To get to the Hatcher family cemetery I will start you in Floyd, VA.

1. Leave Floyd on Rt 221, The Floyd Hwy, West.
2. Follow that to Shelors Mill, which is a small intersection with Canning Factory Rd.

3. Take a left off The Floyd Hwy onto Canning Factory Rd.
4. Begin to look immediately to your right for Black Ridge Rd. (Rt 726)
5. Take the right onto Black Ridge Rd.
6. A short distance down Black Ridge Rd on your right will be Rush Fork Rd (Rt 804).
7. This is the road that the cemetery is near.
8. Take Rush Fork Rd over a creek and past oppopo Rd and then John Deere Rd which will be on your right.
Go past John Deer road, to the physical address 2105 Rush Fork RD. Turn left. Go till the drive elbows left, you turn right. The cemetery is on the right past an island of trees in an open field.

Floyd - May 7 Mrs. Sarah Alice Hatcher 84, died today at the home of a daughter, Mrs. E M Dickerson, of Willis. Surviving are two daughters and four sons, including Mrs. H B Thornburg, Z P Hatcher, and J R Hatcher of Roanoke. Services will be held in the Grassy Creek Church Wednesday at 11 am., with
interment in the Hatcher Cemetery.

MRS MARY HATCHER BURIED ON SUNDAY
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Hatcher were held Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Joe Hillard, 57 Washington Street, Schoolfield by Elder Spangler of the Friendship Baptist church. Interment was made in Greenhill cemetery. The pall bearers were W L Horsley, W S Garrett, William M Terry, A. A. Sigmon, J E Dodson and I S Vass, all members of the Friendly Baptist church, of which deceased was a member. The flower bearers were Mesdames M L Kellam, Ruth Elliott, J R Willis, Pearl Whisnant, Mary Patterson, Ike Hilliard, A. A. Holley, George Lavender and Mrs. White, Mrs. Lavender and Mrs. Gibson.
Deceased is survived by three children, Mrs. J P Hurt, Blacksburg, VA; Mrs. W L Weadon and Mrs. Harry DeLong of Danville and Mrs Joe Hillard of Schoolfield, Three other children having preceded her to the grave.
