Services for Thelma Beatrice Williams, 89, of Brownfield will be held at Bethel Baptist Church on Thursday, December 29, 2011, at 2pm with Britt Atkins officiating. Burial will be in the Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 28, from 6pm to 8pm.

Thelma passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2011, in Lubbock. She was born on June 7, 1922, to Thomas and Mary Grundy in Ferndale, AR. She married W. H. "Bill" Williams on September 25, 1937, in Aubrey, TX. She was an employee of the dietary department at Brownfield Regional Medical Center for many years. Thelma was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Williams, nine brothers and sisters, a granddaughter, Marilyn Williams, two daughters-in- law, Judy Williams and Bobbie Williams and a son-in-law, Joe Ervin.

Thelma is survived by a sister, Frances Safholm of Los Gatos, CA; two sons, Bill Williams and wife, Angie, of Tulsa, Ok, Tommy Williams of Colorado City; three daughters, Marie Moore and husband, Maurice, of Brownfield, Hazel Lowrey and husband, Roy, of Plains, Lynda Hext and husband, Jack, of Lubbock; 13 Grandchildrenl;22 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
