This Indenture made the twenty eighth Day of June One
Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Seven Between Andrew PAUL and Ann his
wife of Frederick County in the Colony of Virginia of the one par and
David and John SNODGRASS of the same place of the other part.

Witnesseth that the said Andrew PAUL and his wife Ann for and in
consideration of the sum of Five Shillings Current money of this Colony
to them in hand paid by the said David and John SNODGRASS before the
sealing & delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof they do hereby
acknowledge and thereof & thereupon doth fully clearly be absolutely
Release acquit exonerate the said David and John SNODGRASS their Heirs
Executors Adm’rs and assigns Have given granted Demised and by these
Present doth give a grant bargain Sell and Demise unto the said David
and John SNODGRASS and assigns one certain piece parcel or tract of Land
lying and being in the said County of Frederic and on the West side of
Opequon Creek and branch of the said Creek called Tuscorord branch being
part of a Tract of Land containing One Thousand Six Hundred and Fifty
Acres granted unto George ROBENSON &John PENTA (?) by Patent bearing
date the 12 day of November 1737 as may appear & formerly granted to
Richard BEESON Senior by virtue of Deed of conveyances of Lease & Release
from the said ROBENSON & PENTA (?) And dated the 29 of September 1737 as
may appear and on the Possession of the said Benjamin BEESON by Deeds of
conveyance of Lease and Release from the said Richard BEESON Senior
bearing date January the 6th 1743 as many appear and now in the
Possession of Andrew PAUL by Deeds of conveyance of Lease and Release
from the said Benjamin BEESON bearing date February the 11th 1752 as many
appear beginning at a bound of Spanish Oak standing in the last line of
the Original tract and running thence South 132 Poles to a Hickory bush
thence North Twenty five degree East One hundred and Ten poles to a heap
of Rocks thence North Nineteen Degrees West Forty Poles to a Hickory
Sapling thence North Ten Degrees East Two hundred Twenty Seven Poles to
a Walnut Sapling in a Valley thence West Seventy four Poles to a red oak
thence South Twenty four West Two hundred and Fifty Four poles to an Ash
thence South Fifteen Degrees West One hundred and twenty Poles to the
Beginning Containing Two Hundred Twenty Six Acres more or less together
with all the Rights members Privileges Rents Profits Incomes Advantages
and appurtenances ___ (?) ___ (?) ____ (?) the said David and John
SNODGRASS Heirs Executors

Adm’r and Assigns and for and During _________________ (?) And whole year
from the day of the date of __________________(?).complete and Ended
Yielding and Paying ___________ (?) One pepper Corn at the Feast of Saint
Michael the Arc Angel only if the same be lawfully demanded to the Intent
that by virtue of these Presents and of the ______ (?) for Transferring
Uses into Possession the said David and John SNODGRASS maybe in the actual
possession of the Premises and be unable to accept a grant of the
Reversions and Inheritances thereof to ___ (?) and their Heirs forever
In Witness or hereof the said Andrew PAUL and Ann his wife have hereunto
set their hands and Seals the day and Year first above Written.

At a Court held for Frederick County on Tuesday the 2nd of August 1757.

Exam.} This Deed of lease from Andrew PAUL and Ann his wife to David and
John SNODGRASS the said Ann being first privately examined and consenting
thereto was in open Court acknowledged by the parties and admitted to Record

Cop. Teste J WOOD Cler.
