Educated in public schools, Barre Academy, and Dartmouth College, B. L. 1885. Member of firm of Blair & Currier, 1886-1889; head of firm R. S. Currier & Company 1889-1898; contractor and builder 1899-1906; county supervisor of highways Washington County since 1906. Was trustee Barre Academy; member of Barre school board 1886-1896; president Barre Retail Merchants' Association four years; director French's Barre Library since 1889; trustee Barre City Hospital. Republican; alderman from second ward 1902-1904, and president of the board in 1903; chairman board street commissioners 1903-1904; represented Barre in Legislature 1894-1896; member Republican city committee 1900-1908, and county committee since 1906. Congregationalist. Member Delta Kappa and Kappa Kappa Kappa fraternities of Dartmouth College; past chancellor Vincitia Lodge No. 10, Knights of Pythias; member Suadah Temple No. 40, Dramatic Order Knights of Khorassan.
