsman. He resided in Bellingham for 3 yrs as Manager of Samish Arms and Owner/Operator of the Texaco Station at the Guide & Smith Rd. in partnership with his nephew Rob Stannik. He leaves behind his mother Gladys Ganse, resident of the Highland Home, sister Sally Leque, niece Sally Ann Beaven and family, Eric, Ira, and Sarah, niece Pamela and Tom Harmon and family, Ben, John, and Alison, niece Joelene Paul and son Dustin, brother-in-law Bob Stannik, all of Whatcom County; nephew Rob and Barb Stannik and family, Briana and Cullen, of Marysville, brother Michael and nephew Joel, daughter Tracy and Joe Marmo & their 4 daughters, all of CA. He will be remembered by the Senior Travelers as their special guide through Yellowstone, along with many dear friends in the area, especially Dave and Candy Jones. A remembrance of his exceptional life took place on Aug. 30 on a rafting trip down the Snake River in Jackson Hole. He will be missed.

BARDASON, Gudrun - Funeral services for Mrs. Gudrun Bardarson were held Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock from the Icelandic Free Church on Harrison Avenue. Mrs. Bardarson was 77 years of age and is survived by her husband, Sigurdur Bardarson, a daughter, Mrs. Roonie Dodd of Bellingham, and two sons, Leo B. Bardarson of Seattle, and Otto W. Bardarson of Carmel, California, four step-children and seven grandchildren. Interment was made in the Blaine cemetery and a long procession of cars filled with sorrowing friends and relatives, followed the hearse to the grave.

Gurdun Bardason, age 77 years, passed away at the family home Friday, May 5. Left to survive her are her husband, Sigurdur Bardason, a daughter, Mrs. Theo. Dodd of Bellingham, two sons, Leo B. of Seattle and Otto W. of Carmel, California, four step children and several grandchildren. Services were held Monday, May 8 at the Icelandic Free church, Rev. Albert Kristjanson, officiating. Interment occurred in the family plot at the Blaine cemetery.

BARDASON, Leo B., aged 63 years, passed away Tuesday, July 29, (1958) in Oakland, California. He is survived by his wife, Pauline at home; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Hammond of Seattle; and a sister, Mrs. Veiga Olson, also of Seattle; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tues., Aug. 5, at 2 p.m. at the Unitarian Church in Blaine, under the direction of the McKinney Funeral Home with Rev. A. E. Kristjannson officiating. Cremation.

BARDON, Edwin Alfred, age 81, of Acme, passed away in a local hospital, Wednesday, Sept. 27, (1961). Mr. Bardon was a 61-year resident and was a retired shingleweaver and logger, and a member of the Shingleweaver's Union. Survivors are the widow, Rebecca; one step-son, Leo Soulis of Bellingham, one sister, Mrs. Hansina Larson of Kings Gardens, Seattle. The remains rest at the Jones Funeral Home, where services will be conducted by Rev. Raymond Wahl on Monday, Oct. 2, at 10 a.m. Final resting place, Saxon Cemetery.

BARDON, Rebecca J., age 84, formerly of Acme, passed away in a local rest home Fri. Feb. 7, (1964). Widow of the late Edwin A. Bardon, Mrs. Bardon came to Whatcom County from Michigan in 1906. She was a retired cook, having been employed by the Blue Mt. Logging Co. and the Acme Hotel. Survivors are one son, Leo Soulia; one nephew, Andy Graveline and one niece, Mrs. Louise Thompson all of Bellingham. Services will be conducted at the Jones Funeral Home by the Rev. Raymond Wahl Tuesday. February 11 at 10:00 a.m. Final resting place Saxon Cemetery.

BARDWELL, Alvilde M., age 82, of 1209 1/2 State St., passed away in a local hospital Sunday, August 18, (1957) following a lingering illness. Mrs. Bardwell came to Whatcom County in 1889 and was a charter member of the Musicians Union, also a retired professional pianist. She leaves to survive one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Cheorier, of Seattle; one step-daughter, Mrs. J. D. Morton, of Olympia; two granddaughters, Mrs. Geraldine Dickson, of Seattle, and Mrs. Elmer Hagen of Tacoma; two great-grandsons, Michael Hagen, of Tacoma, and Mark Dickson of Seattle; one brother, Rudolph Amundson, of this city, and other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Aug. 22, at 1:30 p.m. within the Cathedral Chapel of the Westford Funeral Home, with Rev. Albert Tinberg, pastor of the Faith Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment, Bay View Cemetery.

BARDWELL, Alma - A memorial service for Alma "Bertha" Bardwell of Bellingham will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Faith Lutheran Church. Private burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mrs. Bardwell died Sunday, Nov. 26, 1995 in Bellingham. She was 94. Born Dec. 29, 1900 to Emmet J. and Ida Masche Cramer in Reed City, Mich., she married Forrest E. Bardwell on April 12, 1922. A Bellingham resident since 1920, she was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include nephew Jim Taylor of Tigard, Ore., one great-niece and one great-nephew.

BARDWELL, Emma C., 90, of 1607 Grant St., passed away Sat., Feb. 5, (1966). A charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Mrs. Bardwell was a member of the 8 et 40; the Faith Lutheran Church and the St. Luke's Assistance League and was a resident of Bellingham since 1893. The family requests memorials to the Heart Fund. Survivors are one son, F. E. "Bob" Bardwell; two daughters, Mrs. G. S. Gannon and Mrs. R. D. Taylor all of Bellingham; one grandson, James B. Taylor of Portland, Ore.; two great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Amelia Mikesell of Bellingham. Services will be conducted at the Jones Funeral Home by Pastor E. E. Olsenius, Feb. 8 at 3:00 p.m. followed by cremation.

BARDWELL, Forrest E. "Bob", of 1430 Birchwood Ave. died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1993, in Bellingham. He was 98. A funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church with the Rev. R. L. Christensen officiating. Private burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Born Aug. 23, 1895, to Erwin and Emma Bardwell in Bellingham, he was a lifelong resident of Whatcom County. He married Alma Bertha Cramer in 1922. Mr. Bardwell served in the Navy during World War II aboard the battleship Kearsarge. A 70-year member of the American Legion and a member of Bellingham Bay Masonic Lodge, he worked at the Bellingham Herald from 1919 to 1942, and from 1946 until his retirement in 1960. Survivors include his wife at Bellingham Care Center; and a nephew, Jim Taylor of Tigard, Ore. Arrangements by Jones-Moles Funeral Home.

BARDWELL, Irving Ransom, age 78 years, passed away in his family home at Granite Falls Wednesday, January 22, (1947). Mr. Bardwell had been a resident of Granite Falls for the past twenty-five years and formerly of Bellingham for thirty years. He is survived by his wife, Alvilde, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Morton, of Olympia, and Mrs. Ruth Chevrier, of Bellingham; three grandchildren, Mrs. Vivian Hagen, of Auburn, Mrs. Geraldine Dickson, of Bellingham, and Mrs. Frances Nida, Ocean Lake, Oregon, and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Friday, January 24 from the cathedral chapel of the Westford-Beck Funeral Home at 3:15 p.m. with the Rev. James M. Wilson officiating. Interment. Bay View.

BARFIELD, Isabelle Frances, of Klamath Falls, Ore., passed away in that city Friday, October 27, (1950). Mrs. Barfield had been a resident of Bellingham her entire life until leaving here in 1930. Surviving relatives include her husband, Robert of Klamath Falls; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Olbrantz, and a sister, Irene Olbrantz, all of Bellingham; a brother, Dr. W. J. Olbrantz of Tacoma. BARFOOT, Edward D., age 40, of Olga, Orcas Island, passed away Tuesday, March 7, (1950) as the result of a logging accident. Mr. Barfoot had been a resident of Olga for the past 4 1/2 years, and was a member of the Orcas Island Grange. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Barfoot, three children, Edward D. Jr., Sandra Lee, and Barbara Ann, all at home, his mother, Mrs. Addie Helder, a brother Jack, and a sister Mrs. Irene Femfs, all of Olga. Funeral services will be conducted, Saturday, March 11, at 1 p.m. within the Olga Community Hall, under the direction of the Westford-Beck Funeral Home. Interment, Olga Cemetery.

BARGER, John L., aged 81 years of Route 3, Ferndale, passed away Sunday, January 4, (1959) in a local hospital following a brief illness. Mr Barger had been a resident of the Ferndale community for the past 21 years. He is survived by his wife Alice, one daughter, Mrs. Blanche Schneider of Irving, Alberta, two sons: Douglas of North Bend and Stanley of Everett. Two sisters Mrs. Mary Sherman and Mrs. Alice Burbridge in Iowa, two brothers, Howard in Iowa and Sam in Oregon. Six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 8 at 2 p.m. in the Monroe Funeral Chapel in Ferndale. Bishop Henry Linde, officiating assisted by Elder Percy O'Neil. BARGER, Lucy Jane, aged 76 years, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. H. Olson, at Haynie at 12:30 o'clock last Thursday (July 10, 1930) morning. She had been ill for some time before her death and the end was expected. Funeral services were held at Purdy's chapel in this city Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock with the Rev. Kitchen of the Christian church of Vancouver, B.C., officiating, and the remains were taken to Bellingham for cremation. One daughter, Mrs. Olson, and three sons, Selah D. Barger of Pasadena, Cal., Loren W. Barger of Lancaster, N.Y., and Fred H. Barger of Vancouver, B.C., survive.

BARGEWELL, Benjamin Arthur, age 75, of 2004-E. Sunset Dr., passed away in a local hospital Saturday, May 28, (1961). A resident of Whatcom County for the past 72 years, Mr. Bargewell was a retired farmer, having farmed in Whatcom County for 24 years, worked at the Carnation Milk Co. in Everson for fourteen years and the Columbia Valley Sash & Door Co. for 10 years. Survivors are his widow, Bertha E., at home; one daughter, Mrs. Orville Driver and two grandsons, Michael and Christopher Driver, all of San Francisco, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Tillotson and Mrs. Ellen Muir, both of Sumas; two brothers, Herbert, of Anacortes and Ezra of Port Angeles; numerous nieces and nephews. The remains rest at the Jones Funeral Home where services will be conducted by the Rev. Donald Wrigley Wednesday, May 31 at 10:30 a. m. Final resting place Greenacres Memorial Park.

BARGEWELL, Celestia Alice, age 80 years, of Rt. 2, Everson, passed away at a Bellingham hospital Wednesday, August 5, (1959). Mrs. Bargewell had been a resident of Whatcom County since 1884 and she leaves to survive three sons, Harry of San Jose, Calif., Elwin of Rochelle, Ill., and Clayton of Gustine, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Lillian Sturgeon of Port Angeles, Mrs. Mildred Kalferd of Bellingham, and Mrs. Hazel Williams of Gustine, Calif.; one brother, Edward Welch of Carbonado, Wash.; four sisters, Mrs. Rachael Coligan of Nooksack, Mrs. Grace Martin, Portland, Mrs. Geneva Grover of Tacoma and Mrs. Myrtle Carlson of Everett; also 11 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 8, at 2 p.m. at the Gillies Funeral Home in Sumas, with the Rev. Norvil Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Nooksack Cemetery.

BARGEWELL, Edward - Funeral service for Edward Bargewell, 83, of Rt. 2, Everson, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Gillies Funeral Home in Nooksack, followed by burial in Nooksack Cemetery. Mr. Bargewell died Wednesday in a Bellingham hospital after a lingering illness. He had lived in Whatcom County 72 years, coming here when he was 11 years old with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Bargewell from England. They settled in the Everson-Nooksack district. He married Miss Celestia A. Welch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Welch, also pioneer residents of that area. Mr. and Mrs. Bargewell celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last Aug. 15. Mr. Bargewell worked in mills as a young man, then for many years was employed at the Carnation plant in Everson. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Harry and Clayton Bargewell of Gustine, Calif., and Elwin Bargewell of Toppenish; three daughters, Mrs. Lillian Sturgeon of Port Angeles, Mrs. Edward Kaiferd of Rt. 5, Bellingham, and Mrs. Hazel Williams of Gustine, Calif.; three granddaughters, Mrs. Grace Warner of Bellingham; Mrs. Violet Rock of Bandon, Ore., and Miss Celestia Mary Bargewell of Gustine, Calif.; three grandsons, Marvin Sturgeon of Pleasanton, Calif., James Sturgeon of Port Angeles and Robert Williams of Gustine, Calif., and 16 great grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Arthur Bargewell of Bellingham; Ezra Bargewell of Port Angeles and Herbert Bargewell of Anacortes, and two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Tillotson and Mrs. Ellen Muir, both of Sumas.

BARICH, Martin L., age 81 years, of 1125 Sixteenth Street, passed away at a local hospital Friday, November 27, (1953) following a lingering illness. Mr. Barich had resided in Bellingham for the past 51 years and was a retired fisherman. He was a member of the Church of the Sacred Heart. Mr. Barich is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jean M. Manka, of this city, and Mrs. Olin Ashcraft of Hot Springs, Mont.; three grandchildren, Glendine Manka, of this city, and Walker and Frances Ashcraft in Montana. BARKER, Annie L., age 82 years of 2235 Franklin Street passed away in a local hospital Sunday, March 13, (1960) following an extended illness. Mrs. Barker had been a longtime resident of Bellingham and leaves to survive, two daughters, Mrs. Winnifred Kuder, city, and Mrs. Augusta Holden of Empire, Oregon; and two grandsons, Palmer J., Holden, with the U.S. Navy in Dam Neck, Virginia, and Homer D. BARKER, Arthur E., age 74, of 2215 Electric Ave., passed away suddenly at his home, Sunday, Jan. 14, (1962). Mr. Barker was a resident of Bellingham for the past 30 years and was a retired meat cutter. He was a member of the Everett Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. No. 479, and the Meat Cutters Union Local 247. BARKER, Bennie Louis Sr., 56, 2834 W. Maplewood Ave., died Wednesday (March 28, 1984) in Bellingham. He was born on Jan. 7, 1928 at Pineville, MO, and had been a local resident for 41 years. He was employed at the Milne Shell service station and had worked on Holly Street since 1953. He also was a veteran of World War II. BARKER, Edward D. of Bellingham died Friday, Nov. 13, 1998 in Bellingham. He was 81. A private family graveside service will be held at Greenacres Memorial Park. BARKER, Gene E., age 78, lifetime resident of Whatcom Co., passed away Sunday, April 13, 1997 at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born June 2, 1918 in Snoqualmie, WA to Howard and Agnes (Herbert) Barker. Survivors include daughters, Nancy Lorton of Shelton, WA, Maryanne Wiggs of E. Wenatchee, WA; brothers, Jack Barker of Woodland, WA, Harold Barker of Bellingham; sister, Hazel Nelson of Ferndale; foster sister, Dolly Bishop of Bellingham, WA; and several nieces and nephews. Gene served in the Army during WWII under General Patton in the Battle Of The Bulge. His lifetime occupations were with Washington Loggers and fishing in Alaska with Pacific American Fishermen. BARKER, Orval W. - Memorial services for Orval W. Barker, 70, former owner of Barker Hose and Fittings in Squalicum Harbor, were held today at Greenacres Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Barker was past master of Nooksack Valley Lodge No. 105 F&AM, past deputy of District No. 10, Grand Lodge of Washington; a member of Bellingham Bay Lodge No. 44, F&AM, and Cariboo Lodge No. 4, AF&AM, Barkerville, B.C.; and a past patron of Nooksack Chapter No. 171, Order of Eastern Star. He was a member of Garden Street United Methodist Church and Bellingham Yacht Club. Mr. Barker's son, Scott G. Barker, now owns Barker Hose and Fittings. Mr. Barker was an avid sportsman who fished and boated in Alaska, the Yukon and British Columbia. Survivors in addition to his son include his wife, Mary Margaret, of the family home; a daughter, Mary Sue Williams of Bellingham; three grandchildren; his mother, Ethel M. Bryer, Surrey, B.C.; and a brother, Wilbur Barker of Tampa, Fla. Arrangements are by Greenacres Funeral Home.

BARKER, Pearl M., age 81 of 700 32nd St., passed away Tuesday, July 12, (1977). A resident of this community for the past 33 years, Mrs. Barker was a member of the Bellingham Gospel Center. Surviving 6 sons, Ed, Ralph, Everett, Ernest, Ben and Alvin, all of Bellingham; 2 daughters, Mary Payton and Dottie Granity, both of Bellingham; 1 sister, Mrs. Effie Walters of Noel, Missouri; 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. BARKER, Ralph C., Sr., of Bellingham returned home to the Lord on Thursday, January 23, 2003. He was 78, born on April 9, 1924 in Pineville, MO to Bert and Pearl (Watkins) Barker. A resident of Whatcom County since 1944, Ralph served during the Korean Conflict as a Corporal with the US Army. He married Betty J. McDougall on September 20, 1958 in Bellingham. Ralph was a dedicated iron worker, mechanic, and an avid fisherman. He is survived by his wife Betty children Chuck, Marji, Bev, Brenda, Ralph Jr., Jim, and Mike 17 grandchildren two great-grandchildren sister Mary Payton brothers Everett Barker and Alvin Barker and numerous nieces and nephews. BARKER, Ronald Lee. A Custer man, Ronald Lee Barker, 25, 3173 Barker's Lane, was electrocuted Monday (July 10, 1972) when the crane he was operating touched some overhead wires. Barker was working for Snelson Inc., of Sedro Woolley. He graduated from Bellingham High in 1960, and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. Surviving are his wife, Loraine; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Barker of Bellingham and a grandmother, Mrs. Hattie Haan of Lynden. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Veroske's Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Haynie Cemetery.

BARKER, Virginia P. - Funeral services for Virginia P. Barker, 50, of 2104 Humboldt St. will be at 1 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Carl Fisher will officiate the services at the Jerns & LeVeck Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenacres Memorial Park. Mrs. Barker died Wednesday (Oct. 8, 1986) at a local hospital. BARKER, Wilfred F., age 73, of 2215 Electric, passed away suddenly Saturday, December 26, (1953). Mr. Barker had been a resident of this community for the past 40 years and was a retired carpenter. Surviving relatives are his widow, Mary, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Rose Noble of Everett, and Mrs. Irene Dean of Seattle; one son Howard A. Barker of Bellingham; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Howard E. Barker of Bandon, Ore., and Arthur E. of Bellingham; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Brackinreed of Bellingham, and a number of nephews and nieces. BARKMAN, Peter K., age 61 of Route 1 Blaine, passed away Saturday March 19, (1960) in a local hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Barkman had been a resident of Whatcom County the past 3 years and was a member of Mennonite Brethren Church. Survived by his wife Matilda, one daughter, Mrs. Esther Richardson of Stockton, Calif., two sons, David of Victorville, Calif., John of Los Angeles, Calif., four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Suderman, Mrs. Anna Theissen, Miss Mary Barkman all of Dinuba, Calif., Mrs. Katherine Willems of Blaine, one brother Bill of Dinuba, four grandchildren, numerous other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Monday March 21 at 2 p.m. in the Whitehorn Mennonite Brethren Church, Rev. P. C. Martens and Rev. N. Siemens officiating. The remains will be forwarded to Reedley, Calif. for interment by the Moles Monroe Funeral Home.

BARKUS, Alma Louise, age 79 years, of Salem, Ore., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 18, (1955) at a local hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Barkus was a resident of Salem, but has resided with her sister, Mrs. Frank Bergsma of Ferndale for the past five years. She was a member of the Leslie Methodist Church of Salem and is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Emma Holt of Glendale, Calif., Mrs. Rose McDonell of Seattle, Mrs. Frank Bergsma of Ferndale; one brother, Peter J. Bestler of Los Angeles, Calif., and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, January 20, at 1 p.m. in the Old Tacoma Cemetery under direction of the Monroe Funeral Home of Ferndale.

BARLEAN, Nancy Ann, age 89, of Route 1, Everson, passed away Tuesday, March 8, (1949) in a local hospital. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Sarah Hoel, of Recluse, Wyoming, Mrs. Ada Bates of Everson, Route 1, Mrs. Emily Hoy, of Sedro-Woolley, Route 2, and Mrs. Lottie Barton, of Cascade, Montana. Also three sons, Dan, of Recluse, Wyoming, John, of Everson, Route 1, and Sam, of Bellingham, Route 5. Two brothers, George, of Pottorff-Hatfield, Missouri, and John, of Lamar, Colorado, and 28 grandchildren. The remains are resting at the Gillies Funeral Home in Sumas where funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 14, at 2 p.m. Interment in the Sumas Cemetery.

BARLEAN, Patricia (Grandma Pat) passed away, surrounded by the love of her family, on Thursday, October 21, 2004. She was born on July 2, 1920. Her daughter, Wilma and her grandson, Tim preceded Patricia in death. She is survived by her husband, Bernie; children, Wanda, Greg (Linda), and Ron (Bennet), all of Everson; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends. BARLEAN, Paul Stanley. Paul Stanley Barlean officially has been pronounced dead by a Canadian court of law. Barlean, 31, was attempting to bring a fishing trawler from the west coast of northern Vancouver Island to Bellingham by himself last Nov. 8, (1978). Neither Barlean nor the boat has been found. [May 23, 1979] He is survived by his wife, Robin, and children Ila, Jonathan and Jennifer, at the family home, 3137 Birchwood Ave. His mother, Ethel Sheline, and sister, Anne Parks, live in Bellingham. Other brothers and sisters include B. T. Barlean, Everson; David Barlean, Ferndale; James Barlean, Everson; Dorothy Davidson, The Dalles, Ore.; Charles Barlean, Challenge, Calif.; Barbara Johnson, Red Oak, Iowa; J. M. Barlean, Dallas, Texas, and Jeanette Sims, Nashville, Tenn. Barlean was working at the Greenwood logging camp on Vancouver Island at the time of his disappearance. He was a graduate of Nooksack Valley High School. A memorial service will be held June 9 at the Congregational Church, Cornwall Avenue and D Street.

BARLEAN, Samuel Michael, age 64, of Route 2, Everson, passed away Monday, June 8, (1964) of leukemia in a Seattle hospital. Mr. Barlean had been a resident of the Everson area since 1941 and leaves to survive his widow, Mrs. Ethel May Barlean of the home; 6 sons, Bernard of Everson, Charles of Tucson, Ariz., Joseph of Irving, Texas, James of Fresno, Calif., and David and Paul of Nooksack; 4 daughters, Mrs. Anne Parks of Anacortes, Mrs. Dorothy Davidson of Seattle, Mrs. Jeanette Sims of Port Orchard and Miss Barbara Barlean of Seattle; 22 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. BARLETT, Fred S., age 59, who has resided in Denver, Colo., for the past year, passed away in that city Tuesday, Nov. 10, (1959) following a brief illness. BARLOW, Dr. T. M. "Tony", age 81, 15th St., passed away in a local hospital Sunday, Nov. 17, (1957). Dr. Barlow had resided in this community for the past 68 years; had practiced dentistry since 1904; was a graduate of the American College of Dentists and for many years served on the National Board of Dentists and was past president of the Washington State Dental Association. Among his other affiliations were his membership in Bellingham Lodge No. 194, where he was a past exalted ruler; a member and past president of the Bellingham Rotary Club; a member of Fairhaven Lodge No. 73, F & AM; a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies and had attained the 33 Degree in Masonry. Dr. Barlow had been a member of the Hobby Club, and was current president of the Bellingham First Federal Savings & Loan Association. Surviving relatives are his daughter, Mrs. Marie Spier of Cashmere, Wash.; two sons, Marvin K. of Phoenix, Ariz., and Edward M. Barlow of Forest Hills, N. Y.; seven grandchildren and one brother, Glenn of Fullerton, Calif. The remains rest at Jones' Harlow-Hollingsworth Funeral Home where services will be conducted by Dr. W. Carl Calhoun and officers of the Rose Croix of the Scottish Rite Bodies, Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 3 p.m. Cremation.

BARMORE, Albert, a long-time employee at Georgia-Pacific Corp, died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 1992 in a Whatcom County care center after an extended illness. Mr. Barmore, 83, lived at 1629 Eldridge Ave. He was born April 20, 1908, in Berkeley, Calif., to Bunyon ad Alma Barmore. He moved to Bellingham as a young child. Mr. Barmore worked for 45 years at Georgia-Pacific, retiring in 1974 as a machine tender. He married Signa Anderson on Oct. 27, 1949, in Bellingham. She survives him at the family home. Mr. Barmore was a life member of Bellingham Lodge 194 of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel at Greenacres Funeral Home, Northwest and Axton Roads. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Greenacres Memorial Park. BARNARD, Margaret Jane, age 82 of Route 1, Ferndale, passed away at her home Wednesday, May 31, (1950). Mrs. Barnard had been a resident of the community for the past 47 years. Surviving relatives include her husband, Orvin C.; a daughter, Mrs. Rhea Pinckney, of Aberdeen; a sister, Mrs. Brainard Wright, of Wayne, Ohio; two brothers, A. H. James, of Bellingham, and Wilbur James, of Kane, Penn.; also numerous nieces and nephews including Mrs. Beryl J. Bruff, of Bellingham. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 3, at 2 p.m. in the Monroe Chapel at Ferndale with the Rev. Buford Clark officiating. Interment in Greenacres.

BARNARD, O. C. - An old time oilman who lived 50 years in Whatcom County, O. C. Barnard, 86, 1713 G St., died Thursday (Oct. 8, 1953) at a local hospital. His father was one of the first drillers in Oil City, Pa., about 1860 when the industry was pioneered. Mr. Barnard worked in the oil fields in his youth before coming to Whatcom County in 1903. In 1916 he bought land near Laurel which he cleared and farmed until his retirement. He was a member of the Pomona Grange, Whatcom County Farm Bureau and Whatcom County Poultry Association. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Rhea Pinckney, Aberdeen; a foster daughter, Mrs. Alice Johnson, Seattle; and a niece, Mrs. Beyrl Bruff, Bellingham. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Monroe Funeral Home, Ferndale. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park.

BARNES, Alfred T. H., age 68 of 2730 Superior St., passed away Sunday Dec. 16, 1979. He was a lifetime resident of this community and a retired fireman from the Bellingham Fire Dept. BARNES, Anna E., age 77, of 2601 F Street, passed away in a local hospital, Wednesday morning, December 28, (1949) following a lingering illness. Mrs. Barnes had been a resident of Bellingham for the past year and was formerly of Grand Forks, N. D. She was a member of the St. Paul's Episcopal Church and of the League of Women Voters. Surviving relatives include one son, Ransom E. Barnes, of Merced, Calif.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Maude G. Barnes, of Bellingham, with whom she made her home. The remains were forwarded to Grand Forks for interment by the Westford-Beck Funeral Home.

BARNES, Bethana Belle, age 85, of 2306 Happy Court, passed away in a local hospital Tuesday, November 13, (1951). Mrs. Barnes had resided in this community for the past 44 years and was a member of the Nazarene Church. Surviving relatives are three sons, George L. Eliott, of Bellingham, Raymond N. Elliott, of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Carl C. BARNES, Boyd B., age 58 years, of Rt. 3, Ferndale, passed away suddenly at his home Saturday, July 20, (1952). Mr. Barnes had been a resident of the Aldergrove community for the past 22 years. He was a member of the Kulshan Post, American Legion, Orchard Grange, Longshoremen Union Local No. 19. He is survived by his wife, Thea; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Ferrell, Mrs. Etta Mae Rooney, Mrs. Fannie Porter, all of Prichard, Ala.; one brother, Floyd, of Fort Meyers, Fla.; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 23, at 2 p.m. at the Monroe Funeral Chapel at Ferndale, with Rev. A. H. Johnson, officiating. Interment, Enterprise Cemetery.

BARNES, Charles Edward, age 92, of Seattle, passed away in the city Sunday, July 2, (1950) following a short illness. Mr. Barnes had been a resident of the Lynden district since 1906, moving to Seattle 2 1/2 years ago. Surviving relatives include 2 daughters, Mrs. Fred Groth, of Nanaimo, B.C., and Mrs. Garritt VanWyke, of Seattle; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 6, at 2 p.m. within the Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden with Theodore Smith, of Bellingham, officiating. Interment in the Lynden cemetery.

BARNES, Clarence A. - Visitation for Clarence A. "Doc" Barnes Jr. of Lynden will be until 9 tonight and from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Gillies Funeral Home in Lynden. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Greenacres Memorial Park, followed by a funeral at 2 p.m. at Lynden United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joyce O'Conner-Magee officiating. Mr. Barnes died at home Saturday, Nov. 16, 1996. He was 81. Born May 23, 1915 in Offerle, Kan. to Clarence and Erma Gee Barnes Sr., he grew up in Mullinville, Kan., graduating from Mullinville High School in 1934. He married his first wife Leola in 1941. The same year, he joined the U.S. Army Air Corps. After his discharge in 1945, he worked for what is now Northwest Pipeline. Mr. Barnes first came to the Sumas area in 1954 when he worked at the pipeline's compressor station. He moved to Idaho for a few years, then returned to Sumas, where he retired in 1976 as superintendent of the station. After his first wife's death in 1973, he married Marjorie Ayer in Clyde, Texas. They lived in Lynden since 1976. Mr. Barnes was a member of Lynden United Methodist Church and the Sumas Veteran of Foreign Wars. In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by a son Tommie Barnes in 1988. Survivors include his wife of the family home; son C. A. "Butch" Barnes of Qatar; sisters Lena Hawkins and Ethel Price, both of Greensburg, Kan.; stepdaughters Rita Lahman of Everett and Lynn Abbott of Farmington, NM; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

BARNES, Clayton Jesse, 86, passed away July 4, 2002. His parents, two brothers and loving wife, Maxine M. Barnes, preceded him in death. He is survived by two sons, a daughter, and their spouses, Larry and Linda Barnes of Great Falls, Mt., William and Jennifer Barnes of Forks, WA, and Rae and Art Schouweiler of Anacortes, WA his sister and brother-in-law, Saralee and Merlin Reeck of Bellingham WA. He has 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Clayton enjoyed his family. He was a good son, a fine brother, a loving husband and a wonderful father. A memorial service will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Olympia WA on June 18, 2002 at 1:00 p.m.

BARNES, Daynor - Custer resident Daynor N. Barnes died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1993 in Bellingham. He was 79. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Moles Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ron Slater officiating. He was born June 25, 1913, near Sedro-Woolley to Jesse and Iva Nelson Barnes. He moved to Custer in 1921. It was there he married June Ada Walsh in 1935. She preceded him in death in 1954. He also was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth E. Barnes, in 1979. Mr. Barnes was a member of Carpenters and Joiners Local No. 756 in Bellingham. He bowled in the Senior State League and was a member of the Wisconsin team of Ferndale. He also enjoyed fishing. Survivors include son Darrel J. Barnes of Lynden; daughter Carol Bauthues-Barnes of Ferndale; brother Clayton Barnes of Olympia; sister Sara Lee Reeck of Bellingham; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. BARNES, Delcie Mae of Bellingham passed away on Monday, Dec. 5, (2005) in her home. She will be sorely missed by her friends and family alike. She was 76. Delcie leaves behind her loving daughter, Cheryl Ann Thompson; sisters Della Chapman, Nadine Bermaster and Norma Hardin; great-aunt Margaret Munroe; and many, many other family members of her extended family. Delcie was a widow. Born at St. Luke's Hospital in Bellingham on June 1, 1929, to Henrietta Munroe and Roy M. Lack, Delcie graduated from Bellingham High School in 1947 and moved to California in 1950. She spent 40 years in the banking industry as manager of savings and loan before retiring and returning to Bellingham in 1992. She was an active volunteer, Soroptimist and member of the local Moose lodge, as well as of the Fourth Corner Community Church. She volunteered much of her time at the Puget Sound Blood Center and also served for more than eight years as a Washington State Parks Department camp host. She loved reading and travel, but most of all, she loved her family. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Delcie Barnes will be held at Fourth Corner Community Church in Bellingham, located at 4071 Home Road on Saturday, Dec. 17th, at 1:00 p.m.

BARNES, Edna I., 60, 2730 Superior St., died Sunday. A lifetime resident of Whatcom County, she was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and the Young Mothers Club. Surviving are the husband Alfred; three daughters Mrs. Judy Thomas of Bellingham and Mrs. Donna West and Mrs. Joyce Smith of Oak Harbor; two brothers, Ted Chandler and Myron Chandler, both of Bellingham, and six grandchildren. BARNES, Ellen M., age 69 years, passed away at 521 Garden street, Thursday, March 29, (1945). Mrs. Barnes had resided at Lake Samish the past fifty-three years and was a member of the Alder Grange and the Church of Christ. Surviving relatives are one son, Charles G. BARNES, Frances Brett, age 45, of Route 5, Lake Samish, Bellingham, passed away in Los Angeles Friday, September 18, (1953). Mrs. Barnes had been taking care of her uncle in Los Angeles for the past five months, and had previously resided in Bellingham for 25 years. She was a member of the Lutheran Church, and leaves to survive her husband, Charles G. Barnes, at the family home; and several cousins including Mrs. Roy Freeman, of Wenatchee, John Brett, of East Wenatchee, and Earl Brett, of Tacoma. BARNES, Frank, age 89 years, of 2931 Kulshan Street, passed away at a local hospital Tuesday, July 21, (1953) following a lingering illness. Mr. Barnes had been a resident of the community for many years and was a member of the Church of the Assumption. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Barnes is survived by one son, O. F. Barnes, of Sedro Woolley; one daughter, Mrs. Harvey Galbraith, of Mount Vernon; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Emlaw, of St. Catherine's Ontario. BARNES, George S. of Ferndale, WA, age 83, passed away at a Bellingham care facility on August 8, 2008. He was born April 30, 1925, in Bellingham, WA, to Jesse A. and Gladys (Scarlett) Barnes. George had a life filled with diversity; he had a Bellingham Herald paper route when he was a boy, cashiered at a bank, worked for Pacific American Fisheries, farmed for 36 years, operated a carpet store, sold real estate and insurance, worked for a cable company in the Olympia area, and he took the Dale Carnegie course to improve himself. Deeply patriotic, he considered that his greatest achievement was serving his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. His hobbies included reading, gardening and tending his orchard, and listening to jazz and blues music. George is survived by Gloria, his wife of 60 years, and children, Jeff Barnes, Vicki Wagner, Jess Barnes, and Vivian Barnes. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 16, 2008, at Greenacres Chapel, 5700 Northwest Drive, Ferndale, with full military honors to follow. BARNES, Gladys, age 92, of Bellingham, passed away Mon., Aug. 1 1994 of natural causes in San Antonio, Texas while on a trip to see her great-grandson Jamie Smith graduate with honors from Trinity University. Her daughter Shirley Jameson passed away on the same trip from a lengthy illness. Mrs. Barnes was born Dec. 11, 1901 in Duluth, Minnesota to parents George L. and Georgia Scarlett. She moved to Bellingham in 1902 and had resided in Bellingham since that time. She married Jesse A. Barnes in Bellingham on Mar. 20, 1921 and resided at the family home since 1926. Mrs. Barnes was Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Letter Carriers, Bellingham Branch; a 23 year member of the Phi Sigma Alpha Sorority, RHO Chapter, and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Laurel Veterans of Foreign Wars. She is survived by a son, George Barnes and wife Gloria of Ferndale; sister Phyllis Logan of Bellingham; 7 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death in 1966. Her daughter, Shirley Jameson, passed away Aug. 7, 1994 while on the same trip. A joint visitation will be at Greenacres Funeral Home, Wed., Aug. 10, 7-9 p.m. and Thurs., Aug. 11, 9 a.m. to noon. BARNES, Guy O., 84, 202 Washington Street, died Aug. 2, 1990 at home. He was born July 4, 1906 in Decatur, IL and grew up in Ferndale. He graduated from Pullman College in 1927; taught coaching for 20 years at North Central High School in Spokane, then worked for 20 years as an accountant for Pacific American Fisheries. He returned to Ferndale in 1978. Mr. Barnes was a member of First Baptist Church of Ferndale. Survivors include his wife, Mildred of the family home; daughter LaJoy Chervell of Mill Creek, WA; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister Helen Smith of Bellingham; 6 nieces and 2 nephews. Private interment was held Friday, Aug. 3 at Enterprise Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be Monday Aug. 6, 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Ralph Poulson officiating. BARNES, Iva M., age 77, of 3114 Birchwood, passed away in a local hospital, Wednesday, Dec. 12, (1962). She had been a resident of the Custer district for 30 years and resided the last 12 years in Bellingham. Mrs. Barnes was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bellingham and the Gold Star Mothers. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Merlin Reeck of Bellingham; two sons, Clayton of Olympia and Daynor of Custer; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother, William Nelson of Alberta. BARNES, John Amos, age 77, of 1915 G Street, passed away in a local hospital Saturday, April 7, (1951) following a brief illness. BARNES, Mae Agnes - Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Knapp and Knapp Funeral parlors for Mrs. Mae Agnes Barnes who died at her home west of Lynden Saturday morning (Oct. 12, 1940). Rev. R. L. Ousley officiated, and interment took place at the Lynden cemetery. Mrs. Barnes was born at Red Cloud, Nebraska and was 63 years of age. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Eastman, of Custer; eight sons, Jess and Floyd Barnes of Bellingham; and Harold, Victor, John Harvey, Russell and Warren Barnes of Lynden; twelve grandchildren; two brothers in Seattle, and one sister, Mrs. Klein, of Bellingham.

BARNES, Mildred - A funeral service for Mildred Lucille Barnes of Los Angeles, formerly of Ferndale, will be held at 11 a.m. Thurs. in the chapel at Greenacres Funeral Home in Ferndale, with the Rev. Ralph Poulson officiating. Burial will be at Enterprise Cemetery in Ferndale. Mrs. Barnes died Sat. Dec. 18, 1999, in Los Angeles. She was 82. She was born Dec. 3, 1917, to Joseph H. and Hazel (Osborne) Brill in New Mexico. She married Guy O. Barnes, who died in 1990. Mrs. Barnes worked as a legal secretary. Mrs. Barnes was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Ferndale. Survivors include son Jerry W. Anderson of California.

BARNES, Stephen C., age 88 of Bellingham, passed away July 6, 2008. He was born September 3, 1919 in Rome, NY to Edwin & Katherine (Kalk) Barnes. After serving in the U.S. Navy during WWII, he married Corrinne Wilson on Valentine's Day, 1946, and they have lived in the area since 1950. Steve owned & operated a number of businesses, including Whatcom Tire until his retirement in the late 1980s. He was a member of the Bellingham Elks Club and Assumption Catholic Church. Steve's passion in life was hunting. The family wishes to thank the caregivers at The Courtyard for their excellent and loving care and the Whatcom Hospice staff who helped in his final days. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Corrinne Barnes of Bellingham; brother James E. Barnes of Chittenango, NY, sister Kay Benedikter of Jacksonville, FL, step-children Gary (Wanda) Clark of Tacoma and Diane (Louie) Cosimeno of Rome, NY, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Barnes had been a resident of this community for the past twenty years and was a retired barber and a member of the Church of the Nazarene. BARNES, V. R. "Happy," age 59 of Rt. 1 Custer passed away Friday, Feb. 22, (1957) at a local hospital following an extended illness. He had been a resident of Custer for the past 39 years and served with the U.S. Army in World War II. Surviving relatives include 7 brothers, Jesse and Floyd both of Bellingham, Harold in Chehalis, John of South Tacoma and Warren on the Smith Road, Harvey of Boston, Mass., Russell of Custer, 1 sister Mrs. Dorothy Eastman of Olympia. She was a member of the Evergreen Community Church and was a Sunday School Teacher for the Evergreen Church; was herd manager for the Barnes Cattle Farm. She leaves to survive her parents, George and Gloria Barnes; 1 sister, Vicki Keep of Ferndale; 2 brothers, Jeffery D. Barnes of Tenino; and Jess Allan Barnes of Ferndale; paternal grandparent, Gladys Barnes of Bellingham; maternal grandparents, Roy Taylor of Bellingham and Grace Taylor of Oregon. BARNES, William F., age 84, of Los Angeles, and visiting with a nephew here, passed away in a private nursing home Saturday, July 28, (1956). Mr. Barnes was a retired carpenter, had lived in Bellingham from 1888 to 1900, in Portland, Ore., several years and in Los Angeles the past 35 years. Surviving relatives include a nephew, Charles G. Barnes of Lake Samish, and two cousins, Joe Hostetter of Turlock, Calif., and Mrs. Zelma Greenfield of San Francisco, Calif. The remains were forwarded to Forest Lawn Cemetery, Los Angeles, Calif., by the Jones' Harlow-Hollingsworth Funeral Home.

BARNESSON, Chester, 1311 Grant Street, age 74, passed away Friday, November 11, (1966). Mr. Barnesson had resided in this city the past five months, and was a former resident of Snohomish. He was a member of the Lutheran Church, and International Boilermakers Union. Survivors are his widow, Johanna, at home; two sons, Chester R., Puyallup; Lewis A., Los Angeles, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Mae E. Pickell, Los Angles, Calif.; Mrs. Stella Larson in Colorado; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services will be conducted by Pastor Evald E. BARNETT, Emma M. - Funeral services for Emma M. Barnett, 85, of 7106 Tall Cedars Estates, Ferndale, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wed. at the Chapel of Westford Funeral Home with the Rev. Colin Campbell officiating. Mrs. Barnett died Thurs. (March 28, 1991) at a local nursing home. She was born Emma Meyers on June 29, 1905 in Millet, Alberta. She moved to Whatcom County in 1923 and married Horace Barnett on Nov 10, 1929. He died in 1987. Mrs. Barnett attended Western Washington State College and Success Business College. She and her husband owned a motel. She was a member of the St. Joseph Hospital Orthopedic Guild. She also enjoyed gardening and traveling to Alaska and Mexico with her husband. Survivors include a sister, Arpa Silver of Calgary, Alberta; a brother, Walter Meyers of Millet, Alberta; and numerous nieces and nephews. Arrangements are by Westford Funeral Home.

BARNETT, Horace E., 85, 7106 Tall Cedars, Ferndale, died Sat. at his home. A retired contractor, he had been a resident of Whatcom County since 1958. He was born April 19, 1901 in Kansas City, Kan. He was a member of the Masonic order, Scottish Rite bodies of Bellingham Valley, the Nile Temple of Shrine, the Northwest Shrine Club and a life member of Bellingham Bay Lodge No. 44. He worked as a miner in Alaska for 10 years. Survivors include his wife, Emma, of the family home and sisters Ruth Rancich of Auburn and Eva Barkley of Seattle. BARNETT, Thelma C., 81, who lived in Bellingham all of her life, died Wednesday (Jan. 13, 1988) at her home. Mrs. Barnett, 2300 Jaeger St., was born Feb. 28, 1906. Her first husband, Marion Ritchie, and her second husband, Arthur Barnett, died earlier. She is survived by her daughter, Marian G. Albans of Bellingham; a son Wiley M. BARNETT, Uel B., age 90 years of 1522 Lincoln Street passed away Sunday, July 17, (1960) in a local rest home following an extended illness. Mr. Barnett had been a resident of Bellingham for the past 59 years. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Neva Peterson of Bellingham, Mrs. Ruth Rancich and Mrs. Eva Barkley, both of Seattle; one son, Horace E. Barnett of Blaine; also 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. BARNETT, William "Bill," age 66 years, 201 Twenty-first Street, passed away at a local hospital Thursday, June 7, (1945). Mr. Barnett had resided here the past thirty-three years. Deceased was for many years a city police officer and more recently was a guard at the Bellingham Iron Works, Marine Division. BARNHARD, John, age 82, of Nooksack, passed away at a local hospital Thursday, March 23, (1950) following a lingering illness. Mr. Barnhard had been a resident of Nooksack for the past 28 years and was a member of the Advent Christian Church. BARNHARDT, Ione, age 41 years, Route 2 Ferndale, passed away at a local hospital, following a lingering illness, Wednesday, October 29, (1947). She had lived in the county her entire lifetime, and was a member of the Orchard Grange No. 346, Orchard Goodwill Club, and the St. Luke's Alumni Association. Mrs. Barnhardt was a graduate of the 1925 class of Ferndale high school, and the 1928 class of the St. Luke's hospital. Survivors are the husband, Merle; one daughter, Joan; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rogers, Ferndale; three sisters, Mrs. Frances Parry, Ferndale, Mrs. Erma Hatchman, Route 3 Bellingham, Mrs. Edna Sayre, Seattle; one nephew, Frank Hatchman; two nieces, Elaine Hatchman and Arlene Parry, and numerous other relatives. BARNHART, Anna I., age 76, of 1232 Grant St., passed away in Pt. Angeles Sunday, July 27, (1958). Mrs. Barnhart had resided in the Rome District for several years before moving to Bellingham in 1935, and had taught school in Michigan for 25 years before coming to Whatcom County. Deceased was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a life member of the Perry Chapter No. 221, Order of Eastern Star at Perry, Mich. She leaves to survive two sisters, Mrs. Charles R. Stewart of Bellingham and Mrs. Charles W. Alward of Port Angeles; four brothers, Omer McDonald of Athabaska, Alb., Duncan McDonald of Alberni, B.C., James McDonald of Burnaby, B.C., and William McDonald of Central Point, Ore., also many nieces and nephews. BARNHART, Clarence, age 50, of 1410 Garden Street, passed away in a local hospital Saturday, May 1, (1948). Mr. Barnhart had resided in this community for the past 20 years and was a member of Whatcom Lodge No. 151, F. & A. M., Albert J. Hamilton Post No. 7, American Legion, and also the Drum and Bugle Corps. Surviving relatives are the widow, Mary, at home; one daughter, Mrs. Delores Anderson, of Bellingham; two sons, George and Marlyn, both in the U.S. Navy; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Marlow, of Spokane, Mrs. Hazel Graham, of Coulee City, and Mrs. Gladys Verguit, of Idaho; two brothers, Sylvester and Harry, of Spokane. BARNHART, Duane Allen passed away Sept. 23, 1996 at his home in Yakima, WA, after an extended illness. He was born in Bellingham, WA on March 28, 1946. His last years were spent fishing in his riverboat on the Cowlitz River with sons Duane Jr. and Charles and grandson Tyler Barnhart. The years between 1963 and 1973 he served his country in the U.S. Navy as an airplane mechanic on the USS Enterprise in the Indian Ocean. He also spent time in Subic Bay, Philippines flying with Reconnaissance during the Vietnam War. He was also stationed at Whidbey Naval Air, living with his family in Anacortes, WA. He is survived by his mother Carla M. Barnhart of Mukilteo, brothers Gary Barnhart of Portland, OR, sisters Janice Barnhart of Poulsbo, Sandra Van Duisen of B'ham and Laura Barnhart of Sedro Woolley, WA. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Barnhart. He also leaves a good friend Michelle Wise of Yakima, who cared for him during his illness. His sons Duane Barnhart J. and Family of Olympia, WA and Charles Barnhart and family of Everett, WA. Also numerous nieces and nephews. In keeping with his wishes, no services will be held. Cremation arrangements were by Colonial Funeral, Toppenish, WA.

BARNHART, Harold, 2817 E. Sunset Dr., died Saturday (Aug. 30, 1975) in a local hospital. He was 78. A retired candy manufacturer, Mr. Barnhart had made his home in Bellingham since 1969. Survivors include a son, Dr. Roger A., and two grandchildren, all of Bellingham. At his request, no funeral services were held. Veroske's Bellingham Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

BARNHART, Ida Belle, 80, of Rt. 3, Ferndale, passed away in a local hospital Sunday, Dec. 25, (1955) following an extended illness. Mrs. Barnhart had lived in the Ferndale area 31 years. She was a member of Ferndale First Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Esther Trivett of North Bellingham, and Mrs. Ruby Prather of Seattle; two sons, Joseph of Ferndale, and Walter of Richland, Wash.; a brother and sister in Missouri; eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, from Monroe Funeral Chapel in Ferndale with Rev. Ralph Funkhouser officiating. Final resting place Greenacres Memorial Park.

BARNHART, Mabel Estes, age 98, of Marysville and formerly of Lynden, died Monday, June 20, 1988, in Marysville. Mrs. Barnhart was born October 17, 1889, at Stevens Point, Wisconsin. She lived for many years in Lynden, where she and her husband, John, homesteaded. She lived at Granite Falls for several years and for the past 21 years in Marysville. She is survived by a daughter, Pauline Kinney, of Marysville; and a granddaughter, Janice, of Spokane. At her request, there will be no memorial services. Following cremation, interment will be in the Lynden Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Schaefer-Shipman Funeral home of Marysville.

Mrs. Barnhart had resided in Bellingham for many years; was a member of the Evergreen Garden Club and chairman of the Retarded Children; member of the Lake Padden Demonstration Club; member of the Holly Rebekah Lodge No. 3; honorary life member of the Ground Observer Corps. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Deloris Jackson, of Bellingham; two sons, Merlyn C., USN, of San Diego, Calif., and George A. of Guam; 12 grandchildren; three sisters, Miss Minnie Raths, of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Alma Clark of Spokane, and Mrs. Martha Baldwin, of Opportunity; one brother, Arthur Raths, of Spokane. The remains rest at the Jones Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be conducted by the Rev. Mrs. O. T. Field, Friday Aug. 28 at 1 p.m. at Bay View Cemetery.

BARNHART, Mildred (SoRelle), age 88, former B'ham. resident, died Thurs. Dec. 28th (1978), in Ogden, Utah. She was born Dec. 29, 1889 in Bellingham, WA. to George & Belle Hammer SoRelle, married to Harry E. Barnhart from whom she was later divorced. She graduated from Whatcom High School & Bellingham State Normal College. She taught school in Custer, Olympia, Okanogan & Seattle, WA. until retiring in 1956. She lived in B'ham. from 1956 to 1973, when she moved to Ogden, Utah to live with her daughter. She was former member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Wash. State Retired Teachers Assn., the Women's Music Club & the Methodist Church. She is survived by 1 daughter, Mrs. Les. (Jane) Gardiner of Ogden, Utah. 9 grandchildren & 14 great grandchildren. BARNHART, Walter B., age 75 of 1200 Birchwood passed away Thurs., Jan. 29, (1976). Mr. Barnhart had been a resident of Bellingham the past 12 years and was retired from General Electric. He was a veteran of World Wars I & II and a member of the DAV. He leaves to survive a son, Walter Barnhart of Yakima; 2 daughters, Mrs. Betty Harrison of Acme and Mrs. Beverly Gardner of Seattle; 9 grandchildren, numerous great - grandchildren; brother, Joseph M. Barnhart Jr. of Ferndale; sister, Mrs. Ruby Prather of this city. Services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Westford Funeral Home with Rev. Julia Brand officiating. Cremation.

BARNHART, Winnifred M., 2501 E St., age 72, passed away Thursday, Oct. 24, (1974). She was a member of the Central Lutheran Church, South Bellingham Community Club, Rome Grange Auxiliary and the Evergreen Garden Club. Surviving are 1 son, Kenneth W. Knudson, City; 3 daughters, Mrs. Earl Pyeatt, Bellevue, Wash., Mrs. Reuben Lykke and Mrs. Bill Davis both of this city; 2 step-children, Winnifred Pattison, City and Ed Barnhart, Seattle; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Archie V. Anable, Seattle, Clyde A. Anable, City. Memorial services will be conducted Monday, Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. at the Central Lutheran Church under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home.

BARNHOLT, Edna age 79, of 409 York St., passed away Thurs., Dec. 4, in B'ham, WA. She has been a resident of B'ham for the past 55 years, attended the Lutheran Church. Survived by 2 sons, William and Raymond, both of B'ham; 1 daughter Florence Caisse of Oregon; 3 brothers, Reinhold Gutzman of California, Eric of B'ham and Dick of Lynden; 2 sisters, Flora Soon of White Rock, B.C. and Trudy Montizambert of California; 17 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Her husband Wilford and daughter Helen Whitman both preceded her in death. Funeral Services will be held Tues., Dec. 9 at 1 p.m. in Jerns LeVeck Funeral Chapel, with Reverend Roger Johnson officiating. Interment Greenacres. Visitation will be Mon. 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. at the Jerns LeVeck Chapel.

BARNHOLT, Wilfred A. - Funeral services for Wilfred A. Barnholt, 89, 409 York St., will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Veroske's Funeral Home. A life resident of Whatcom County, Mr. Barnholt was a retired Bellingham street car motorman and had also farmed. He died Wednesday (April 11, 1973). Survivors include his widow Edna; two sons, William and Raymond of Bellingham; three daughters, Frances Ward of Oakland, Calif., Helen Whitman of Custer and Florence Caisse of Salem, Ore.; 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Greenacres Memorial Park.

BARNHOLT, William Lee - Visitation for William Lee Barnholt St. will be from 1 to 3 p.m. today at Jern LeVeck Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Jerns LeVeck Funeral Chapel, followed by burial in Greenacres Cemetery. Mr. Barnholt, 71, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 1997, at his Bellingham home. He was born August 12, 1926, in Red Bluff, Calif., to Wilfred Alton and Edna FlorenTina (Gutzman) Barnholt. Mr. Barnholt was a member of Garden Street Methodist Church and VFW Post 1585. He enjoyed building things, music and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife Alta. He is survived by two sons, William Barnholt Jr. of Everson and Gerald Barnholt of Marysville; a daughter, Cheryl Jones of Marysville; a stepdaughter, Sharon Crawford of Bellingham; a sister, Florence Caisse of Portland, Ore.; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

BARNHOUSE, Mary - Graveside services for Mary Barnhouse of Lynden, will be on Wednesday October 11 at 9 a.m. in Enterprise Cemetery (Vista Road, off the Grandview Road, Ferndale) with Father Jim Lee officiating. Mrs. Barnhouse passed away in Bellingham on October 5, 1995. Services are under the care of Gillies Funeral Home, Lynden.

BARNUM, Emma L., age 88, of 1319 Garden St., passed away in a local hospital Friday, April 10, (1953). Mrs. Barnum had resided in this community for the past 29 years and was a member of the Baptist Church, but had in recent years attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Surviving relatives are one niece, Mrs. Arthur Anderson, and two nephews, Griff and Edward Williams, all of Lawrence. The remains rest at the funeral home of Harlow-Hollingsworth where private services will be conducted by the Rev. James Martyn Wilson, Monday, April 13, at 1:30 p.m. Cremation.

BARONIO, Bert, age 64, of 1310 Iowa Street, passed away in a local hospital Wednesday morning, January 4, (1950) following a short illness. Mr. Baronio was a native of Italy, coming to this country about 45 years ago. he was a member of the Catholic Church. Thee are no known relatives in this country. Rosary will be said Friday, January 6, at 7:30 p.m. within the Church of the Assumption. Requiem high mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 7, at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Bernard Cremer, celebrant. Interment in Bay View Cemetery under the direction of the Bingham-Dahlquist & Jerns Funeral Home.
