Burlington: Ullery Publishing Company, 1912, p 242 Dorman Bridgman Eaton KENT, insurance, Montpelier [Washington County, Vermont], was born 01 November 1875 at Calais [Washington County, Vermont], son of Murray Abdiel and Ruth Eaton (BENNETT) KENT. Educated in the public schools of Calais, at Montpelier Union School, and at Montpelier Seminary, where he graduated in 1894. Commenced working in the actuarial department of the National Life Insurance Company in 1896, continuing to date. For the past ten years he has devoted much time to genealogical work for himself and others. Has compiled an ancestry of his children as yet unpublished, which will when printed, make a volume of some 700 pages. Democrat. Member of the executive committee of the Church of the Messiah (Unitarian), Montpelier. Member of Aurora Lodge, Free & Accepted Masons; the King Solomon Royal Arch Chapter; the Montpelier Council, Royal & Select Masons; the Mt. Zion Commandery, the Mt. Sinai Temple, Mystic Shrine. Member of the Apollo Club. Is a member, librarian, and custodian of the Vermont Historical Society; charter member of the Montpelier Country Club; member Montpelier Lodge of Elks, and is now secretary of that organization. In 1904 Mr. [Dorman Bridgman Eaton] KENT married [Miss?] Agnes THOMPSON of Lancaster [Coos County], New Hampshire; they have two sons, Bennett Thompson and Richard Howard. Submitted by Cathy Kubly
