Burlington: Ullery Publishing Company, 1912, p 141 Frederick Henry CARTER, physician, Plainfield [Washington County, Vermont], was born 25 March 1876 at Providence [Providence County], Rhode Island, son of Louis and Tarsella (CURRIER) CARTER. He was educated at the public and high school in Holliston [Middlesex County], Massachusetts, at Worcester Academy, Worcester [Middlesex County], Massachusetts; and took a post graduate course at Carney Hospital, South Boston, and was one year at Chester St. Dispensary, Boston [Suffolk County], Massachusetts. Dr. CARTER began the practice of medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, later locating in East Barre [Washington County, Vermont]. In 1908 he came to Plainfield, where he has since been engaged in practice. He is a member of the State Medical Society and Washington County Medical Society. Republican.
