The present structure is a
very nice white, weatherboarded house. It is part of the original house.

The Sumpters were one of the first
families to settle in this comunity, and
some of -the younger generation still live near the old home.

ARCHITECTUAL DESCRIPTION OF BUILDING:
(this is a 1 page form that I have taken the information from & put it into

Exterior:
2 story, frame/log
home in a T style with 3 chimney’s, 1 each on
the north, west & south sides of the house. Roof was shingle & is now
metal. 11 paned windows, no shutters or dormers. Also no cellar. A 1 story porch extends almost across the
entire length of the building. The entrance is plain.
Interior:
5 large rooms with 8
foot ceilings, with plain homemade popular painted doors. Walls are wood
panelled and papered. Floors are wide boards of varied widith. Hardware is
iron, common hindges, locks on outside doors. There are 2 mantels. The
staircase is one filght, no ballisters.
Present Condition:
1938
Excellent, has been rebuilt:
does not appear to be old.
Does Occupant seem to
appreciate old architectural features?: No.
