GREENE, of Warren [Washington County, Vermont], was born 21 September 1856 in Rochester [Windsor County, Vermont], son of Milton and Aurora (GOODNO) GREENE. Brought up as a farmer; educated in the common schools of Rochester; and State Normal school at Randolph [Orange County, Vermont]. Concluding to adopt the medical profession, he studied for three years with his brother, Dr. L. M. GREENE of Bethel [Windsor County, Vermont] and meanwhile attended lectures at the U. V. M., from which institution he graduated M. D. in 1879. Commenced practice in Rochester, remained there one year and then removed to Warren, where his devotion to his chosen profession has secured to him a large and steadily increasing practice. Is a member of the State Medical Society. Belongs to the Republican party, and though never an eager aspirant for political honors, has occupied the office of justice of the peace and in 1888 was elected to represent Warren in the Legislature, where he was a useful member of the committee on manufactures. Two brothers of Mr. GREENE occupy the pulpit, one in Lowell, Massachusetts, and one in Wakefield, Massachusetts [both in Middlesex County]. On 04 March 1879 he [Olin D.
