Loyd Wayne Yowell, 77, of Brownfield were held Thursday, Oct. 18, in
the Brownfield First Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Land and Rev.
Jonathan Land officiating. Interment was in Terry County
Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Yowell died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, in Brownfield. He was born June 1, 1930, in Paducah to Daniel Jason and Gay Yowell. He and his family moved to the Meadow area in 1936. Mr. Yowell married Beryl Henson in 1948. They farmed in Terry County and are also co-owners of Larry's Chemical, now managed by their oldest son--Larry. Mr. Yowell was a member of the Brownfield First Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by a son--Alan E. Yowell and a brother--D.J. Yowell, Jr. Mr. Yowell is survived by his wife Beryl; two sons--Larry and his wife--Sharon and Dennis and his wife--Peggy all of Brownfield and a daughter-in-law--Sheryl Yowell of Frisco. He is also survived by six grandchildren--Brad Yowell of Lubbock, Shelby Land and her husband--Jonathan of Princeton, N.J., Lindsay Yowell of Midland, Taylor Yowell of Los Angeles, Calif., Rylan Yowell of Dallas and Farron Anderson and her husband--Grant of Plano. Memorials may be made to the Brownfield First Baptist Church Building Fund.
