Mrs. Jessie Scales Wood, wife of Prof. S. A. Wood, of Martinsville, dropped dead at the home of her father, Mr. R. J. Scales, on Cleveland Avenue here, yesterday. Death resulted from heart trouble. 
Mrs. Wood, who was before her marriage, Miss Jessie Scales of Martinsville, was about 28 years old. She leaves a husband, father, mother, two brothers, a sister to mourn her loss. The funeral took place here this afternoon, and interment was in Oakwood Cemetery.
