a brief illness. He was preceded in death by a son, Stephen W. Howell. He
is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Ridgeway Howell; son, B. Scott
Howell; daughter, Lori H. Radford and husband, Michael, of Catawba; and a
loyal companion, Zeke. Warren
is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and served as a Master of the Taylor Lodge #
23 in 1974. He retired from General Electric in 1988. Services
will be held in the Chapel Mausoleum in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at 11
a.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2010, with the Rev. Larry Sprouse officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2010
at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be
