CALLAHAN, granite manufacturer, Montpelier [Washington County, Vermont], was born 25 June 1869 at Moretown [Washington County, Vermont], son of Patrick and Katherine (PRICE) CALLAHAN. Educated in the public schools. He was post office clerk and letter carrier for fifteen years, and a granite manufacturer for eighteen years. Mr. CALLAHAN recently purchased the business and plant of the Columbian Granite Company of Montpelier. He is a Democrat, and in religious belief, a Roman Catholic. He is a past grand knight of Montpelier Council, Knights of Columbus, a past exalted ruler of Montpelier Lodge of Elks, and is a past venerable consul of Montpelier Camp, Modern Woodmen of America.
