Alton Webb

Services for Alton Webb, 77, of Brownfield will be at 10:30 a.m. today at
First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Rhoads officiating. Burial
will be at Terry County Memorial Cemetery in Brownfield under the direction
of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Mr. Webb died at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 1983, at Methodist Hospital
in Lubbock, after a brief illness. He was born October 23, 1905, at
Lockney.
He was a Brownfield city councilmen and mayor pro-tem from 1970 to 1974,
and a member of the Brownfield Independent School Board from 1947 to 1954.
He was a member of the Brownfield Masonic Lodge and was an elder in the
Presbyterian Church.
He married Melba Cornelius of Brownfield, on May 14, 1929. She
died
August 19, 1982.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Tommy (Maurine) Winn, of Brownfield;
a son, Lanny Webb of Brownfield, and 4 grandchildren.
