"The Chubb Fish Rod Factory in Thetford was established in 1869, on the site of a former linseed oil factory on the Ompompanoosuc River, in the village of Post Mills.  Founded by Captain Thomas H. Chubb, formerly of Galveston, TX, the story of the fish rod factory provides insight into the Gilded Age in Vermont, with a few twists which make it an unusual story, as well."
