                                    Services for Lanny Jim Webb, 61, of Brownfield, were held April 26 in the
                                    First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Robert Fortney, pastor, officiating, 
                                    assisted by Robert Beasley.    The services were under the direction of
                                    Brownfield Funeral Home.

                                    Mr. Webb died April 24, 1997, at his home.   He was born May 1, 1935, in
                                    Brownfield and was married to Mary Lou Bass on Feb 12, 1956, in Terry
                                    County.    He was a 1953 graduate of Brownfield High School and attended
                                    Texas Western in El Paso.

                                    He was a farmer and ginner and purchased his first interest in the Needmore
                                    Gin in 1956.   He later became owner and operator of the gin.    He was a mem-
                                    ber of the Brownfield First Presbyterian Church where he had served as a trustee,
                                    elder and Sunday School teacher.    He was a member of the Brownfield First
                                    National Bank Board of Directors and also had served on the Board of the
                                    Brownfield Regional Medical Center.

                                    Mr. Webb had served on the City of Brownfield Board of Equalization and was
                                    a member of the Brownfield Masonic Lodge.   He is survived by his wife, 
                                    two daughters: Paula Reed of Brownfield and Kathy Kelln of Plano; one sister,
                                    Maurine Winn of Brownfield, and by two grandsons and two granddaughters.

                                    Pallbearers were Wilburn Bailey, Bob Boswell, Keith Cato, Noel Dean Flowers,
                                    Loyd Hahn, Loran Pitts, Jim Reed, Ken Ross, Royce Terry, James Thurman,
                                    Billy Timmons and Loyd Wayne Yowell.   Memorials may be made to the Brown-
                                    field First Presbyterian Church, 1001 E. Broadway.
