She was born and raised in Roanoke and had lived the last five years of her life at The Glebe in Daleville, Va. Corinne was born to the late Charles and Maggie White Epperley. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Hazel Hoback, Reba Epperley and her twin, Ida Claudine. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and devoted husband of 70 years, Harry W. Burnette; her daughter, Donna B. Melton and husband, Rick, of Kings Mountain, N.C.; and her granddaughter who she always referred to as "dollbaby," Ashley Melton. She had numerous nieces and nephews as well as special friends she cherished. Corinne was a graduate of William Fleming High School; a member of the Golden Colonels and was retired from Anthem BCBS. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Daleville. Mom counted her many blessings when she thought of her friends, some whom she had for over 70 years. Besides being a dedicated wife, she was also a loving mother and "Grammie" and will be sorely missed. The family would like to thank the staff at The Glebe (Assistant Living as well as Health Care) for their kindness and care. A special thank you to Southern Care Hospice, especially Libby and Vera who took such wonderful care of Mom the last few months of life. The Pastor Dave and Stuart Kelley for their many visits, prayers and song that Mom and Dad found so comforting. To all our Glebe friends we thank you for your prayers, calls, cards, support and mostly love. He was born June 15, 1926 in Roanoke, Virginia to James Epperley and Artie Jacobs. He married Thelma (Cookie) Morrell on April 15, 1950 at St. Marguerite's Catholic Church in Tooele. This union produced three sons: Wayne, Tom Jr., and Paul. Warren served his country proudly in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He retired from the Army in 1966 after twenty-two years of service. He received many medals and honors for his military service. Tom worked at Tooele Army Depot for five years before wartime injuries forced him into retirement. He was a convert to the Catholic faith and served and loved his church faithfully. He was past President of St. Marguerite's Mens Club, a church usher, a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, and past Grandknight of St. Marguerite's Council. He was past Commander of both the VFW and DAV chapters in Tooele and was very active in both organizations for many years. Tom and Cookie spent the last twenty winter years at their Yuma, Arizona home, where they had many friends and happy memories. Tom was an avid hunter and fisherman and, with our friends from Happy Valley, spent countless years with our families engaging in camping and the great outdoors. Tom is survived by Cookie, his loving wife of sixty-three years; his sons, Rev. Wayne T. Epperley, CSSp; Tom Jr. (June), Tooele; and Paul (Jen), Dallas, Texas; grandson, Adam Epperley; granddaughter,,Maria (Andrew) Roberts; great-grandson, Lestat; great-granddaughter, Maya; sister, Kaky Shirley, Round Rock, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law whom he loved very dearly, and who loved him in return. Funeral services will be held on
Thursday, November 7, 2013 at St. Marguerite's Catholic Church, Tooele, Utah,
where a Funeral Mass will be offered at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow in
