Noah Cox, abt 75 yo married w/m, b. May 21, 1843 VA. Father: Mathew Cox, b. VA. Mother: Priscilla Gilham, b. VA. Informant: R. H. Benton of Higginsville, MO. COD: had no medical attendent (fell dead on Street) report was the he had been treated for heart disease. Burial: Con Home.

Old Soldier Drops Dead
Noah Cox an old Confederate soldier from the Home at Higginsville dropped
dead Thursday afternoon at about 2:30 at the Missouri Pacific depot in East
Lexington. He and a comrade from the Home came up in the morning on
business and were expecting to return by the freight train.
Mr. Cox was seventy-three years of age. He entered the home three years
ago from Springfield. The body was taken to the Home Thursday evening, and
the funeral was held Friday afternoon.
