W. F. Moore Passes Away at St. Luke's.
W. F. MOORE, an old soldier who was hurt about two weeks ago while blasting out on the Guide Meridian road and brought into St. Luke's hospital, died this morning. While in the hospital he was taken down with pneumonia, of which he died. Stedman post will have charge of the funeral, which will occur tomorrow afternoon at NOICE's parlors at 2 o'clock.

Abijah IVES died today at St. Luke's hospital, at the age of 76 years. Mrs. M. A. HAYES, mother of John HAYES, the Whatcom county pioneer, died this morning at the age of 80 years. The funeral will be held from the family residence day after tomorrow at the hour of 2 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. A. LINDSAY of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, relatives of E. M. WILSON of Fairhaven, are in the city on a short visit. Mr. LINDSAY, who is an implement dealer in Milwaukee, is much impressed with the Bellingham Bay cities. F. E. DANIELS will build a neat residence at 1631 King street and R. LAGASSE will build another at number 1639 on the same street. Al REUTER and family will leave Sunday over the C.P.R. on a visit to his parents at Birch Bay, Wisconsin, whom he has not seen for 20 years. J. L. DAVIS, up to the hour of going press, was the latest victim to the knot saw demon. He lost several fingers of the left hand at the Mount Baker mill. The county commissioners today made an order establishing a new precinct at Maple Falls and appointed J. H. CANNON justice of the peace for the new precinct. Martin SUTHERLAND, the pioneer painter and paperhanger, left yesterday for St. Paul via the Great Northern railway on a visit to friends. Mr. SUTHERLAND will be absent about three months. E. R. CROFT has disposed of his stock of livery horses to the Larson Livery company, who are putting up a fine brick and stone livery barn on Elk street. This purchase gives Mr. LARSON a needed additional stable of livery horses. Mr. CROFT will devote his attention to the transfer business.
