“George Hornbarger m. Margaret James 10 Jan 1809 in Montgomery Co., Va (parent of Floyd Co). Margaret was the dau/o William James of Franklin Co., Va. She was the sister to Cassandra James Jones, (m. Henry Jones 26 May 1817 Franklin Co,) and the Nancy James,  also sister to Sally James who m. Littleberry Vest in Franklin Co. in 1817. All of which you have in Families of Floyd County. I saw where Margaret's death record said she was the dau/o Joseph ………..but that is not correct. If you check in 1830 Franklin Co., William James, Sr. deeded land to his son, William James, Jr. and some of his children signed the deed, they were: Margaret and George Hornbarger; Cassandra and Henry Jones; Nancy James; Elizabeth James. William, Sr. had more children, Sally James Vest; my ggggggrandmother Frances James Hancock, and Joshua James………these are the ones that I know of……..there are more I am sure, just don't know which ones. Still working on them. I enjoyed seeing the Floyd Families, have it bookmarked!!”
