Wenzel died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, in Lubbock. Services were held
Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the First United Methodist Church in
Brownfield with Rev. Charles Addington officiating. Interment was in
Terry County Memorial Cemetery. She was born Dec. 2, 1930, in Brownfield to Cecil and Laura O'Neal. She graduated from Brownfield High School and married Leo Wenzel on Feb. 2, 1949, in Brownfield. Mary was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was involved in many church activities. She also participated in Maid and Matrons. Mrs. Wenzel is survived by her husband--Leo of Brownfield; two daughters--Theresa Berne and her husband Ed of McKinney and Virginia Wenzel of Littlefield; one sister--Vona Lee Hudspeth of Brownfield; one brother--Johnny O'Neal of Houston; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
