Subject: BURIAL LISTS-2 MCNEIL CEMETERIES--FLOYD COUNTY
And one more--In 2016 my granddaughter, Alyssa
George, restored an old McNeil Cemetery in Franklin County. In her
digging and prowling, she uncovered 2 stones that were not on record at
Franklin County Hist Soc. Her work and a brochure she produced are
on file at Franklin Co Hist Soc--Linda Stanley was director at that time.
Jacob McNeil/McNeal, our Revolutionary War ancestor, is buried there. It was a
huge job for my gal--cemetery is way off beaten track, not accessible except by
foot. Lugging tools, chainsaws, quikrete, etc. for a mile+ through
waist-high, tick-infested brush--I went with her a few times, as I knew (sort
of) how to find it. Do you have that list?
Best to you,
Clara Martin
