| Kathryn Welcher, 78, died on Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, in
Brownfield. Graveside services for Ms. Welcher were held
Thursday, Feb. 28, in the Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Dalton
Taylor officiating. Kathryn was born to James and Pauline Bass on Nov. 8, 1929, in Brownfield. She graduated from Wellman and later went to school to be a licensed vocational nurse. She lived in Brownfield until 1961, when she moved to Seagraves. She worked for Brownfield Regional Medical Center for 14 years until she retired in 1997. Kathryn is survived by one son--Robby and his companion--Mary Jane Landin of Corpus Christi. She is also survived by one daughter--Deanie Taylor and her husband--Dalton of Corpus Christi; two sisters--LaVeta Norman and her husband--Gerald of Post and Mary Lou Webb-Scott of Plano. She is also survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband--Jimmie Welcher on May 24, 1978 and one daughter--Linda Welcher in 1951.
