Mr. Willis, the great-great-grandson of Peter Josserand (1844-1905) said his ancestor build the Josserand Community of about 900 around the Josserand Lumber Company, erecting houses, a church, and the school in which his grandmother was a teacher. Peter Josserand provided the cemetery at Josserand.
