Otis J. GROSS, insurance, Montpelier [Washington County, Vermont], was born 
12 July 1874 at Richford [Franklin County, Vermont], son of William and Rose 
(SHARON) GROSS. Educated at Richford Academy, Montpelier Seminary, and at 
Sauvier School of Languages. Taught school for eight years; was railroad 
agent two years; was assistant secretary of the Vermont Mutual Fire Insurance 
Company for several years; at present is general manager of the Connecticut 
General Life Insurance Company. Republican. Religious preference, 
Methodist. Is grand noble of Vermont Lodge No. 2, Independent Order of Odd 
Fellows. In 1897 he [Otis J. GROSS] married [Miss?] Anna E. WILLARD of 
Richford [Franklin County, Vermont]; they have four children: Ira C., Frank 
K., Lena M., and Robert W.
