Obituary for
Henry Carr Wilkerson

Graveside services for Henry Carr Wilkerson, 94, were held Tuesday, Aug. 16,
at Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Elder Ronnie Hedges of Brownfield
Primitive Baptist Church officiating. Wilkerson died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006.
He was born Nov. 11, 1911, in Byrnside, Lincoln County, West Virginia,
to Henry H. and Delilah A. (Casdorph) Wilkerson. He graduated from Tucumcari
High School in Quay County, N.M. in 1929.
In the 1930's, he was an Elder and preached at the Primitive Baptist Church.
He lived with his parents in Quay County until their deaths in 1957 and 1958.
He
then lived in Clovis and Tucumcari until moving to Brownfield in the 1970's.
Wilkerson was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James Wilkerson
and his wife Nell, and Craig W. Wilkerson and his first wife Gertrude Ford
Wilkerson.
He is survived by a sister-in-law, Inez Wilkerson.
