Her notes: Located behind the old Pine Creek Church (not to be confused with Pine Creek Church Cemetery on Spangler Mill Rd) There was once a roadway to drive to cemetery beside 976 Franklin Pike but it is currently not suited for driving. You will need to park and walk. Currently very overgrown.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Austin Via, daughter, Faith Renita Via, and brother, Harmon A. Via.
Survivors are: his wife, Josephine Preston Via, Floyd; one son, Kenneth Lee Via, Floyd; one daughter, Melanie D. Via, Floyd; Father, Rev. General Via, Floyd; three sisters, Virginia Hardy, Radford, Frances Pugh, Floyd, Helen Saunders, Baltimore, Md; four brothers, Peter Via, Fred Via, Walker Via, Earl Via, Floyd; one aunt, Hettie Harvey, New River.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 1987 at the Maberry Funeral Home with Rev. Junior Wimbush and Rev. Thomas Hairston officiating. Burial was in the Pine Creek Christian Church Cemetery, Floyd.
