GEARHART,
Floyd Lewis, 60, of Floyd, passed away Friday, November 11, 1994, at his
son's home in Chesapeake. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Gearhart,
on October 1, 1994, and a sister Virginia Ethelene Vest. He is
survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey L. and Charlotte Gearhart,
Chesapeake; three grandchildren, James Ian Gearhart, Thomas Dylan Gearhart
and Horace Edward Cooper, III, all of Chesapeake; one sister, Oweda Conner,
Pulaski; two brothers, A. Lenwood Gearheart, Floyd, W.W. Gearheart,
Pilot. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Salem Primitive Baptist
Church (Head of The River Church) with Elder Hale Terry officiating.
Interment will follow in the Barlow Family Cemetery. Friends may
call after 2 p.m. Saturday at Gardner Funeral Home where the family will be
from 6 to 8 p.m.

Salem Hospital. She was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Bowles. She
is survived by her husband, Floyd Lewis Gearhart, Floyd; one son and
daughter-in-law, Jeffrey L. and Charlotte V. Gearhart, Chesapeake;
two grandchildren, James Gearhart and Thomas Dylan Gearhart,
both of Chesapeake; four brothers, Grover C. Barlow, Panama City,
Fla., Earnest A. Barlow, Floyd, Frank D. Barlow, Bassett,
Fred H. Barlow, Floyd. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m.
Tuesday at Salem Primitive Baptist Church (Head of the River) with Elder
Hale Terry officiating. Interment will follow in the Barlow Family
Cemetery. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Monday at Gardner Funeral Home
where the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. that evening.
