Established as a territory in 1850, Davis County was named afer Daniel Coon Davis, a captain in the Mormon Battalion. The territory became a county in 1852 and the county seat is located at Farmington. You can learn more about the history of the county at Wikipedia. Davis County is bordered by Box Elder, Weber, Morgan, Salt Lake, and Tooele counties.
