David Cockran m. 2^nd Iowa Griffith 7-29-1888 Patrick Co., VA. they are in Floyd Co., VA in 1900 with his mother 94 yo mother Ann. He & Iowa are still in Floyd in 1910 & 1920. I believe David is buried in Wood’s Gap Cemetery with only a CW marker with CO. D., 51^st INF. C.S.A. This CW information matches his pension application in 1909. On Feb 23, 1939, Iowa Cockran Haynes, applied for continuation of pension, stating David d. 3-22-1920 in Floyd Co., VA of paralisis. She remarried 1921 Monroe F. Haynes & he d. June 2, 1935. She gave David’s service info as he did in 1909. So, I’m fairly certain the grave in Wood’s Gap, marked with a CW marker is this David Cockran.
