Hakelet or Hamlet

Ancestry.com indexed surname as both Hamlet & Haplet & looking again I supposed it could be Hamlet. When I checked for other information I could find nothing more spelling the surname Hakelet but when I tried Hamlet I found a marriage record for a William T. Hamlet to a Mary P. Brown 10-24-1854 Franklin Co., VA. He 37 yo widowed w/m, b. Pittsylvania Co., VA, s/o Robert & Eliz. Hamlett. She 39 yo single w/f, b. Franklin Co., VA, d/o Tarlton & Nancy Brown. I can find nothing more using either surname or anything of the parents noted in the marriage record.
