Hyrum E. Gale, was pleasantly surprised the evening of February 11, at a party given at the home of a daughter, Mrs. J.M. Dwyer, Thirty-sixth street and Quincy avenue, in celebration of Mr. Gale’s sixty-eighth birthday.

Centering the long table were red sweet peas and daffodils. The rooms were decorated in the valentine motif.
Covers were laid for twenty-two of his immediate family.

Mr. Gale has been a resident of Ogden his entire life.

HUNTSVILLE, Dec. 15---The home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Stoker was the scene of a party in honor of Mr. Stoker’s seventy-fifth birthday anniversary.

Luncheon was served to Mr. and Mrs. Parley Stoker, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Hokanson, Mrs. Walter Frazier, Ogden; Mr. and Mrs. Marlowe Stoker, Mr. and Mrs. Louey Stoker, Mrs. Hilda Burton, Leland Burton, Gene Burton, Betty Stoker, Ruth Stoker, Huntsville; Mrs. Thomas Anderson, Springfield, Ida.; Mrs. Don Stoker, Liberty; Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Carver, Eden; and Vern L. Stoker, just returned from France.

Mrs. Thomas Anderson, Springfield, Ida., has been visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. Perry Bingham, who have moved to Middleton to the L.K. Peterson home, which they purchased.

Vern Stoker, son of Thomas W. Stoker, is home following 42 months of service in Europe in the army supply department. He will leave soon for Fort Douglas, where he will be discharged.

Headline: Mrs. Francis Stoker-Sunday Event Will Honor 80th Birthday

Mrs. Frances R. Turner Stoker of 478 6th, will be honored at an open house on Sunday in observance of her 80th birthday.
Friends and relatives are invited to visit with her between the hours of 2 and 6 p.m. at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Alexander, 2927 Jefferson.

Mrs. Stoker was born Sept. 25, 1894, in Ogden, a daughter of Fred and Harriet Brooks.

SONS AND DAUGHTERS

She had eight sons and daughters, five of whom are living. They are: Mrs. Clarence (Bertha) Johnson of Sunnyvale, Calif.; Mrs. Albert (Alice) Alexander of Ogden; Mrs. Eddie (Lorraine) Dombrowski of Sunset; Mrs. Bill (Maxine) Smith of Washington Terrace; and David R. Turner of North Ogden.

Mrs. Stoker has 24 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
