Sheriff Jesse Tyler

1857-1900

Sheriff Tyler shot and killed George Curry aka Flat Nose Curry for cattle rustling on April 17, 1900.  Harvey Logan aka Kid Curry bwas so enraged that he vowed revenge.  He rode from New Mexico and in a gunfight killed Sheriff Tyler and Deputy Sheriff Sam Jenkins. 

 At that time Richard Dallin Westwood was appointed Sheriff of Grand County, Utah
