Services for Lewis David "Tommy" Stowe, 65, of Dublin, Texas, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Challis Baptist Church with the Rev. Cletus Caswell officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Cemetery in Terry County
under the direction of Burns-Smith Funeral Home.
Stowe died Friday, Aug. 30, 1996, at Dublin Hospital. He was born Aug. 1, 1931 in Olustee, Okla., and
married Ona Irene Ruff Stowe on Oct. 6, 1948, in Denison. He was a Baptist.
Stowe farmed in Frederick, Okla., and worked for a fertilizer plant in Bonham and Odessa.
He was a farmer in Terry County, retiring in 1991.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Lewis David Jr. of Dublin; four daughters, Sharon Kimbrell and Annette Vandervlist, both of Brownfield, Patricia Couch of Dublin and Ruby Dyer of Lamesa; four brothers, Junior and Johnny, both of Brownfield, Wayne of Seminole and Marty of Haltom City; five sisters, Faye Yandell of Irving, Dovie Rollinson of Canton, Sue Tye of Forney, Linda English of Granbury and Gloria Tidwell of Brownfield;
14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
