Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas C. LAUGHTER announce the marriage of their daughter, Venice, to Ernest E. TURNER of Ogden. Mr. TURNER is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Percy William TURNER of 373 Second street. The wedding took place at the home of the bride’s parents, 178 West Quynne street, the ceremony being performed by Bishop Charles Wimmer of the L.D.S. Fifteenth ward.
The bride chose a blue suit with matching accessories and wore a corsage of gardenias and pink roses.
Her maid of honor was Miss Lorraine TURNER, and best man for Mr. TURNER was his brother, Budd.
Following the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served. Guests were relatives and close friends of the families.
The couple will make their home in Ogden.

Miss Maxine TURNER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Percy TURNER, and William M. SMITH, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert SMITH, of Farr West, were married recently, in the presence of the members of the immediate families. Lawrence Malan performed the ceremony.
The bride is a graduate of Ogden High school. The bridegroom attended Lewis and Morgan high schools before his enlistment in the U.S. army air corps where he served 50 mission with the Eighth air force in England.
Following a short honeymoon the young folks are at home for a short stay, but they will leave soon for Omaha, Nebr., where Mr. SMITH will attend the Creighton university.
A number of parties are being planned in their honor. The first one was a dinner and card party at the home of Mrs. Clifford Talbot, on the evening of June 1. On Friday, Jun 7, a dinner and reception was held in honor of the young couple at the I.O.O.F. hall. Covers were laid for fifty-five guests.
