Eugene E. CAMPBELL, insurance and real estate, Waterbury [Washington County, 
Vermont], was born 28 May 1865 at Braintree [Orange County, Vermont], son of 
Phineas and Adelaide (THURSTON) CAMPBELL. Educated in the public schools; 
was station agent for Central Vermont Railway twenty-five years; employed 
last at Waterbury, where he remained for seven years; resigned 1909 to take 
up insurance and real estate business. Republican; village trustee 1909 and 
1910; president of the village 1911. Congregationalist. Member of Winooski 
Lodge No. 49, Free & Accepted Masons; Waterbury Chapter No. 24, Royal Arch 
Masons; Mount Zion Commandery No. 9, Knights Templar, Montpelier; Mt. Sinai 
Temple, Mystic Shrine; past noble grand of Mentor Lodge No. 51, Independent 
Order of Odd Fellows; past chief patriarch Alhambra Encampment No. 20; past 
chancellor commander Paul Dillingham Lodge No. 31, Knights of Pythias; member 
of Suadah Temple No. 140, Dramatic Order Knights of Korassan, of Barre 
[Washington County]. In 1889 he [Eugene E. CAMPBELL] married [Miss?] Bertha 
M. DENNY of Northfield [Washington County, Vermont]; they have two sons, 
Harold Denny and Homer Pearl.
