Burlington: Ullery Pub Co, 1912, p 104 Charles Weston AVERILL, merchant, Barre, was born 06 February 1859 in Barre [Washington County, Vermont], son of A. B. and Elizabeth S. AVERILL. He was educated in the public schools and Goddard Seminary. He was employed in farming; later as a builder until 1895, when he bought an interest in a hardware store, the firm name being Prindle & Averill until 1905, when he bought the Prindle interest and formed the present firm of C. W. Averill & Company, doing a general hardware and plumbing business. In 1883 Charles Weston AVERILL married Rose J. CARPENTER of Orange [Orange County, Vermont]. They have three children: Ivis M., Eula E., and Arthur L. Mr. AVERILL is a Democrat. He is a member of the Congregational Church, and a member of Granite Lodge No. 35, Free & Accepted Masons, Granite Chapter No. 26, Royal Arch Masons; St. Aldemar Commandery No. 11, Knights Templar; and Mt.
