Jeremiah DEADY, merchant, Montpelier [Washington County, Vermont], was born 
13 December 1856 in County Kerry, Ireland, son of John and Johanna (DALTON) 
DEADY. Educated in the public schools. Was formerly a section hand at 
Montpelier, and also station agent. Has been engaged in the grocery business 
for the past ten years. Democrat; alderman of the Sixth Ward. In religious 
belief is a Roman Catholic. In 1876 Mr. Jeremiah DEADY married [Miss?] Ellen 
O'BRIEN of Winooski [Chittenden County, Vermont].
