56, of Brownfield passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2007.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 17, at the Brownfield
Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Payne officiating. He was born Dec. 2, 1950, to Forrest and Mary Ann Yates in Washington D.C. at Walter Reed Hospital and grew up in Arizona where he graduated high school. He was employed with Don Robertson Electric Company in Brownfield. He was preceded in death by his mother, a brother, Richard Yates, and a sister, Diane Yates. Mr. Yates is survived by his father: Forrest Yates; three Brothers: Forrest Yates II and his wife, Louise, of Australia, Wayne Yates and his wife, Shareen, of Three Points, Ariz., & Clark Yates and his wife, Dorothy, of Brighton, Colo. He is also survived by three sisters: Barbara Morton and her husband, Michael, of Long Beach, Calif., Linda Salazar and her husband, Frank, of San Diego, California, Patricia Yates of Patagonia, Ariz., an adopted brother, Danny Reid, of Brownfield and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
