Nunley Burroughs with this note: Simon JP Wood was the son of Wiley and
Florence A Wood. He married Mildred Bell Hefner March 30, 1936 in Lewisburg,
Greenbrier county, West Virginia. In the 1940 census He and Mildred were
living with Nellie's parents, Leslie and Nellie Catherine Smith Hefner. Simon
and Mildred had at least one son at the time, Bobbie L Wood. He and Mildred are both buried
here in Rosewood Cemetery. It is a pretty cemetery, on North Jefferson Street
