for Carlos Eugene Wilkins, 82, formerly of Brownfield will be at
3:30 PM, Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel
with Don McWhorter officiating. Burial will be in Terry County
Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Carlos passed away July 25, 2011, in a Midland Hospital. He was born September 8, 1928, in Gomez, Texas, to William R. and Mary E. Wilkins. He married Dorothy Elizabeth Truitt on December 21, 1947 in Brownfield. She preceded him in death on May 4, 2010. He farmed for 12 years. He then worked for Honolulu Oil Corp. from 1949-1953. He also worked for Amoco Oil from 1953-1986. After retiring he lived in Tokio until 2006 when he and his wife moved to Brownfield. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Carlos is survived by 3 sons, Troy Wilkins and wife Judy of Midland, Carlton Wilkins and wife Carol of Tokio, and Mike Wilkins and wife Wanda of Saginaw; 10 grandchildren, 16, great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchild.
