Mrs. Mary Alice Davidson, wife of Van Davidson, of Faber, died at three -
forty o'clock Saturday afternoon at the University Hospital, following a
brief illness. She was a native of Nelson
County, daughter of the late Edward and Florence Hill Harris, and was 68
years of age. Beside her husband, she is survived by the following children;
Alton Harris Davidson, Monroe; Browning and Carlyle Davidson,
Charlottesville; Ralph Davidson, Chicago; and Mrs. George A. Abbitt, of Columbus, Ohio. There are three grandchildren. Mrs. Davidson also leaves
one brother, Preston Harris, Birmingham, Ala., and three sisters, Mrs. S.G.Rodgers, Bluefield, W.Va;
Mrs. Bluma Flippo and
Miss Evangeline Harris, Staunton. The funeral was held at two
o'clock Monday afternoon from Rock Spring Methodist Church at Faber,
conducted by the pastor, the Rev. LCVaughan,
assisted by the Rev. G.E. Powell, of Louisa, The News Leader (Staunton,
