Schaper and Art Lester of this place and George Lester of Woden passed away Sunday after a long illness.  Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the M.E. church. Callie4 Ann Peterman, daughter of John and Abaline Peterman, was born in Christiansburg, Virginia, January 26,1859 and died April 26,1931 at the home of her daughter Mrs. T.C. Schaper in Lakota, having reached the age of 72 years, 3 months and 10 days.  She was married to Abraham J. Lester, Feb. 27, 1873 who preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 1928. There were twelve children born; five girls and seven boys, six of whom have preceded her in death. The children who are still alive are Clarence of Indianola, Iowa, Mrs. H.B. Ackers of Des Moines, George of Woden, Iowa, John of Denver, Colorado, Arthur and Mrs. T.C. Schaper of Lakota. There are nineteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Another Funeral Obit Mrs. Abe Lester of Lakota, who was ill several weeks with a lingering illness, died Sunday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T.C. Schaper. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the M.E. church and burial was made in Maple Hill Cemetery east of Lakota. Her husband and three daughters and three sons preceded her in death.
