Florene Webb finished the journey of this life on April 13, 2007.    Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 16, at the Brownfield Church of Christ with Bob Reynolds officiating.   

Edna Florene Williamson was born in Brownfield on April 3, 1921, to J.D. and Isora Williamson and lived in Terry County all her life.   She graduated from Brownfield High School in 1938.   Flo married Sgt. M.O. "Bill" Webb on July 10, 1943. Their daughter, Ann, was born while Bill was MIA durning WWII. Upon his safe return, the Webb's set up house in Brownfield.

Flo worked as a bookkeeper for Burnet and Black CPAs for many years and then for Larry's Chemical. She enjoyed her flower garden and decorated her house with butterflies, which were indicative of her spirit.   Flo was described as a very gracious lady, lovely inside and out. Her gentle spirit was coupled with a steadfast faith; she was a life-long member of the Brownfield Church of Christ.  Her children rise up and call her "Blessed".

Florene is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her two sisters. 
She is survived by her daughter, Ann Chidester, of Austin; her son, Van and his wife Pam, of Lubbock; five grandchildren: Kerri Chidester, Shiloh Jones and her husband Josh, Jeremy Webb, Sean Webb and his wife Ashley, and Alethia Webb.

The family expresses appreciation to Home Instead Senior Care and Vista Care Hospice for their loving care. Donations are suggested to the Brownfield Church of Christ Building Fund, 502 Lubbock Rd., Brownfield, TX 79316.
