(Hylton) Johnson, daughter Weta was born in present day, Copper Valley, Virginia and lived on a farm, as did most people in that area. She attended High School and College in Radford, Virginia.  As a young girl she attended the White Rock Church, in Floyd County, Va. Families would get together with others after the meetings. Girls would bring their cooking in boxes and place them on a table, and after church the boys would stand around and pick which girl they wanted to talk with and buy their box lunch/supper. Guy was a red head and he really liked Weta, but she thought he was ugly and didn't give him much thought. He bought her lunch and that is the way they met. He went into the army and they corresponded for many years before Weta finally said "Yes" to Guy.  She later studied at Holmes Bible College, in Greenville, S. C. She wanted to enter the mission field, as her sister-in-law had done. Perhaps she thought her, and Guy could do the same as Laura had done.  Her desire was to travel to China to mission there but never made it because of raising her three children by herself. Her husband Guy died in a car accident leaving her with three children to raise on her own. She never remarried and spent her life dedicated to her children. When she could, as the children got older, she would mission in Haiti, and speak at different churches here in the United States. Written by her daughter: Mary F.
