2021 Location Update: Visited by a group from the Floyd County Historical Society in August 2021. There have been many changes to this area over the years. The location is now part of Chantilly Farm RV Park. The cemetery is literally located next to the RV park office/store at the corner of Blue Grass Trail & Chantilly Loop Dr. The site is now maintained by Chantilly Farm. There are three gravestones lying on the ground. Only one has a few letters still visible (see below). Research continues as to who may be buried there.

Note from BarbR, compiler: I asked Jim Slusher if they had any history of this property, hoping for clues as to who might be buried here. This was his response:

I have some history for you. I’m going to follow up with the two folks recommended in the email. This is from Myra Adams.

The last owners (Hawks) were the heirs of the property of Cobra and Thelma Houchins. The Hawks may still own the junk yard at the corner of Franklin Pike and Poor House Farm Road. The Hawks are the people that I was told that were dragging junk cars through a black cemetery. The Turners got word and ask them to stop.

Connie knows Bruce Turner that lives in Floyd.  Perhaps, she could ask Bruce. He is a super nice guy. I believe he retired from police department and is now working at Gardner's Funeral Home.

You might ask Dorsey Thompson.

He certainly would have known Cobra Houchins.

Cobra was quite a character.   On a bet and a dare, he carried a 100-pound bag of sugar to town on his shoulder not switching shoulders. The legend goes on to say that he carried it back to the starting point.  His wife was Thelma Turner, a schoolteacher.

Connie knows both Bruce Turner and Dorsey Thompson very well, and you might find talking to Dorsey again informative and enjoyable.

If nothing shakes out there, I know a relative of Cobra's that might have some information.  I will try this cousin of Cobra 's in the next few days

Original Source: Visited by Jo Parr and Genevieve Starkey on 31 March 2009. They described the cemetery as opposite 2704 Franklin Pike. They also said “There is no longer evidence of a cemetery here as black native stones, which had marked graves have been pushed aside against a tree. Very overgrown with briers and we were told at one time old autos has been piled over the area. Some buried here may have been Claytor, King and Huff.”
